Not automatically. The available prices do not establish a like-for-like $200 gap: TechRadar lists the iPhone 18 Pro at $1,199 for 256GB, while its OPPO review lists £1,099 or AU$2,299 for a 16GB/512GB Find X9 Pro and says it was not available through official US channels at review time. Those are different markets and storage configurations, so the price difference depends on where and how you buy. Choose the iPhone for Apple’s ecosystem and video-focused appeal; consider OPPO if its larger display, camera hardware, and charging priorities better fit you. Neither set of published specifications proves which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.
Is there really a $200 price difference?
The title’s $200 figure is a question, not a verified universal price gap. TechRadar’s September 2026 iPhone review lists a 256GB iPhone 18 Pro starting at $1,199 in the US, £1,199 in the UK, and AU$2,099 in Australia, with sales beginning September 18, 2026. Its December 2025 OPPO review lists a Find X9 Pro configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage at £1,099 or AU$2,299, and reports that the phone was unavailable through official US channels at the time of that review. The sources therefore do not compare the same storage tier, market, or date. TechRadar’s Find X9 Pro review and its iPhone 18 Pro review provide those separate listings.

For a meaningful local comparison, check the unlocked price for each phone in the same country, at the storage capacity you actually want, and on the same date. Treat a third-party or imported Find X9 Pro listing separately from official local stock: the cited review establishes only that official US availability was lacking at its review time, not what is available in every market today. Apple’s launch announcement also described US trade-in and carrier credits, but those promotions are conditional and can change; compare the final price only after checking current eligibility. Apple’s September 9, 2026 announcement is the source for those launch details.

Camera: OPPO has striking telephoto specifications, not a proven photo win
OPPO’s published Find X9 Pro setup pairs a 50MP main camera (1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.5 aperture, optical image stabilization) with a 200MP Hasselblad telephoto camera (1/1.56-inch sensor, f/2.1 aperture, optical image stabilization) and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view. OPPO also lists a True Color camera system using nine spectral channels and 48 zones. These are specifications, not a guarantee that a photo will look better. The 200MP telephoto is the standout hardware differentiator for buyers who value zoom, but megapixel counts alone do not settle detail, color, low-light, or motion performance. OPPO’s Find X9 Pro product page lists the camera details.
TechRadar describes the OPPO telephoto as offering 3x zoom and mentions a detachable 10x zoom lens accessory. That accessory is a distinct product, not an in-box capability established by the cited material; check current availability and exact compatibility before considering it. The available reviews are individual hands-on reviews, not matched tests of both phones using the same scenes and settings. For a camera purchase, compare recent samples from the exact models—especially the subjects and lighting you shoot—rather than treating resolution as an image-quality score.
Display, battery, and charging: know what is measured and what is claimed
The Gizmochina comparison describes the Find X9 Pro as having a 6.78-inch, 120Hz display and the iPhone 18 Pro as having a 6.3-inch, 120Hz display, and characterizes OPPO’s screen as larger and brighter. That points to a practical choice: more viewing area versus a smaller phone. The source material does not supply a controlled brightness measurement, so regard “brighter” as that comparison article’s assessment rather than a quantified guarantee.

The same comparison favors OPPO on battery capacity and charging hardware. Those are not the same thing as longer real-world battery life: runtime depends on the whole device and how it is used, and no directly comparable endurance test is established here. If charging speed or all-day use is decisive, consult current independent tests for both exact models under comparable conditions instead of inferring runtime from capacity or charging specifications.

Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro uses A20 Pro and a next-generation vapor chamber, which it says enables the highest sustained performance in iPhone history. It also announces iOS 27, Apple Intelligence, and Siri AI. These are Apple’s launch claims and feature descriptions, not independent benchmarks against the OPPO. The cited material does not provide a cross-platform benchmark or sustained-load comparison, so it cannot establish which phone is faster in a given demanding task.
For most buyers, the more useful software question is how the phone fits the devices and services they already use. An iPhone is the natural candidate if you rely on Apple’s ecosystem or specifically value its video-creator appeal, which the comparison article identifies as a reason to choose Apple. Find X9 Pro is the Android alternative. Feature availability can vary by region and software release; Apple’s review-period assessment is also time-sensitive: TechRadar said Siri AI was in beta and had mistakes and rough edges during its September 2026 review, not that every later build has the same limitations.

Availability and durability deserve a local check
Availability can change the value calculation as much as the sticker price. The cited TechRadar review reported that Find X9 Pro was not sold through official US channels at its review time. It does not establish current availability elsewhere or the terms of any reseller/import listing. Before buying outside an official channel, verify the seller, local network compatibility, warranty coverage, and return terms directly; the cited sources do not establish those details for any particular listing.
Apple’s technical specifications list iPhone 18 Pro as IP68 under IEC 60529, with a stated maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes. That is a laboratory classification, not a promise that all water exposure is harmless. The available evidence here does not establish an equivalent official Find X9 Pro rating under comparable conditions, so a direct durability ranking would be unwarranted. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro technical specifications give the rating and stated conditions.
Which one should you buy?
Choose iPhone 18 Pro if
- You already use Apple devices or services and want the continuity of that ecosystem.
- Apple’s video appeal and its announced iOS and Apple Intelligence features matter more to you than the OPPO hardware differences described here.
- You can buy it at a price and storage tier that make sense in your market.
Consider OPPO Find X9 Pro if
- You prefer Android and want the larger screen described in the comparison.
- You value the published 200MP telephoto configuration and want to assess its zoom results using samples from your own kinds of scenes.
- Its local price, availability, and seller terms are favorable after comparing the same storage tier.
Neither choice is justified by a universal $200 premium on the evidence available. Compare local, same-date prices and decide which differences you will actually use; published specifications and separate reviews do not amount to a controlled winner across camera quality, battery life, or performance.
