The iPhone 16 is the smaller, lighter option with Apple’s iOS platform; the vivo X200 gives you a larger 120Hz display, a higher listed battery capacity and Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. Their official specifications make the key trade-offs clear, but they do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use. Nor do they support one current price-gap figure: prices depend on country, storage configuration, seller and date.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from side-by-side testing. The display figures describe size, resolution and refresh rate; they do not establish which screen looks better or is brighter. Apple and vivo also report battery performance in different ways, so their numbers do not provide a direct real-world endurance comparison. Apple’s iPhone 16 technical specifications and vivo’s global X200 specifications are the references for the models described here.

How the displays, size and weight differ
The X200 has the larger screen: 6.67 inches versus 6.1 inches on the iPhone 16. Its listed 120Hz refresh rate is a specification distinction; it is not, by itself, evidence that the entire display is superior. The iPhone’s published resolution and pixel density are 2556 × 1179 and 460 ppi, while vivo lists 2800 × 1260 for the X200.

Both are close in thickness, at 7.80mm and 7.99mm respectively. If pocket comfort and one-handed handling matter most, the iPhone’s smaller dimensions and lower weight are the clearest practical distinction; if screen area matters more, the X200 is the larger device.

Processor and software: iOS or Android
Apple specifies its A18 chip with a six-core CPU, five-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. vivo lists the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 for the X200, with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15 on the cited global page. These component and platform details identify what each phone runs; without comparable independent testing, they do not establish a performance winner.
Choose based on the operating system and compatibility you want. Consider the apps, services and devices you already use, as well as whether the exact phone variant sold in your country supports your carrier and comes with a suitable local warranty.

Camera specifications do not settle camera quality
Apple lists a 48MP main camera that enables a 12MP 2x telephoto option, alongside a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The available X200 information does not provide a complete, directly comparable camera specification set. That is not enough evidence to declare either phone the better camera choice: megapixel counts and partial hardware details cannot substitute for comparable tests of photos and video.

Battery and charging: why the headline numbers are not comparable
For the specified overseas X200 markets other than Austria, vivo lists a typical battery capacity of 5800mAh and charging up to 90W. Apple instead publishes playback estimates for iPhone 16—up to 22 hours of video playback or up to 18 hours of streamed video playback—and says fast charging can reach 50% in around 30 minutes under specified adapter conditions. Capacity, playback estimates and charging claims measure different things; they do not show how long either phone will last for your mix of apps, network conditions, screen settings and use.

Water-resistance ratings need their test context
Apple specifies IP68 and states that iPhone 16 was tested at a maximum depth of 6m for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the X200. Those labels should not be collapsed into a simple durability ranking: the ratings and their conditions are not interchangeable, and the relevant documentation can vary by region. Water resistance is not a promise that damage from liquid is impossible.

There is no defensible single current price difference without choosing a market, matching storage as closely as possible, and checking prices from comparable sellers on the same date. Apple’s cited support specification lists iPhone 16 capacities but does not establish current retail prices. vivo’s China product page gives suggested retail prices for China launch configurations, not a current global or local selling price.

To calculate a meaningful local difference, compare the same storage tier where available, and record the country, seller, date and whether each figure is a launch or suggested price or a current street price. The configurations and availability may differ by region. vivo China’s X200 product page lists those launch prices.

Which phone fits your priorities?
- Favor the iPhone 16 if you want the smaller 6.1-inch screen, lower listed weight, Apple’s iOS platform or its stated camera setup.
- Favor the vivo X200 if you prefer a larger 6.67-inch 120Hz display, Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, or the specified model’s higher listed typical battery capacity and charging rate.
- Compare local prices before deciding if cost is decisive. Match storage as closely as possible and check the actual regional variant rather than comparing a China launch price with a current price elsewhere.
- Verify the exact regional model before buying, especially if purchasing an import: check cellular bands, software, warranty coverage and seller details.
- Use independent comparisons for performance, photos and everyday battery life. The manufacturer figures above do not establish a winner for those real-world outcomes.
