What the Ywach Rift route actually requires
Ywach is the spelling many players use, but the same target appears under several names in community guides and reward interfaces: Yehowach and Yuhabaha are the important alternatives. Search all three names when checking the in-game wiki or community discussions. The unit page lists Rift as the obtainment source, so ordinary story stages, banners, and standard challenges are not substitutes for the Rift route.
The manual route has six parts. You need enough progression to access Rift mode, 1,000 Rift Shards for the item price listed by the cited guide, a usable Temporal Rift, and a team capable of finishing the Nightmare stage. The item does not award Ywach immediately; it creates the selected Rift, and the unit is a possible completion reward.

Step-by-step: open the Ywach Rift portal
1. Reach level 30 and enter the lobby
Rift mechanics documentation lists level 30 as the minimum requirement. If the Rift option, the Time Goddess, or the relevant stage is missing, check your level first. The requirement applies to Rift mode; other lobby features can have separate progression rules.
2. Talk to the Time Goddess
Find the Time Goddess NPC in the lobby and open the Rift Shop. This is the shop used for the manual activation route. Do not assume that a normal lobby shop or a stage-selection menu sells the same item.

3. Buy a Temporal Rift
The exact-title guide lists the Temporal Rift price as 1,000 Rift Shards. Treat that as the cited price, not a permanent guarantee: the shop and prices can be revised by updates. Confirm the amount shown in your own shop before pressing the purchase button, and keep enough shards for any other Rift-shop item you consider essential.
4. Use the item from your inventory
Open your inventory, select the Temporal Rift, and activate it. The item is the manual trigger; it is not a consumable that directly places Ywach in your roster. If activation is unavailable, look for an already active global Rift and check the lobby timer before trying again.

When the selection screen appears, choose Rift The Almighty Act 3. This is the route associated with the Almighty/Yehowach rotation. Selecting a different act or target sends you into another Rift path and does not target Ywach.
6. Enter Kuinshi Palace The True King on Nightmare
Queue for Kuinshi Palace The True King and set the difficulty to Nightmare. The cited guide identifies this exact stage and difficulty for the manual Ywach attempt. Verify the stage name in the current menu because event and patch labels can change.
7. Finish the complete run
Complete the run rather than leaving after an early wave or failing the final encounter. A successful completion gives the normal Rift rewards and a chance at Ywach. The Temporal Rift creates the opportunity; it does not bypass the clear.

How global Rifts and Temporal Rifts interact
Rifts can appear naturally in the lobby or be summoned with a Temporal Rift. A natural spawn is rotation- and timer-dependent, while the Temporal Rift lets you select the Almighty Act 3 route manually. Both activation methods share a cooldown until one completion occurs in the interval, according to the Rift mechanics page. In practical terms, buying another Temporal Rift will not necessarily let you open a second route immediately after a global activation.

Do not rely on a single published spawn schedule. One community FAQ describes appearances every three hours, while another Rift snippet describes an hourly timer. Those values conflict, and neither is presented as a developer patch note. Use the live lobby timer and the Rift Shop display as authoritative for your server and current patch.
Drop chance, Vowstone pity, and expected attempts
The Anime Vanguards Wiki was crawled in 2026 with a reported 2% drop chance for Yehowach from completed Rifts. That is a per-completion chance, not a guarantee after a fixed number of runs. At 2%, the probability of at least one drop after n independent successful clears is calculated as 1 - 0.98^n; the game does not promise that your actual result will match the average.

What the Vowstone does
The Rift Shop’s Vowstone is described as pity protection. The cited FAQ says buying one guarantees Yehowach for one run, and the mechanics page specifies that it guarantees the unit on the next Rift you win. The important condition is “win”: you still need to clear the selected Rift. The available price is not consistently exposed in the published material, so check the current shop rather than budgeting from an old screenshot.

If the Vowstone is stocked and affordable, use it before a serious Nightmare attempt when your priority is certainty rather than conserving shards. If it is absent, do not assume a normal Temporal Rift has pity attached; the documented 2% chance applies unless the current interface states otherwise.
Rotation and timing: when The Almighty appears
The Rift page lists a fixed cycle: Almighty/Yehowach → Rider/Astolfo → Turbo/GG → Pink/Warlord (of the Sea) → restart. Rifts rotate weekly, and the shop restocks with the rotation. That means a global Rift may be active while the Almighty target is not the current rotation, and a shop that was stocked last week may show different items now.
- Check the lobby’s active-Rift indicator before consuming a Temporal Rift.
- Check the current rotation name; do not infer it from a previous week’s screenshot.
- Use the live timer for start and end times because published timing snippets disagree.
- Remember that the shared cooldown can affect both naturally spawned and manually summoned Rifts.
Preparation for a Nightmare clear
Build for completion, not only damage screenshots
The reward is rolled after a successful run, so a fast-looking build that fails the final waves is less useful than a dependable composition. Bring enough damage for the Nightmare scaling, reliable range coverage, and crowd-control or status tools that your roster can sustain through the entire stage. The available data does not establish a specific “best” team, so avoid treating a single community lineup as mandatory.
Coordinate a party
Use a party when your own roster cannot clear Nightmare consistently. More players can improve reliability and let you share the work of handling lanes and bosses. However, do not confuse party strength with drop odds: MVP status can double Rift Shard rewards when at least three players participate, but it does not increase the chance of a Rift Secret unit.

Protect the activation window
Have your party ready before using the Temporal Rift. Confirm the selected act, stage, and difficulty, then start only when the players who will clear are present. A failed or abandoned run consumes time without giving the completion reward and can leave you waiting on the shared cooldown.

Shard planning and the cost of repeated attempts

- Save the 1,000 shards before opening the shop so you do not discover the shortfall after a rotation change.

- Prioritize a reliable Nightmare clear; an uncompleted run cannot produce the Rift reward.
- Use MVP participation for additional shard income only if you can actually maintain the required three-player condition; it does not improve Ywach odds.
Ywach evolution requirements and what the evolved unit does
Obtaining the Rift unit is only the first step if you intend to evolve it. The Yehowach unit page lists the following materials and progression requirements:

The Almighty form is labeled a Secret/Cosmic unit. Its listed effects include immunity to status effects; a 5% damage increase for every status effect avoided, up to 30%; and an additional attack against the last enemy in range when the first and last enemies differ. At Upgrade 11, the listed active ability is Ashfallen. These are unit-page descriptions, so read the current in-game ability text for exact targeting, duration, and balance values after a patch.

Troubleshooting common portal problems
The Temporal Rift will not activate
- Confirm that your account is at least level 30.
- Look for an active global Rift and read the lobby timer.
- Check whether the shared Rift cooldown is still running after a recent completion.
- Make sure the item is in your inventory and has not already been consumed.
The Almighty Act 3 option is missing
Check the weekly rotation and reopen the item-selection interface. A rotation change can alter which target is available. If the option still does not appear, follow the current lobby and shop labels rather than an older guide; the route and names can change with patches.
The stage is available but the run fails
Lower the risk of a wasted activation by assembling a full party, checking lane coverage, and confirming that every player understands the Nightmare objective before launch. The documented reward requires completion, and MVP status cannot compensate for a failed run.

You received Rift rewards but not Ywach
That result is consistent with the reported 2% drop rate. A normal clear is a chance attempt, not a guaranteed pull. If the current shop offers a Vowstone, use it according to its displayed description before the next Rift you intend to win.
The shop price or timer differs from an older guide
Trust the live game. The 1,000-shard figure is the price listed by the cited guide, while published timing and Vowstone-price information is inconsistent. Updates can also change rotations, costs, and requirements.

- Reach level 30 or higher.
- Find the Time Goddess in the lobby.
- Open Rift Shop and verify the current Temporal Rift price.

What can change after a patch
Rift routes are live-service content. The cited guide and wiki material are community sources rather than developer patch notes, so treat the 1,000-shard price, 2% rate, level-30 requirement, rotation order, and evolution list as the documented values for the referenced version. Before committing currency, recheck the lobby timer, Rift Shop, selected act, reward description, and current unit page.
