The requirement that actually unlocks Taubound
Your account must have completed Vor’s Prize. That is the operation’s participation gate. You do not need to clear the normal path through the Star Chart first, and you do not need to complete Eris’s Junction before joining the event.

Digital Extremes’ announcement says: “At the start of Epoch Operation: Taubound, all Tenno who have completed Vor’s Prize will be able to access all the nodes of Eris as well as Praghasa.” In practical terms, the event temporarily opens Eris for qualifying accounts. The access is tied to the live operation, not a permanent change to your normal Star Chart progression.

What completing Vor’s Prize means
Vor’s Prize is the opening quest that establishes a new player’s account and introduces the basic Navigation flow. You need the quest marked complete, rather than merely having started it. If you are unsure, check your Codex quest list for its completed status before looking for Eris.
Step-by-step: enter the operation
- Complete Vor’s Prize. This is the only quest completion required to access Taubound itself.
- Launch Navigation from your Orbiter. Use the normal Star Chart interface rather than the Codex quest screen.
- Select Eris during the event window. Eligible Tenno receive temporary access to Eris nodes even if the usual Junction requirements are unfinished.
- Choose Praghasa. Praghasa is the operation node on Eris. Opening it takes you to the event area and its contribution and reward interface.
- Run Eris missions and collect Moonflesh. Infested enemies provide the operation currency, and timed Operation Alerts provide larger fixed awards when completed.
- Return to Praghasa and contribute Moonflesh. The node is where you turn the currency into available operation rewards and view the community contribution progress tied to Contegorus armor unlocks.
If Eris is unavailable in Navigation, first confirm that the operation is currently running and that Vor’s Prize is complete. Outside the event period, the temporary Eris access and Praghasa node are not available through Taubound.
Finding Praghasa on Eris
Praghasa is not a replacement for an ordinary Eris mission. It is the event’s entry and contribution point. Once Eris is visible, look for the node named Praghasa on the Eris map and select it. Its interface is where you can inspect the event’s available rewards, hand in Moonflesh, and see progress toward the shared Contegorus armor unlocks.

Why the node may not appear
- The event has ended or has not started. Praghasa is temporary and is not a permanent Star Chart node.
- Vor’s Prize is incomplete. The event access statement applies to Tenno who have completed that quest.
- You are looking at another Star Chart region. Select Eris first; Praghasa is located there.
- Your session has stale navigation data. Return to the Orbiter’s Navigation screen after confirming the event is live. If the node still does not appear, relaunch the game and check the event announcement or in-game event panel for the current schedule.
How Moonflesh is earned
Moonflesh is the currency used by Taubound. The official event figures distinguish ordinary Eris missions, Steel Path missions, and timed Operation Alerts.

Standard Eris missions
On normal Eris missions, each qualifying Infested enemy is worth 2 Moonflesh under the event’s published rules. The award is attached to eligible enemies, so the amount you earn depends on how many qualifying Infested enemies you encounter and defeat during the mission.
The announcement does not establish a guaranteed drop for every enemy type, nor does it publish a universal minutes-per-Moonflesh rate. Treat the 2-per-enemy figure as the confirmed unit award, not as a promise of a specific total for a particular mission or run time.

Steel Path raises the published enemy award to 3 Moonflesh per qualifying Infested enemy. That is a higher currency yield per eligible enemy, but Steel Path also increases mission difficulty. Choose it only if your equipment and survivability make the added difficulty practical; the event announcement does not claim that Steel Path is faster for every player.
Operation Alerts
Timed Operation Alerts are the other confirmed source. Completing one awards 50 Moonflesh on standard difficulty or 75 on Steel Path. Because Alerts are time-limited, check the Eris map and the event interface whenever you log in. An Alert can change the best use of a play session: a fixed completion reward may be more predictable than relying only on enemy kills.
A practical farming decision
Use four questions to choose what to play:
- Is an Operation Alert active? If yes, note whether you can complete its standard or Steel Path version before the timer expires. The fixed reward is 50 or 75 Moonflesh respectively.
- Can you clear Steel Path reliably? Steel Path pays 3 per qualifying enemy instead of 2, but a slower or failed run can erase that advantage. The event supplies no universal time benchmark, so judge by your own completion speed.
- How dense are the Infested spawns in the mission you selected? Enemy density determines how many qualifying enemies you can defeat. The published rules provide the per-enemy value, not a guaranteed mission total.
- What is your immediate goal at Praghasa? If you need a specific reward, record its displayed Moonflesh cost and choose Alerts or ordinary missions based on the time you have available.
A simple loop is to check Praghasa for the rewards you want, inspect Eris for an active Alert, complete that Alert if practical, then run Eris missions and return to Praghasa when you have enough currency for the next contribution. This keeps the event interface, your target, and the available time-limited activity in view without assuming a farming rate the announcement does not provide.

Contributing Moonflesh and claiming rewards
Moonflesh is spent at Praghasa, not at a relay vendor or a normal mission result screen. Open Praghasa, review the available operation rewards, and contribute the amount shown for the reward you want. The node is also the place to follow the event’s shared contribution progress.
Personal rewards and the community track
The Praghasa interface combines your operation activity with a community objective. As players contribute Moonflesh, the total community amount advances toward Contegorus armor unlocks. Your individual contribution therefore serves two purposes: it is used for the rewards displayed in the Praghasa interface, and it adds to the global progress tracked by the event.
The published information does not specify a separate personal Moonflesh threshold that must be reached before the operation can begin. You can enter and farm after completing Vor’s Prize; the currency is for contributions and rewards after access is granted.
Clan trophy thresholds
Taubound also tracks clan trophy milestones. Digital Extremes lists thresholds ranging from 1,500 to 600,000 Moonflesh, depending on clan tier and trophy level. The exact milestone that applies to your clan is determined by those two factors, so use the threshold shown in the event or clan interface rather than applying the lowest or highest figure universally.
Taubound is separate from the Tau Prologue Quest
The operation and the Tau Prologue Quest are easy to confuse because both use Tau-related naming. They are different pieces of content with different requirements.

Requirements for Taubound
- Complete Vor’s Prize.
- Join through Eris and Praghasa while the event is active.
- Earn Moonflesh from Eris activities and contribute it at Praghasa.
Requirements for the Tau Prologue Quest
- Complete The Hex.
- Complete The Old Peace.
- Access the permanent Tau Prologue Quest through the Codex after those quest requirements are met.
The Hex and The Old Peace are not needed to harvest Moonflesh, enter Praghasa, or receive Taubound rewards. Conversely, participating in Taubound does not replace those quests as prerequisites for the separate Tau Prologue Quest.

The Digital Extremes announcement schedules Epoch Operation: Taubound from October 15 at 11:00 a.m. through November 17 at 11:00 a.m. The announcement’s published schedule does not specify a timezone in the information available here, so check the in-game timer or the official event notice for the time displayed for your region.
The same announcement says there will be no reruns. That makes the event window significant: temporary Eris access, Praghasa, Moonflesh contributions, and Taubound’s event rewards are time-limited. Do not assume that an unfinished reward track will return in a later cycle.
Planning around the closing time
- Check the remaining event time before starting a long session. The closing time is the end of the listed window, not the time you begin a mission.
- Complete an Alert before it expires. Its 50- or 75-Moonflesh award requires completion, so an unfinished run does not provide the completion reward.
- Visit Praghasa before the event closes. Contribute currency and claim the rewards shown there while the node is available.
- Do not rely on a future rerun. The announcement explicitly says the operation will not be repeated.
Troubleshooting common access and farming problems
Eris is still locked behind a Junction
For the event, normal Star Chart and Junction requirements are lifted for Tenno who have completed Vor’s Prize. If Eris remains inaccessible, verify the quest’s completed status and confirm that the operation is within its announced dates. You are not expected to complete the ordinary Junction path just to join Taubound during the live window.

Praghasa is missing but Eris is visible
Praghasa is the event node, so its absence usually points to the event not being active for your current session or to an account that does not satisfy the Vor’s Prize requirement. Reopen Navigation, select Eris again, and check the event’s displayed end time. Restarting the game can refresh a stale map state, but it cannot restore a node after the event has ended.
You are farming but your total seems low
The confirmed enemy award is per qualifying Infested enemy: 2 on standard Eris and 3 on Steel Path. A mission’s total therefore varies with the number of eligible enemies you defeat. Operation Alerts add a separate fixed completion award of 50, or 75 on Steel Path. No official universal minutes-per-Moonflesh figure is published, so compare your own clear speed and enemy counts rather than expecting every mission to produce the same amount.
You are looking for a quest marker
Taubound is entered from Navigation through Eris and Praghasa. It is not gated behind The Hex or The Old Peace, and those quests will not unlock the operation if Vor’s Prize is unfinished. Use the Star Chart route for the event and the Codex route for the separate Tau Prologue Quest.
You cannot decide between standard and Steel Path
Use standard missions when reliable completion matters more than the higher per-enemy award. Use Steel Path when you can clear it consistently and want 3 rather than 2 Moonflesh per qualifying enemy, or 75 rather than 50 for a Steel Path Operation Alert. The published figures establish the rewards, not a universal speed advantage, so your clear time and failure risk are the deciding factors.
What is and is not established about progression
The event rules establish the access gate, the temporary Eris opening, the Praghasa entry point, Moonflesh sources, Steel Path multipliers, Alert rewards, community contribution tracking, and the October 15–November 17 schedule. They do not establish a guaranteed drop rate for every Infested enemy, a fixed Moonflesh total per mission, or a universal farming time. Build your plan around the confirmed per-enemy and per-Alert awards, then use the live Praghasa interface to see the actual reward costs and community milestones.
