Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Check the running product version against the fixed-version entry in the specific Atlassian security advisory for the vulnerability and product you patched. Atlassian identifies that comparison as its verification method; a version match confirms the reported version meets the advisory’s listed threshold, but does not by itself prove every cluster node completed rollout or establish that a potentially compromised system is clean.
Verify the patch against the exact advisory
- Identify the vulnerability and product. Find the relevant CVE or bulletin item in Atlassian Security Advisories. The fixed version depends on the vulnerability and product, so a general statement that you installed “the latest patch” is not enough.
- Find the product and release branch in the fixed-version list. Use the row for the exact Atlassian Data Center product and branch. Do not apply a threshold listed for a different product or vulnerability; Atlassian’s historical advisory for CVE-2022-26136 and CVE-2022-26137, for example, gives distinct thresholds across products. Those figures are historical, not current patch guidance. See the historical advisory.
- Check the version reported by the running instance. Compare it with the threshold for that product and branch. Atlassian Support describes this as the way to verify a successful update for the CVEs covered by its FAQ: FAQ for CVE-2022-26136 and CVE-2022-26137.
- Confirm the guidance is current. Fixed-version guidance is tied to its publication date. Atlassian’s July 15, 2025 security bulletin says its table reflects information current as of publication and directs readers to linked release notes for the most up-to-date versions. Check the current advisory and its release-note links before deciding a version is sufficient: Atlassian Security Advisories.
Assess whether the candidate release is sufficient
When more than one release is available, compare each candidate against four points: the exact product and branch in the advisory, whether its version meets the fixed threshold, whether that release remains supported, and whether a later advisory or linked release notes name a newer recommended release. Version numbering is product-specific; do not compare one Atlassian product’s numbers with another’s.
Support status matters because unsupported feature versions may need an upgrade to a supported or LTS release. Check the current advisory and Atlassian’s Data Center bug-fix policy to understand which supported releases receive critical fixes. The policy and advisory can change, so use their current versions when planning an upgrade.
Keep a record and check rollout separately
Record the CVE or advisory, product, version reported by the running instance, fixed-version row consulted, date checked, and deployment record. Atlassian’s Data Center security checklist advises documenting security measures and monitoring that they remain in place, including after an upgrade or migration.

- Passwordless Login with Fingerprint Security: imKey Pass S6 is a FIDO2-certified hardware security key designed for passwordless authentication. Simply plug in the device and verify with your fingerprint to securely sign in to supported services. This physical passkey protects your accounts from phishing, password leaks, and unauthorized access.
- Strong Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Protection: Supports FIDO2 and FIDO U2F protocols, allowing you to enable strong hardware-based 2FA on popular platforms including Google, GitHub, Amazon, X and Binance. Replace SMS codes or authenticator apps with a safer hardware login method.
- Fingerprint + PIN Dual Protection: Built-in fingerprint sensor provides fast local identity verification, while an optional PIN adds an additional layer of protection. Even if the device is lost, unauthorized users cannot access your accounts without biometric verification.
- Universal Compatibility with Modern Systems: Works with Windows, macOS, and major browsers including Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox that support WebAuthn and Passkey authentication standards. A single key can secure multiple online accounts and services.
- Compact, Durable & Easy to use: Designed as a portable USB-C security key that easily attaches to your keychain. No battery, no charging, and no software installation required. Just plug in and authenticate with a fingerprint.
A version match establishes the version comparison Atlassian documents. It does not, on its own, show that every node in a Data Center cluster is running that version. Use your organization’s deployment controls and records to confirm rollout across the cluster; the cited version-check guidance is not a node-by-node validation procedure.
Use Instance Health as supplementary visibility
For Jira and Confluence Data Center, Atlassian describes Instance Health as a way to surface CVE exposure and security misconfigurations. It also documents a manual support.zip upload for environments without a cloud connection. This can add useful visibility, but it does not replace checking the exact advisory’s fixed-version requirement. See Atlassian’s Data Center security guidance.

- FIDO2 & Passkey Ready: Business-ready and FIDO2 L1 certified. This key is supported by major management suites and is ideal for both individual and enterprise deployment. Works seamlessly with Gmail, Facebook, GitHub, Dropbox, Coinbase, and more.
- Universal Connectivity (USB-A ): Features a built-in USB-A connector—simply unfold the key and plug it into your compatible PC or laptop for seamless authentication on the go.
- Dedicated Manager App: Use the Thetis Manager App for the initial hardware PIN setup. Setting the PIN on the device first ensures a smooth registration process. Once the PIN is configured, you can begin registering the key across your favorite FIDO2-compatible online services.
- Ultra-Durable & Portable: Featuring a rotating metal cover, this key is water, crush, and tamper-resistant. It fits easily on a keychain and requires no batteries or network connectivity.
- Check FIDO2 compatibility before purchase - Known limitations: ID Austria is not supported (requires FIDO2 Level 2). Windows Hello login only works with Windows Enterprise editions that support Entra ID, and NFC is NOT supported.
If the version does not meet the advisory threshold
- Recheck the exact product, branch, and advisory; a threshold from another product or CVE is not applicable.
- Consult the current advisory and linked release notes for the fixed version and any newer guidance.
- If the branch is unsupported, use Atlassian’s lifecycle policy to identify a supported or LTS upgrade path, then verify the resulting running version against the advisory.
If compromise is possible
Patch-version verification is not a forensic clean bill of health. If an incident may have occurred, follow your organization’s incident-response process and preserve relevant evidence; do not treat a matching version as proof that a host has not been compromised or is now clean. Atlassian’s security checklist includes incident-management preparation and security audit guidance.
