The Galaxy S24 FE is the better fit if you want a larger 6.7-inch display and a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera. Choose the Pixel 10a if you prefer a smaller 6.3-inch phone and Google’s dual-camera setup. Both companies promise seven years of software support, but their US price references come from different dates and channels, so they do not establish which phone costs less today.

How the displays and size differ
The S24 FE’s 6.7-inch screen gives it a larger viewing area than the Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch display. Samsung specifies a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with adaptive 60/120 Hz refresh; Google lists a 1080 × 2424 pOLED panel with a 60–120 Hz range. If you regularly watch video or want more screen space, the Samsung’s size is the clearest specification-based reason to choose it. If a smaller handset matters more, the Pixel is the more compact option.

Samsung lists three rear cameras, including an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilization. Google lists two rear cameras: a 48 MP wide camera with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide camera. Its specifications include Super Res Zoom up to 8x, but do not list a dedicated telephoto camera.

These are different approaches to zoom, not proof that one phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts and zoom labels alone cannot establish overall image quality. Pick the Samsung if a dedicated optical telephoto camera is important to your intended shots; pick the Pixel if its dual-camera arrangement better matches how you take pictures.
Processors and battery: what the specs can and cannot tell you
The S24 FE uses Samsung’s Exynos 2400e, while the Pixel 10a uses Google Tensor G4. Chip names do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, and no matched independent benchmark results are available here to support a performance winner.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Samsung lists a 4,700 mAh typical battery capacity and Google lists 5,100 mAh. Capacity by itself does not determine battery life; these figures do not show which phone lasts longer in comparable use. Google separately claims 30+ hours under its stated conditions, which should not be treated as a head-to-head endurance result.

Charging and what you need to buy separately
- Galaxy S24 FE: Samsung says the phone can reach up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes when used with a separately sold 25 W adapter and a 3 A USB-C cable. It also supports fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
- Pixel 10a: Google says it can reach up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a separately sold 45 W USB-C PPS charger or higher. It supports Qi-certified wireless charging.
The charging claims use different stated accessories and are not a direct speed test against each other. Account for the compatible charger cost if you do not already own the required accessory.

Seven-year support, with different definitions
Both phones come with a published seven-year support commitment, but the manufacturers describe what is included differently. Samsung promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, measured from the Galaxy S24 FE’s global launch. Google says the Pixel 10a receives seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Compare the commitments as stated rather than assuming the categories are identical.

Samsung announced a US launch starting price of $649.99 for the Galaxy S24 FE on September 26, 2024. Google’s US Store product page lists the Pixel 10a from $499 for its 2026 product listing. The arithmetic difference is $150, but it is a difference between a dated Samsung launch price and a Google Store starting-price reference—not today’s current price difference.

Check the live price in your region before deciding. Compare the same storage capacity, seller type, device condition, carrier-lock status, and sales channel; carrier promotions and availability can change the result. The cited price references are Samsung’s US announcement and the Google Store US Pixel 10a page.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S24 FE if you value the larger 6.7-inch screen or specifically want a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera.
- Choose the Pixel 10a if you prefer a 6.3-inch form factor and are comfortable with a dual-camera system that uses Super Res Zoom rather than a listed telephoto lens.
- Use current local pricing to break a tie. The available US reference prices are not a same-date, same-channel comparison, so they cannot settle which is the better value where you shop.
