The iPhone 13 is the smaller iOS option with Apple’s camera and video features; the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G has a larger 144Hz display, a higher stated battery capacity and faster wired charging. In a Gadgets Now India listing snapshot, the iPhone 13 was ₹54,999 and the POVA 8 Pro ₹46,999—a difference of ₹8,000, not a guaranteed current price.
How the iPhone 13 and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G compare
The iPhone 13 was introduced in 2021. TECNO’s newer POVA 8 Pro 5G runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. They belong to different software ecosystems, so the better choice depends partly on whether you prefer iOS or Android, not just on the component list.

Specifications are from Apple’s iPhone 13 technical specifications and TECNO’s POVA 8 Pro 5G product page. The manufacturers describe features, not comparable independent tests: processor names do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, and camera megapixels do not determine which produces better photos.
Which phone suits your priorities?
Choose the iPhone 13 if you want Apple’s smaller-screen model
Its 6.1-inch display is substantially smaller on paper than TECNO’s 6.78-inch panel. Apple also specifies Dolby Vision video recording up to 4K at 60 frames per second, plus an ultra-wide rear camera. Those are concrete differences for someone who values Apple’s platform, a more compact display size or those stated video capabilities.

Consider the POVA 8 Pro 5G if screen size and refresh rate matter most
TECNO lists a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. That gives it the larger, higher-refresh-rate screen on paper, but the specification alone does not establish how smooth every app or game will feel. Its listed 6500mAh battery and 45W charging are also higher-capacity and faster-wired-charging specifications than Apple’s listed charging details; they do not prove longer real-world battery life.
Compare camera features, not megapixel totals
The POVA 8 Pro 5G lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. The iPhone 13 has two 12MP rear cameras and explicitly lists 4K Dolby Vision capture up to 60 fps. These specifications describe hardware and supported features, not a controlled head-to-head image-quality result.

Understand the RAM and storage variants
Both phones are listed with 256GB and 512GB storage options. Apple also offers a 128GB iPhone 13 configuration. TECNO’s product details distinguish physical RAM from extended memory; for example, a configuration described as “12GB + 12GB extended” does not mean the phone has 24GB of physical RAM. Check the exact local variant before buying.

Gadgets Now’s comparison page reported India offer prices of ₹54,999 for an iPhone 13 listing and ₹46,999 for the TECNO POVA 8 Pro, putting the iPhone listing ₹8,000 higher in that snapshot. These are reported listing prices, not verified live offers, and they should not be applied to other countries. The same site shows an alternate iPhone 13 comparison listing at a different amount, so configuration and listing affect the comparison.

Check the seller’s current price, stock, storage configuration, warranty and—especially for an older model—the condition of the individual iPhone unit. The comparison page does not establish seller authorization or warranty terms. See the Gadgets Now comparison listing and its alternate iPhone 13 comparison listing for the cited price snapshots.
Check charging, network support and warranty before buying
- iPhone charging: Apple’s stated fast-charge result—up to 50% in 30 minutes—requires a 20W-or-higher adapter, sold separately. The phone uses Lightning and supports MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W.
- POVA regional variant: TECNO product pages may vary by region. Confirm the exact storage and physical-RAM configuration, local 5G bands and warranty for the model being sold.
- Price and condition: Confirm the current seller price and whether the iPhone is new, refurbished or otherwise used; no particular unit’s condition is established by the comparison listing.
Verdict: choose by ecosystem and form factor
The iPhone 13 is the more natural fit for someone seeking iOS, a smaller OLED display and Apple’s specified Dolby Vision video features. The POVA 8 Pro 5G is the larger-screen choice, with 144Hz refresh rate, USB-C, 45W charging and a 6500mAh stated battery. The ₹8,000 India price gap is only what one comparison snapshot reported; check current local listings and the exact variant before treating price as a deciding factor.
