Wizards of the Coast says the Star Trek debut on October 20, 2026, will stream on both services and be followed by the WeeklyMTG aftershow. If you miss the broadcast, use the replay or video-on-demand recording, then follow the set’s official card image gallery and DailyMTG schedule to collect every reveal.
Where to watch the next MTG set reveal
Magic set announcements normally begin with an official debut event. The two primary live destinations are:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Official Magic: The Gathering YouTube channel: This is the main video destination for debut premieres and their replays.
- twitch.tv/magic: This carries the live debut and is also the destination for the WeeklyMTG aftershow when one is scheduled.
Open the event listing on the relevant YouTube or Twitch page for the start time. Wizards publishes dates for individual events, but the official pages do not establish one universal time-zone rule for every future set. Treat the time shown in the event listing as authoritative for your location rather than assuming that every debut starts at the same hour.

| Milestone | Date or destination | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Set debut | October 20, 2026 | Official YouTube and Twitch broadcast, followed by WeeklyMTG. |
| Complete card image gallery | October 30, 2026 | The gallery is scheduled to contain the full revealed card list. |
| Tabletop release | November 13, 2026 | The set becomes available at release; Wizards names local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers for preorders. |
The October 20 debut date and November 13 release date are specific to this published schedule. A later announcement can revise dates, so check the current DailyMTG announcement before planning a watch party or purchase.
What happens during a Magic set announcement
A debut is more than a single card reveal. Wizards generally uses the opening stream to introduce the set’s premise, important characters, mechanics and special Booster Fun treatments, while showing a selection of cards. The broadcast establishes the context that scattered preview posts often lack.
The WeeklyMTG aftershow
For the Star Trek event, Wizards says the debut will be followed by WeeklyMTG. The aftershow is useful if you want discussion immediately after the first presentation rather than treating the debut as the end of the event. Keep the Twitch or YouTube page open until the scheduled programming has finished, because the aftershow may be listed as a separate video or stream.

Debut versus preview season
The debut is the starting point, not the complete spoiler. After it, Wizards assigns additional previews to partner creators, publications, regional Magic accounts and stores. The Star Trek schedule names outlets including IGN, PC Gamer, Polygon, DailyMTG, Wizards’ regional accounts and creator channels. Secrets of Strixhaven used a similar day-by-day arrangement. A card appearing on a partner’s scheduled day is still part of the official preview calendar, even when it is not shown on the opening stream.
How to catch every spoiler after the live stream
Use the following workflow if you want a complete and orderly record rather than a feed of disconnected social posts.
- Bookmark both official live destinations. Follow the official Magic YouTube channel and twitch.tv/magic, and enable reminders for the set’s event listing.
- Watch the debut live when practical. Live viewing gives you the reveal order, explanations and chat-based interaction. If the start time is inconvenient, do not rely on memory or short clips; use the full replay.
- Open the set-specific card image gallery every weekday. Wizards says these galleries are updated on weekday mornings with cards previewed on previous days. The current day’s cards are not included in that morning update.
- Read the DailyMTG announcement page. It gathers the partner schedule and links to mechanics articles, stories, podcasts, videos and gallery pages.
- Follow the scheduled partner previews. During a preview day, the named publication or creator may publish first. Their posts are useful for speed and commentary, while the gallery is better for maintaining a complete list.
- Use the final gallery as your checklist. After the preview run, verify cards against the completed official gallery rather than assuming that a social-media thread contains everything.
How the official card image gallery works
The gallery is the cleanest catch-up tool because it consolidates cards that originally appeared across many outlets. It is not a real-time ticker: the weekday morning update contains previews from previous days, and the card shown during the current day may not appear until the next weekday update.
Published completion dates
For the examples documented by Wizards, the Star Trek gallery is scheduled to be complete on October 30, 2026. The Secrets of Strixhaven guide listed April 10, 2026 as its completion date. These dates illustrate how to use a set guide, not a permanent rule for every release. Always use the date in the current set’s announcement.
Gallery versus social feeds
| Route | Best for | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Official debut stream | First presentation, mechanics, characters and set themes. | Shows only the cards and information selected for the event. |
| Partner creator or publication | Fast access to a scheduled day’s card and added commentary. | Previews are distributed across many sites and may be difficult to track. |
| Official card image gallery | Checking the complete card list in one place. | Usually lags the current day’s preview until the next weekday update. |
| DailyMTG articles, podcasts and stories | Rules, mechanics, narrative and behind-the-card context. | Individual articles do not replace the complete gallery. |
Where the 2026 preview schedule fits
Wizards’ 2026 lineup announcement names these releases: Lorwyn Eclipsed in January, Secrets of Strixhaven in April, Marvel Super Heroes in June, The Hobbit in August, Reality Fracture in October and Star Trek in November. That lineup provides broad seasonal context, but it is not a substitute for a set-specific preview calendar. DailyMTG announcements contain the exact reveal dates and can change as production or programming plans change.

The October 20 Star Trek debut may therefore sit before the November 13 tabletop release while previews continue through the October 30 gallery completion date. The gap is intentional: a debut starts public attention, the preview run fills in the card file, and the release date marks tabletop availability.
Choosing the best viewing route
Your ideal route depends on whether you value immediacy, completeness or explanation.
If you want live interaction
Choose the YouTube premiere or Twitch stream. Both let you watch the debut as it happens, and Twitch is the named home for the WeeklyMTG aftershow. Live chat can make a major reveal feel communal, but it also moves quickly; save the replay if you need to inspect a card or rules explanation.
If you need convenience
Use the YouTube replay or the Twitch video-on-demand recording. The Edge of Eternities guide provides a recent comparable example in which an on-demand video was available after the debut stream. Availability and placement can vary, so look on the same official channel rather than searching only for short unofficial clips.
If you want the complete spoiler
Start with the official card image gallery and wait for its stated completion date. Use DailyMTG’s schedule to identify cards that appeared during the day, then confirm them in the final gallery. This avoids mistaking a partial list for the full set.
If you want rules and story context
Read the DailyMTG mechanics articles and stories connected to the set, and look for the Magic Story Podcast when it is listed. These sources explain how a mechanic works or why a character matters; the gallery remains the authoritative visual index for the cards themselves.
What to do if you miss the reveal
- Find the official replay. Check the Magic YouTube channel and Twitch for the completed debut video. Search for the full event, not only individual clips.
- Watch the aftershow if it is separate. WeeklyMTG may be listed as its own video after the debut.
- Open the set guide and DailyMTG announcement. Identify the preview dates already passed and the outlets assigned to upcoming days.
- Check the gallery on the next weekday morning. It should include prior-day cards, while the current day’s reveal may have to wait for the following update.
- Repeat until the completion date. On the published Star Trek schedule, October 30 is the point at which the complete gallery is expected.
Common timing and access problems
“What time is the stream?”
Use the start time displayed in the specific YouTube or Twitch event listing. The published material supplies dates, but it does not define one universal time zone for all future debuts. Convert that listing to your local time and allow a few minutes for the page to load before the broadcast.
“The gallery does not show today’s card.”
That is expected under Wizards’ stated update pattern. The gallery is refreshed on weekday mornings with previous-day previews, so a card revealed later today may not appear until the next morning. Use the partner schedule or the publisher’s post for same-day confirmation.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

“I found a spoiler list, but it looks incomplete.”
Do not treat a social thread or a single creator’s post as the complete set. Compare it with the official gallery and wait for the guide’s completion date. Preview cards are intentionally spread among multiple outlets.
“I cannot find the aftershow.”
Look for a separate WeeklyMTG listing on the same Twitch or YouTube destination after the debut. The aftershow can be scheduled as follow-on programming rather than embedded in the original video.
“The date I saved no longer matches the announcement.”
Use the newest DailyMTG or set-specific Wizards announcement. The 2026 lineup announcement is a planning overview, while individual guides carry the operational dates and may be revised.

For a practical example, mark October 20, 2026 for the live debut on the official YouTube channel and Twitch. Stay for WeeklyMTG, then use the replay if you need a slower second viewing. During the following preview period, check the DailyMTG schedule for partner posts and open the card image gallery each weekday morning. On October 30, verify the completed gallery. If you plan to buy sealed product, Wizards’ guide identifies local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers as preorder destinations; check your region, inventory and the retailer’s current price because those details are not fixed by the announcement. The tabletop release is November 13, 2026.
A simple spoiler-tracking checklist
- Official YouTube channel followed and event reminders enabled.
- twitch.tv/magic bookmarked for the live stream and WeeklyMTG.
- Debut date and event-listing start time converted to your local time.
- Full replay or video-on-demand recording saved if live viewing is impossible.
- Set-specific DailyMTG announcement opened for mechanics, stories, videos and the partner schedule.
- Card image gallery checked on weekday mornings.
- Current-day previews cross-checked against the next gallery update.
- Final gallery consulted on the published completion date.
- Release date checked separately from the debut date before placing an order.
Build a two-track viewing plan
The most dependable approach separates speed from completeness. Use the event listing, YouTube premiere or Twitch stream for the first announcement and immediate conversation. At the same time, treat DailyMTG and the card image gallery as your record-keeping tools. This prevents a common mistake: assuming that the fastest post is also the final word on the set.
On each preview day, start with the outlet named in Wizards’ schedule if you want to see a card as soon as it is published. Then return to the gallery on the next weekday morning. Record the card’s name, collector information and any mechanics explanation in your own notes only after checking the official image. By the completion date, the gallery gives you a single place to audit what appeared on the debut, what was assigned to partners and what arrived through regional or creator channels.
What each official destination contributes
| Destination | Use it when | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube premiere | You want the debut and an easy replay. | Video presentation, reveal order and an archive of the event. |
| Twitch | You want live chat or the WeeklyMTG follow-up. | The live debut and, when scheduled, aftershow programming. |
| DailyMTG | You need dates, explanations or links. | Announcements, partner schedules, mechanics articles, stories, podcasts, videos and gallery links. |
| Card image gallery | You need an exhaustive visual checklist. | Prior-day cards on weekday mornings, followed by a completed gallery on the published date. |
None of these routes has to replace the others. The stream supplies presentation, partner posts supply speed, DailyMTG supplies navigation and the gallery supplies completeness. Using all four is faster than trying to reconstruct a season from unrelated social posts after it has ended.

Planning purchases after the reveal
Preview viewing and buying are separate decisions. The Star Trek guide names local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers as preorder destinations. That identifies where Wizards expects readers to look, not a guaranteed price, stock level or delivery date. Check the retailer listing for your region immediately before ordering, and compare the product type you actually want: sealed product for opening or collecting, or individual cards after the gallery makes the list clear.

Do not confuse the October 20 debut with tabletop availability. The published Star Trek release is November 13, 2026, and the complete gallery is scheduled for October 30. Waiting for the final gallery can help you distinguish a card that appeared in a preview from the products and singles that are actually available at release.

Where are new MTG cards officially spoiled?
Initial cards appear during the official debut, followed by scheduled reveals on partner creator, publication, regional-account and store channels. The official card image gallery is the best single place to verify the complete list.
Is the MTG preview on YouTube or Twitch?
Official debuts can be on both. Wizards’ Star Trek announcement specifically names the official Magic YouTube channel and twitch.tv/magic, with WeeklyMTG afterward.
Can I watch a Magic reveal after it ends?
Usually, look for the replay or video-on-demand recording on the same official channel. The Edge of Eternities guide documented an on-demand video after its debut.
When is the full spoiler available?
There is no single date for every set. Use the completion date in the relevant Wizards guide; Star Trek’s published date is October 30, 2026, while Secrets of Strixhaven’s was April 10, 2026.
What is DailyMTG useful for?
DailyMTG is the official hub for announcements, preview schedules, mechanics articles, stories, podcasts, videos and links to card galleries.
Does the gallery update in real time?
No. Wizards says the weekday morning update contains cards previewed on previous days. A card revealed later that day may not appear until the next morning.
