The offer described here combines MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js with root access and four resource tiers. HostAdvice’s reported benchmark results are for one KVM 4 instance—not every tier—and the provider’s product page lists conflicting network speeds. Compare the prepaid term and renewal price, then choose resources against your own workload.
What the MERN VPS includes
MERN refers to MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js. The provider describes the offer as a VPS with dedicated resources, full root access, scalable storage and the ability to adjust plans. Its audience includes developers, startups, teams, learners and agencies; those are provider positioning claims, not independent findings about performance. See the official MERN VPS offer.

Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallOutdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down
One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchHostAdvice reports that it selected the MERN stack in the VPS marketplace and that the stack installed automatically when the server was provisioned. The same reviewer noted a lack of dedicated MERN documentation. Those observations describe the reviewer’s setup experience, not a guarantee that every provisioning flow or documentation set will be the same.
Root access is useful if you want to configure Node.js, a web server, MongoDB, environment variables and process managers. It also means you are responsible for operating and securing the server; a preselected stack does not turn it into managed application hosting.

Plans and listed prices
The US-dollar product page lists the following monthly equivalents and 24-month renewal rates. The provider says plans are paid upfront and calculates the monthly equivalent by dividing the total plan price by the term length. These are page figures accessed October 7, 2026, not guaranteed checkout totals for every location or date. Check your region, billing term, taxes, eligible offer and renewal cost at checkout.
| Plan | vCPU | RAM | NVMe storage | Bandwidth shown | Listed monthly equivalent | 24-month renewal rate shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| KVM 1 | 1 | 4 GB | 50 GB | 4 TB | $6.49 | $11.99/month for 2 years |
| KVM 2 | 2 | 8 GB | 100 GB | 8 TB | $8.99 | $14.99/month for 2 years |
| KVM 4 | 4 | 16 GB | 200 GB | 16 TB | $12.99 | $28.99/month for 2 years |
| KVM 8 | 8 | 32 GB | 400 GB | 32 TB | $25.99 | $49.99/month for 2 years |
The promotional monthly equivalents require upfront payment for the selected term, and the listed renewal rates are higher. HostAdvice’s review shows different lower monthly figures in its own pricing table; do not treat those as the same checkout quote as the provider’s offer page.

What the KVM 4 tests do—and do not—show
HostAdvice reviewer Walter Akolo says he provisioned a MERN VPS and tested CPU, memory, disk, network and stress behavior. The review was updated August 26, 2026; it does not establish that testing occurred in September. The figures below are the reviewer’s reported results for KVM 4 only, not our tests, a product-wide comparison or a promise of application throughput. Read the HostAdvice review for its account of the testing.
CPU and memory
HostAdvice characterized CPU scaling across the four cores as near-linear and reported zero failures in its CPU stress run. Its reviewer observes that a light-traffic app using one Node process may not use all four cores, while clustering or separating workers can make extra cores more useful. That is a workload interpretation, not a universal sizing rule.
Rank #3
For memory, HostAdvice reported 6,060.82 MiB/sec sequential write and 7,117.04 MiB/sec sequential read. The tested instance had no swap configured. The reviewer’s view is that available memory capacity matters more to plan selection than memory speed; these test results do not establish how much RAM your own MongoDB working set and application need.
Storage
HostAdvice reported sequential disk write of 556 MiB/s and sequential read of 1,084 MiB/s. Its random 4K mixed read/write test produced roughly 9,800 IOPS in each direction, at about 38.3 MiB/s throughput per direction. The reviewer highlights random I/O as relevant to database workloads and notes that sequential write was lower than sequential read. These are results from that test instance and method, not guaranteed storage performance for every plan or workload.

Network
The provider’s feature list says 1 Gbps network speed, while separate product copy says “300 Mb/s infrastructure.” HostAdvice’s two reported runs on KVM 4 measured 983.28 Mbps download and 986.95 Mbps upload in the first, then 730.48 Mbps download and 973.67 Mbps upload in the second; it recorded zero packet loss in both. The results indicate gigabit-class throughput in those tests, but the varying download measurements do not establish a fixed customer guarantee. Check the live product wording and clarify the discrepancy if network capacity is material to your decision.
Stress tests
HostAdvice reports 180 seconds each of CPU, memory and disk stress testing, with zero failed workers in the reported runs. That shows the instance completed those test workloads. It is not long-term uptime evidence, a production MERN load test or a service-level guarantee.

There is no supported visitor-count estimate from these results. The review covers one KVM 4 instance and does not benchmark all four plans or establish universal traffic limits. Size against the work your app performs, and monitor it after deployment.
- Prototype or learning project: Start by estimating the memory MongoDB and Node processes need together, plus storage for data and logs. A smaller plan may suit a modest project, but the available tests do not prove that any tier will fit a particular application.
- Small, single-process app: Consider whether one Node process can use the available CPU resources. A larger core count does not automatically make a single process faster.
- Production app with workers: Account for concurrent Node work, background jobs, MongoDB’s working set and caches. Separate workers or clustering can use more CPU, but measure your own service rather than inferring capacity from the review.
- Multi-service deployment: Budget for the combined resource needs of each service, database, caches and operating system, along with storage growth and write activity.
Compare the full prepaid cost and renewal rate alongside vCPU, RAM, storage capacity and I/O, network conditions and latency to your users, backup and refund terms, and the amount of server administration you are prepared to handle. HostAdvice’s KVM 4 results can inform questions to ask, but they do not constitute a fair comparison with other providers or tiers.
Included features and terms to verify
The product page lists AMD EPYC processors, NVMe storage, data centers in multiple regions, weekly automatic backups, firewall management, a public API, an AI web terminal and a one-year domain offer. It also claims full root access, malware scanning, DDoS protection and a dedicated IP. Treat these as current page claims and confirm availability and conditions for your location and plan before buying.
The page advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. HostAdvice says VPS refunds are subject to a 180-day cooldown, upgrades are excluded, and there is no dedicated free trial. These descriptions may have exceptions or change; consult the applicable live refund policy and terms before relying on eligibility.
Who should consider it
This setup may fit developers who want a VPS with a preselected MERN stack and the flexibility of root access, and who are comfortable maintaining the environment themselves. It is a less natural fit for someone who expects the provider to manage the application, or who needs a reliable estimate of production capacity from published benchmarks alone. Before committing to a long prepaid term, confirm the actual checkout price and renewal, verify the network claims, and size the server against measured resource use.
