Critical Role’s weekly release schedule
Critical Role’s official FAQ lists a standard live slot of Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific. The broadcast is simultaneous on Beacon, Twitch, and YouTube, so the choice of service is mainly about account features, chat, and when you want the recording afterward.

These times are Pacific Time. Your local date can differ, especially for viewers far ahead of the Pacific coast, so convert the Thursday, Friday, Monday, and podcast times before setting a reminder. The schedule is a release pattern rather than a guarantee that every special, break, or one-off event will use the same day.

Choose the right way to watch
Watch with the live community
Open Twitch or YouTube at 7 p.m. Pacific on Thursday if live chat and simultaneous viewing matter most. Both services carry the same scheduled broadcast, so you can choose the interface you already use. Beacon also carries the live show, but its main advantage is the member on-demand release after the broadcast.
Get the earliest on-demand video
Beacon members receive the episode VOD at 7 p.m. Pacific on release day, immediately after the live slot. This is the earliest official full-episode video route identified in the release guide. No current official Beacon price was published, so check the current membership page before subscribing and confirm that the plan is available in your territory.
Watch for free after the broadcast
The official YouTube channel schedules its public VOD for Monday at noon Pacific. This is the straightforward free catch-up route when you do not need a same-night recording. YouTube members can access the VOD immediately after the stream, but ordinary public access remains scheduled for Monday.
Use the next-morning Twitch rebroadcast
Critical Role’s Twitch channel rebroadcasts the show at 9 a.m. Pacific on Friday. It is useful when Thursday night is unavailable but Monday feels too late. Treat it as a scheduled linear viewing window: if you join after it has started, you may need to wait for another replay or use a VOD route.

How to watch the live broadcast
- Confirm the Pacific-time start. Mark Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific on your calendar. Convert it to your local zone rather than relying on a date copied from another viewer.
- Pick a platform. Use Twitch or YouTube for the familiar live-chat experience, or Beacon if you already have membership access.
- Open the official channel before the start. Go to the Critical Role Twitch channel, the Critical Role YouTube channel, or Beacon and look for the scheduled live event. Opening early gives the app time to update and lets you verify that you are on the official account.
- Check playback and audio. Start the player several minutes early, confirm that dialogue is audible, and select the quality your connection can sustain. A stable lower resolution is preferable to repeated buffering during a live scene.
- Use chat deliberately. Live chat is simultaneous but can reveal reactions or spoilers. Hide or minimize it if you are watching an episode later than the live audience or want an unspoiled first viewing.
- Save the correct follow-up. If you leave before the end, note whether you will return for Friday’s 9 a.m. Pacific rebroadcast, use a member VOD, or wait for Monday’s public YouTube release.
Catch up after missing a show
Friday morning: the Twitch rebroadcast
The first scheduled replay is Friday at 9 a.m. Pacific on Twitch. This is the best fit for viewers who can watch the next morning and prefer a communal, scheduled experience. It is not the same as an immediately available public archive; the event starts at the listed time.
Same-day: Beacon member VOD
Beacon’s release guide says members receive the VOD at 7 p.m. Pacific on the original release day. That makes it the earliest full-episode on-demand choice in the published schedule. If the VOD is not visible at the expected time, refresh the membership session, verify that you are signed into the account with the membership, and check the episode’s release listing rather than an old bookmark.
Monday: public YouTube VOD
For a free archive, use the official YouTube channel’s public upload at Monday noon Pacific. Search within the channel or its campaign playlist instead of relying on general search results, which can surface clips, reactions, or unofficial uploads before the complete episode. If the video is not public at noon, check the channel’s scheduled item and confirm your time-zone conversion; the published time is Pacific.

Campaign Four has an additional distinction between member and ad-supported audio. Beacon members receive the full podcast at 7 p.m. Pacific on release day, alongside the member VOD. The ad-supported podcast is divided into two parts: part one arrives one week after the premiere, and part two arrives the following Tuesday at 5 a.m. Pacific.

Because the ad-supported edition is split, a podcast app may show two entries for one episode. Check the episode title and part number before starting; listening to part one alone will not cover the entire session. If you need the whole story immediately, use the member podcast or a video route instead.
Example: Campaign Four Episode 37
The published schedule for Episode 37 illustrates the pattern. Its broadcast was set for Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7 p.m. Pacific on Twitch and YouTube. Beacon’s VOD and podcast were scheduled for that same evening. The Twitch rebroadcast was Friday, October 2, at 9 a.m. Pacific; the public YouTube VOD was Monday, October 5, at noon Pacific; and the ad-supported podcast parts were scheduled for Thursday, October 8, and Tuesday, October 13, at 5 a.m. Pacific.
Use this example as a model for the order of releases, not as a promise that another episode has identical calendar dates. The weekly slot determines the live day, while the podcast dates move with the episode’s premiere.

Use the official podcast feeds when you want to follow the campaign while commuting, exercising, or doing other screen-free work. Audio preserves the spoken narrative but removes visual information such as character performances, maps, handouts, and on-screen rolls. If a scene depends on something shown on video, you may want to switch back to the VOD for that section.

Choosing between member and ad-supported audio
- Need the complete episode on release night: Beacon members receive the full podcast at 7 p.m. Pacific.
- Prefer a free, ad-supported feed: wait for part one one week after the premiere and part two the following Tuesday at 5 a.m. Pacific.
- Want to avoid losing your place: finish part one before starting part two, and keep the episode number in your podcast app’s queue.
- Need visual context: bookmark the corresponding video episode and return to it when audio references something you cannot identify by sound alone.
Starting older campaigns
Older episodes are split between legacy and current channels. Critical Role’s FAQ identifies complete Campaign One episodes and Campaign Two episodes 1–19 on the Geek & Sundry legacy channels, with newer episodes on Critical Role’s own channels and campaign playlists.
A reliable starting workflow
- Choose the campaign and its first episode rather than starting from the newest upload.
- Open the official campaign playlist when one is available; playlists keep episodes in narrative order better than a general channel search.
- For Campaign One and the first 19 episodes of Campaign Two, look for the identified Geek & Sundry legacy uploads.
- For later Campaign Two episodes and newer campaigns, use Critical Role’s current channel and playlists.
- Confirm the episode number in the title before pressing play. Clips, highlights, one-shots, and compilations can appear beside full sessions.
Campaigns are long-form stories, so a playlist is safer than jumping between search results. If you are returning after a break, note the last completed episode and resume from the next numbered full episode rather than a short clip.
Time-zone planning and reminders
All published times in this schedule are Pacific Time. A calendar reminder that says “Thursday night” is not enough for viewers outside that zone: the local date can become Friday, and the Monday public VOD can appear on a different local day.

- Write the Pacific time in the reminder title, for example “Critical Role — Thursday 7 p.m. PT,” so a device or calendar conversion does not hide the reference zone.
- For a live watch party, allow a few minutes before the listed start for sign-in, updates, and playback checks.
- If you are traveling, recalculate the times for your current location rather than relying on a reminder created at home.
Troubleshooting missing or delayed episodes
The live stream is not visible
Verify the date and Pacific-time conversion first. Then open the official channel directly instead of a saved third-party link, refresh the page or app, and check whether the event is listed as scheduled rather than live. A special event or break can alter the ordinary Thursday pattern, so use the latest official schedule when one is posted.
The Twitch rebroadcast has already started
A rebroadcast is a timed stream, not an instant replay button. If you join late, you may be behind the beginning. Check whether the channel has made a VOD available to your account; otherwise, use the Monday public YouTube release or the earlier Beacon member VOD.
The YouTube VOD is unavailable Monday
Confirm that it is Monday noon Pacific in your location and that you are looking at the official channel’s full-video upload. YouTube can display a scheduled video before it becomes public. If the listing still does not appear, check the campaign playlist and the channel’s newest uploads for a rescheduled release.
The podcast shows only half an episode
That is expected for the ad-supported Campaign Four edition. Locate the second part, which is scheduled for the following Tuesday at 5 a.m. Pacific. The member podcast is released as a complete episode on release day.
Playback quality or sound is poor
Pause briefly to let the stream buffer, lower video quality, and close other high-bandwidth activity. If video remains unstable, switch to the podcast for the session and return to the VOD later. Audio-only listening cannot restore visual details, so keep the episode title handy for a later video revisit.
A simple catch-up plan
- For the newest episode tonight: watch live Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific on Twitch, YouTube, or Beacon.
- For tomorrow morning: join the Twitch rebroadcast Friday at 9 a.m. Pacific.
- For the earliest full recording: use the Beacon member VOD at 7 p.m. Pacific on release day.
- For free video: wait for the official YouTube VOD Monday at noon Pacific.
- For audio: use the Beacon full podcast on release day, or schedule both parts of the ad-supported Campaign Four feed.
- For an older campaign: follow the numbered campaign playlist, using Geek & Sundry’s identified legacy episodes where applicable and Critical Role’s current channels for newer material.
That sequence lets you choose based on the trade-off that matters—speed, cost, chat, or screen-free listening—without confusing a rebroadcast, a member release, and the later public archive.
