Before you update: confirm which M12 you have
Check the model name printed on the controller, its packaging, or your order listing. MOBAPAD markets the M12 Pro as a Joy-Con-style controller for Nintendo Switch 2, but its manual index names M12 HD and M12 S manuals rather than an M12 Pro manual. The available app release notes also identify firmware requirements for M12-HD and M12-S, not for M12 Pro. Do not install firmware intended for another M12 model unless MOBAPAD confirms it applies to yours.

MOBAPAD describes the M12 Pro as supporting Bluetooth and wired connections, with app support for Android and iOS. Those details do not establish a specific pairing sequence or button combination for connecting it to the app.

- Install the official app for your phone. Open MOBAPAD’s downloads page and choose the Android or iOS app. The page lists app version 2.8.5. It also lists a PC app as being for Huben2 only; do not use that PC app for the M12 Pro based on the available guidance.
- Connect and select the controller in the app. Use the app’s own connection and selection prompts. MOBAPAD’s published information confirms app support and firmware upgrades, but does not provide exact M12 Pro pairing taps or button combinations.
- Follow an update prompt only when it matches your confirmed model. If the app offers firmware, check the displayed model and instructions before proceeding. The official sources do not state an M12 Pro firmware version, update duration, or recovery procedure.
- Stop if the model does not match. If the controller is not detected, or the app or firmware instructions identify it as M12 HD or M12 S when your device is labeled M12 Pro, do not guess. Ask MOBAPAD support which instructions apply to your controller.
Configure buttons and other settings
MOBAPAD says its app supports customizable keys, combos, macros, joystick curves, trigger settings, lighting, vibration, and firmware upgrades. The M12 Pro product page specifically names two customizable M1/M2 buttons. The manufacturer’s general app description does not show the exact M12 Pro settings screens, so use the options the app presents for your identified model rather than assuming every listed control is available on it.

MOBAPAD also describes the M12 Pro as having NFC, 9-axis motion sensing, TMR Glide joysticks, HD2.0 vibration, RGB lighting, and mouse functionality. These are manufacturer specifications and feature claims; consult the latest model-matched instructions for how to use or configure them.
Be cautious with instructions written for related models. Apple’s App Store notes for app version 2.8.4 say joystick dead-zone and compensation, motion-control, turbo, and vibration settings were added for M12-HD; the notes specify M12-HD firmware v0.32 or later for those additions. The same release notes describe joystick curve/dead-zone and turbo settings for M12-S, requiring M12-S firmware v1.18 or later. These are model-specific notes and do not confirm those versions or features apply to M12 Pro.

Update Switch 2 separately
A console software update is separate from controller firmware. On Switch 2, open System Settings > System > System Update to check for a system update, following Nintendo’s system-update instructions.

If the controller is not detected or settings are missing
- Check the printed model name again, then verify that you installed the Android or iOS MOBAPAD app rather than the PC app listed for Huben2.
- Follow the connection prompts shown in the app. The available official documentation does not specify a universal M12 Pro pairing sequence, so avoid relying on an unverified button combination.
- If the app offers another M12 variant’s firmware, stop and contact MOBAPAD for confirmation before updating.
- If you are checking whether button input reaches the console, Nintendo documents System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Test Input Devices > Test Controller Buttons as a diagnostic for Nintendo Pro Controllers. It may help only if the M12 is recognized in a compatible mode; Nintendo’s page does not establish that every M12 Pro function will appear there.
