The Minisforum M2 Pro is a compelling choice if you want high CPU and integrated-graphics performance in a compact, quiet desktop—but its 32 GB of memory is soldered, and demanding games may need reduced settings or other compromises. Whether it is worth buying depends on the price and availability you can confirm now: Notebookcheck listed its tested configuration at $1,439 and €1,519 in a review published September 16, 2026, while Minisforum’s product page showed it out of stock when accessed October 7, 2026.
What did Notebookcheck test?
Notebookcheck reviewed a configuration with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5X memory, and a 1 TB YMTC SSD. The review lists the memory at 7,467 MT/s and the 16-core, 16-thread processor at 45 W sustained power (PL1) and 65 W short-burst power (PL2). Minisforum supplied the review unit, as Notebookcheck disclosed.

The tested system ran Windows 11 Pro. Notebookcheck lists a 195 × 195 × 47.5 mm chassis, a weight of 1.37 kg, built-in speakers, and an internal 134 W power adapter. Those details describe the reviewed configuration; they should not be read as measurements of every configuration sold.
How fast is the M2 Pro, and what can it handle?
CPU and everyday performance
Notebookcheck found the Core Ultra X7 358H delivered ample CPU performance in its tests. That makes the M2 Pro a strong candidate for demanding desktop work in a small form factor, but the review’s findings do not guarantee the same results in every application or workload.

Integrated graphics and gaming
The review found the Arc B390 to be a substantial step forward for integrated graphics and often faster than the AMD Radeon 890M in Notebookcheck’s comparisons. That is a result from the reviewer’s test set, not a universal ranking across all games and systems. Notebookcheck also cautions that more demanding games may require compromises; the review does not support treating the M2 Pro as a no-limits gaming PC.
Minisforum lists a 50 TOPS NPU and peak GPU performance of 122 TOPS (Int8). These are manufacturer peak specifications, not direct evidence that a particular game, creative application, or AI workload will run at a given speed.
