To raise a weapon’s power in Minecraft Dungeons II, take equipment you already own to the Blacksmith. To apply or improve enchantments, use the Enchantsmith and effects in your personal enchantment library. These are separate services, so upgrading a weapon’s power is not the same as changing its enchantments.
Upgrade a weapon’s power at the Blacksmith
- Keep the weapon you want to continue using.
- Visit the Blacksmith and follow the in-game prompts to raise its power. The Blacksmith can bring owned equipment up to the highest power level currently available to you, for a fee. The official descriptions do not specify the fee amount, currency, or a particular menu sequence.
This lets you keep using a favored weapon as you find stronger gear, rather than treating each new drop as an automatic replacement. The service’s documented purpose is to upgrade equipment you own; it does not describe transferring enchantments from one weapon to another.

Manage enchantments separately at the Enchantsmith
Add an enchantment from your library
- Find Enchantment Books during your adventure. Their unique enchantments are added to your personal library.
- Visit the Enchantsmith, choose a gear slot, and select an available effect from that library.
Level up an enchantment
The Enchantsmith also lets you upgrade and level enchantments over time. The official gameplay explanation does not state specific costs, level caps, or unlock requirements, so use the current in-game prompts for those details.

A built-in buff and a library enchantment are different things. If you want to change an item’s built-in buff, the Blacksmith is the relevant vendor; if you want to apply or level a library enchantment, use the Enchantsmith.
