On listed price, Spectrum Mobile can cost less for customers who already have qualifying Spectrum Internet. On reliability and speed, the available evidence does not support a universal winner over Verizon. Compare the plans and any promotions separately, then check coverage and performance where you actually use your phone.
How the monthly prices compare
Spectrum Mobile requires an active Spectrum Internet account, so its mobile price is not available to everyone. The Spectrum plan page lists monthly rates for additional lines; Verizon lists its Simplicity rate with Auto Pay and separately advertises a switch offer. Those prices are not a like-for-like comparison: the plans have different terms, and a promotion is not the same as an ongoing rate.

| Service and price basis | Monthly price | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Spectrum Unlimited, additional line | $30 | Listed additional-line rate; an active Spectrum Internet account is required. Spectrum also advertises one free year for the first line for eligible Spectrum Internet customers. See Spectrum Mobile plans. |
| Spectrum Unlimited Plus, additional line | $40 | Listed additional-line rate. See Spectrum Mobile plans. |
| Spectrum Unlimited Plus Premium, additional line | $50 | Listed additional-line rate. See Spectrum Mobile plans. |
| Verizon Simplicity | $45 | Listed rate with Auto Pay. See Verizon’s plan comparison. |
| Verizon switch offer | $30 | Current offer with Auto Pay, not the standard listed Simplicity rate. Check the offer’s live eligibility and terms on Verizon’s plan comparison. |
Spectrum’s page also advertises one free year for the first line for eligible Spectrum Internet customers; it is a limited introductory offer, not a recurring price. The rates and offer details above were listed on carrier pages accessed October 8, 2026, and may change. Check the live terms before switching. These figures do not establish the total cost of a household’s Spectrum Internet and mobile bundle, and no comparable taxes-and-fees total is established here.

Which carrier is more reliable?
There is no supported nationwide reliability ranking here that establishes Spectrum Mobile as more or less reliable than Verizon. A carrier’s broad coverage claims cannot tell you which service will work better inside your home, at work, or along your commute. Verizon’s comparison page references the RootMetrics United States RootScore Report for the second half of 2025, but that reference alone is not a direct Spectrum-versus-Verizon result.

For a decision that reflects your routine, check each carrier’s coverage at the exact addresses and routes that matter to you. Maps can help identify reported coverage, but they do not guarantee indoor reception or performance at a particular moment.
Which service is faster where you live?
The available figures do not establish which service is faster in a same-place, same-period independent comparison. A network label or national claim is not a promise of a particular download speed at your address. Speeds can vary with location, network load, device, and plan terms.

For a meaningful local comparison, look for independent measurements that test both services using comparable methods and time periods, and note whether results apply to your area or only to a national average. If those results are unavailable, avoid treating a broad speed ranking as a prediction for your own phone.

- Confirm eligibility. If you are considering Spectrum Mobile, make sure you have an active Spectrum Internet account and qualify for the price or introductory offer you are using in your calculation.
- Compare the ongoing bill. Use the same number of lines and compare standard monthly rates separately from a first-year free-line offer or Verizon’s switch promotion.
- Match the plan terms to your use. Consider mobile-data thresholds, hotspot use, international features, and upgrade benefits rather than choosing on the headline price alone.
- Check local coverage. Review both carriers at home, work, and along your regular routes; seek comparable local performance results where available.
- Check your phone. If bringing a device to Spectrum, confirm that it is compatible before switching. Spectrum says customers may bring a compatible phone.
