For the documented white-hot thermal vision in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, use the Pathfinder class’s passive ability, Scout Vision. Ubisoft describes Scout Vision as allowing white-hot thermal vision. The available official documentation confirms the ability, but not the current button or key to activate it.

Pathfinder’s Scout Vision
Scout Vision is a passive skill associated with the Pathfinder class. Ubisoft’s September 10, 2020 announcement describes it as an ability that “allows for white-hot thermal vision.” Ubisoft’s Episode 3 announcement lists it alongside Tactical Cache Identification and Wild Metabolism. Xbox Wire also characterized Scout Vision as “a new kind of thermal vision” in its September 17, 2020 report.

The cited descriptions identify an in-game class ability; they do not say that a physical thermal device is required. Nor do they establish that a cosmetic night-vision-goggle item unlocks thermal vision. Treat appearance items and Scout Vision as separate unless the game’s current in-game descriptions say otherwise.
How to access Pathfinder
What the 2020 launch information says
Pathfinder arrived with Episode 3: Red Patriot in 2020. At launch, Year 1 Pass owners received one-week early access beginning September 15; Xbox Wire said Pathfinder would be free for all players to unlock after that period. This is historical launch information, not evidence that a Year 1 Pass is required now.

Check the current game menus
The official pages cited here do not give a current menu path, skill-point cost, or exact sequence for selecting Pathfinder and accessing Scout Vision. Use the class and skill menus shown in your current game version to confirm availability and selection rather than relying on an unverified button-by-button walkthrough.

The cited official sources do not specify the activation key or button for PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. Open the game’s current control settings and check the bindings associated with class abilities or Scout Vision. If you have remapped controls, use the binding displayed in your own settings; do not assume a control listed for another platform or configuration applies to you.
