Is GTA 6 confirmed for PC?
No. Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and displays a November 19, 2026 release date; it does not list PC. Rockstar Support’s platform FAQ, last updated August 18, 2026, also identifies PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official material checked does not announce a PC edition or date.

Did Rockstar confirm GTA 6 for PC?
No. The recent “confirmation” claims stem from comments about Take-Two’s broader platform strategy, not an announcement by Rockstar about GTA VI.
In a September 17, 2026 report on a Take-Two investor meeting, GamesRadar said CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about PC launch cadence. He described the company’s general approach as launching for platforms with a meaningful audience, while noting that this is not always the case. He also said that “the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.” The remarks, as reported, do not name GTA VI, confirm a PC port, or give a release date. When is GTA 6 coming to PC?
There is no announced PC date. Rockstar’s confirmed November 19, 2026 date is for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its June 24, 2026 pre-order announcement describes the game as a single-player experience coming to those consoles, and the release-date announcement also sets November 19, 2026. Neither establishes a PC launch.
It is possible that Rockstar will announce additional platforms later, but that possibility is not a schedule. Without an official announcement, claims about when a PC version might arrive remain speculation.

Do Rockstar’s past PC ports predict GTA 6’s timing?
No reliable timetable can be inferred from earlier releases. PC Gamer’s August 28, 2026 guide gives these approximate gaps between console and PC launches:

Those are examples of past releases, not a formula for GTA VI. PC Gamer’s guide includes its own GTA VI timing suggestion as an estimate; it is not an announced Rockstar schedule.

Should you wait for PC or play on console?
The choice depends on whether you already own a supported console, whether playing at the November 2026 launch matters to you, and whether you are comfortable with the available console edition format. There are no official PC system requirements to use for a hardware decision.
- Wait: Makes sense if you want to play on PC and are willing to wait for Rockstar to announce whether and when it will release that version.
- Consider console: A PS5 or Xbox Series X|S is the only announced route to playing at the scheduled launch.
If buying a physical console edition, note that Rockstar says the box contains a digital download code, not a disc. Code activation may be subject to platform-account regional conditions; Rockstar recommends buying in the country associated with your account to avoid activation problems. Check the specific retailer’s listing and regional compatibility before purchasing.
