Debloat GUI is a free Windows 11 utility that gives you a graphical way to select and run PowerShell scripts for changing Windows apps, features, and settings. It may suit people who want to inspect script-based tweaks before applying them, but its publisher warns that the bundled scripts are old from 2024. There is no evidence here of a measured speed boost or independent testing on current Windows 11 builds, so treat it as a script launcher—not a proven performance optimizer.
What Debloat GUI does
FreeTimeTech describes Debloat GUI as a graphical front end for choosing, reviewing, and running PowerShell scripts. Its product page lists version 2.1.4 and says the program can be run without installation: extract the ZIP archive and launch Windows11Debloater.exe. These are the publisher’s descriptions, not independently verified test results. FreeTimeTech’s Debloat GUI page

Is it the best free Windows 11 optimization tool?
“Best” depends on what you need, and the available evidence does not establish a winner through comparative testing. Debloat GUI’s advantage is convenience: its interface organizes script-based changes into presets and individual choices. Its main drawback is currency. FreeTimeTech’s page, originally dated October 1, 2021 and carrying a February 22, 2024 title update, lists version 2.1.4 and warns that the included scripts are old from 2024. A friendly interface does not make an old script set current.

The page says the tool is mainly a front end for scripts from Chris Titus Tech and Sophia Script for Windows, and that it reads and edits text files. It names those projects as alternatives, but the available information does not support a current, feature-by-feature comparison or a definitive ranking. Before choosing any script-based utility, check the current upstream project and the scripts bundled with the specific download against your Windows build.
What to consider before running its scripts
Review the exact changes
Read each selection and its displayed PowerShell script before you run it. Removing or disabling an app or Windows feature can disrupt workflows that rely on it; do not assume a preset is appropriate just because its label matches your device.

Keep recovery separate from the tool
FreeTimeTech says a restore point is created at the start of the workflow and describes restore or undo options. Those descriptions do not guarantee that every change can be reversed or that System Restore will be available on your PC. Keep a separate backup of important files and confirm what recovery options your Windows installation actually has before making system changes.
Microsoft says point-in-time restore will be enabled by default starting with Windows 11 version 26H2 when the OS volume is at least 200 GB. That feature’s availability depends on both the Windows version and device conditions; it should not be treated as a recovery guarantee for every reader. Microsoft Support

Check whether a tweak is needed
Windows already provides built-in diagnostic-data and privacy controls, including settings related to activity history. Review those controls first if privacy is your main goal; their existence does not show that Debloat GUI’s changes are necessary or better. Quick Recap
Who should consider Debloat GUI?
- A possible fit: Windows users comfortable reviewing PowerShell scripts who value a GUI for selecting and inspecting changes.
- Use caution: Anyone relying on a preset without understanding what it changes, or unable to recover from an unwanted system change.
- Look elsewhere or use Windows controls: Anyone seeking a demonstrated speed improvement or assurance that every tweak has been validated for a current Windows 11 build. The available evidence establishes neither.
