Reach level 10, finish your faction’s introductory quest, then register from Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival during the three-minute window that begins at the top of each server-time hour. Entry is free; Reward Keys are used after a round for Monster Cube picks, not to join the game.
What you need before Shugo Festival appears
Shugo Festival is gated by character level and a faction quest. The event becomes available at level 10, while the quests themselves are commonly recommended around level 13. You must complete the correct quest for your faction; reaching level 10 alone does not unlock the menu.

| Faction | Quest | Prerequisite | Quest giver and location | Guide-reported reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elyos | Visions in Smoke | Soaring Free | Caelid at the Dawn Legion Base in Verteron | 81,539 EXP, 5,700 bound Kina and a Noble Belt |
| Asmodians | Urgent Pursuit | Veiled Truth | Ulgorn at Quai Campsite in Altgard | 65,160 EXP, 6,100 bound Kina and a Noble Belt |
The experience, Kina and item figures above are guide-reported values and may change with a client update. If a quest is not offered, check that the prerequisite is complete, your character is at least level 10, and you are speaking to the named NPC in the correct faction zone.

When Shugo Festival starts
A round is scheduled at the top of every hour according to server time. The registration or gathering phase lasts three minutes. That short window is the important deadline: you can see the event outside the window, but you cannot register for a new activity after registration closes or after the selected game reaches its player cap.

The live client is the authority for your region and patch. Three dated gameplay guides updated between October 12 and October 19, 2026 agree on the hourly schedule, the three-minute window, the minimap control and the fact that keys are used after play. They differ on whether nine or 11 activities are exposed, so a game listed below may not appear on every rollout.
How to enter a round
- Be online before :00. Use server time, not necessarily your local clock. Arrive a minute or two early so loading or travel does not consume the registration period.
- Watch the minimap. During the ready phase, look for the Shugo icon or the adjacent event timer beside the minimap.
- Open registration. Click the Shugo icon or timer, or open Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival.
- Select one available activity. The panel shows the games currently accepting players. Choose only one for that round.
- Accept teleport. Confirm the prompt, which can be worded like “Teleport to Not This Tile? region?” The exact destination text changes with the game.
- Wait for matchmaking and the loading screen. Entry ends when the three-minute window expires or the activity fills. If the queue does not reach enough players, the round can be canceled.
- Play for the minimum score. A participation reward is not guaranteed merely because you entered; each activity has a minimum score requirement.
Festival Managers can also handle entry at event sites, including Verteron’s Garden of the Illusion God, Altamia Canyon and Altgard’s Safe Haven. The minimap icon and the Content menu are generally the fastest options because they show the current registration state.
Every documented Shugo Festival mini-game
The table combines the nine-game rotation documented by gameplay guides with two additional activities listed by the global client. Times are the published limits or approximate durations; a live patch can adjust them.
| Mini-game | Time limit | Players | Type | Win condition and key mechanic |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jump Jump | 2:55 to about 3 minutes | 1–4 | Obstacle collection | Dodge red lasers and bombs while collecting balloons; pink balloons briefly grant invulnerability. |
| Not This Tile? | 3:15, about 3 minutes | 1–6 | Memory and route choice | Remember correct tile colors and cross eight rounds; correct tiles score and a wrong finish loses points. |
| Hidden Lugi | 3:30 | 2–9 | Collection and identification | Lugi collect Odyle Drops while avoiding detection; Shugo players score by identifying disguised Lugi. |
| Odyle Flight Frenzy | 3:30 | 1–8 | Flight collection | Fly through a canyon for Odyle Drops; acceleration rings increase speed and refill Flight Power. |
| Goldrin’s Treasure | 3:50, about 4 minutes | 1–8 | Search and collection | Search cliffs for chests; light beams show nearby treasure and fragments add contribution points. |
| Wraith Evasion | 5:00 | 1–6 | Collection and tag | Collect Odyle Drops while avoiding wraiths; being caught turns you into a wraith until you tag another player. |
| Mysterious Track | 5:00 | 1–8 | Mount race | Ride a pet for two laps, avoid obstacles and use pickups for temporary boosts. |
| Defend Shugo Merchants | 5:00 | 1–8 | Cooperative combat | Defend two merchants from enemy waves; Petrification Chests freeze most enemies, but exploding insectoids are immune. |
| Up! Up! Up! | 5:00 | 1–8 | Platforming | As a Gravi, jump across moving platforms and reach checkpoints; the first checkpoint is required for a reward. |
| Nyerk Shooter | About 2:30 | Not established in the cited table | Fixed-camera shooting | Destroy falling Pangs and jump over Rotan. |
| Shugo’s Dilemma | About 5 minutes | Not established in the cited table | Counting and positioning | Stand on a platform with exactly the displayed number of players; wrong counts lose points and Odyle Drops add bonuses. |
Jump Jump
This is a short solo-friendly obstacle run with a maximum of four players. Red laser hazards and floor warnings identify danger, while balloons provide the main scoring route. A pink balloon gives a brief invulnerability period, so use it to cross a laser section rather than collecting it casually. When the floor signals a bomb, move away before prioritizing another balloon. Because the round lasts under three minutes, surviving consistently is more valuable than taking a risky detour for a single pickup.
Not This Tile?
Each round presents a safe color pattern or route that you must remember, and the activity repeats the decision over eight rounds. Look at the full pattern before moving and treat the first pass as information gathering. Commit to a tile only after checking the color sequence; a wrong finish can remove points earned earlier. The six-player cap makes this a good choice when you prefer memory and deliberate movement over combat or flight controls.

N key rollover, and supports WIN key lock to prevent accidental touches in intense games
Hidden Lugi
Hidden Lugi is asymmetrical: Lugi players collect Odyle Drops while trying not to be identified, and Shugo players search for disguised Lugi. With two to nine participants, roles and the number of people on each side can affect the pace. If you are a Lugi, vary your path and avoid obvious repeated routes while collecting safely. If you are a Shugo, watch movement that does not fit the surrounding disguises and make identification decisions before the timer expires. This is less about raw movement speed than reading the arena and the other players.
Odyle Flight Frenzy
Flight Frenzy uses flight controls in a canyon. Collect Odyle Drops, then pass through acceleration rings when the route is safe: they increase speed and restore Flight Power, allowing you to stay airborne longer. Avoid turning sharply immediately after a ring, because the speed increase can carry you into a wall or past the next pickup. Players who are uncomfortable with three-dimensional movement should choose a ground-based game instead; a missed flight line can cost more than a single drop.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteGoldrin’s Treasure
Cliffs contain the chests, and light beams point toward nearby treasure. Use the beam as a directional clue instead of searching every ledge. Fragments contribute to your score, so collect them after opening a chest when the route is safe. The eight-player cap leaves room for several people to search, but following another player can lead to an already-claimed location; spread out and use the beams to select a different cliff.
Wraith Evasion
Collect Odyle Drops while avoiding the wraiths. If a wraith catches you, your role changes and you remain a wraith until you tag another player. Keep moving through open space rather than cornering yourself near a pickup. Once transformed, pursue an isolated player instead of a group that can turn and escape together. The six-player limit means every transformation materially changes the round, so survival and positioning matter as much as collection.
Mysterious Track
You ride a pet for two laps. Obstacles slow or disrupt the run, while pickups provide boosts. Save a boost for a straight section or the final approach rather than activating it immediately before a turn. Learn the obstacle rhythm on the first lap, then use the second lap to take a cleaner line. This is a straightforward option for players comfortable with racing movement but not with combat targeting or flight.

Defend Shugo Merchants
This is a cooperative defense round with up to eight players and two merchants to protect. Split attention between both merchant positions instead of allowing the entire group to chase one wave. Petrification Chests freeze most enemies and create breathing room, but exploding insectoids are immune, so deal with those threats directly. Save crowd-control effects for dense waves and keep a route open to a merchant that is taking damage. Success depends on coverage and target priority rather than individual damage totals.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Up! Up! Up!
You play as a Gravi and jump across moving platforms toward checkpoints. The first checkpoint is the reward threshold; reaching later checkpoints improves your position but cannot compensate for missing the first one. Keyboard controls are recommended because precise directional corrections are easier during repeated jumps. Watch a platform’s full movement cycle before committing, and land near its center so the next movement does not slide you off. If your controls are imprecise, this can be more difficult than its simple objective suggests.
Nyerk Shooter
Nyerk Shooter is listed by the global client but is not included in the older nine-game table. It uses a fixed camera: destroy falling Pangs and jump over Rotan. Keep the camera centered on the play lane, fire at the next falling target rather than chasing one already below you, and reserve jumps for Rotan hazards. The cited table does not establish a player cap, so treat the live registration panel as authoritative.
Shugo’s Dilemma
Shugo’s Dilemma is another client-listed activity whose rollout may vary. A number appears on the platform, and exactly that many players must stand on it. An incorrect count costs points, while Odyle Drops provide bonus scoring. Count before moving, communicate with nearby players if the interface allows it, and leave promptly when the required number has been reached. Because the cited table does not establish a player cap, use the in-game listing rather than assuming the limits of another activity.

For a first attempt, select the game whose controls you already use confidently. A failed minimum score can forfeit the participation reward, so a familiar control scheme is usually safer than chasing the activity with the highest theoretical placement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Scores, Reward Keys and post-game rewards
Minimum score and placement
Every activity has a minimum score. Entering the arena without reaching that threshold can forfeit the normal participation reward. Higher placement generally grants more post-game card picks, so staying alive, reaching the first checkpoint or protecting the objective is often more valuable than taking a high-risk route for one extra collectible.
Keys are not an entry fee
Participation is free and does not consume a Reward Key. After the game, keys are used for Monster Cube selections. If you have no keys, you can still enter to practice and earn any reward that the current rules allow, but you cannot claim the normal Monster Cube picks.
Daily supply and server sharing
Guides report that three Reward Keys are added daily. They also report a storage cap of 12, or 21 with membership. Those caps are live-service values and should be verified in the current key panel. Keys are shared across characters on the same server, so spending them on one character reduces the balance available to your other characters on that server.

Participation rewards
- Guide-reported participation rewards include 40 Centuryroot Tokens per game for characters at levels 10–44.
- At level 45, the reported token amount is 50 per game.
- AllThingsHow reports 700 Enhancement Stones for a level-45 participation reward.
- Mobalytics reports reward-card token outcomes of 30, 40, 60 or 100, with stated probabilities in its guide.
These amounts are not guaranteed to remain unchanged across patches. The reward screen shown after your round is the final authority for your character, level and client version.

Fixes for common entry problems
The Shugo Festival menu is missing
- Confirm that the character is level 10 or higher.
- Check the quest log for the completed faction quest: Visions in Smoke for Elyos or Urgent Pursuit for Asmodians.
- Verify the prerequisite quest, Soaring Free or Veiled Truth, is complete.
- Relog or change zones after turning in the quest if the Content menu has not refreshed.
No registration icon appears
Wait for the next server-time :00. The icon is expected during the three-minute ready phase, not continuously. Check the timer beside the minimap and open the Content menu manually. If the event is already underway, registration has closed for that round.
The teleport prompt never arrives
Make sure you selected an activity that still has room, then accept the prompt promptly. A full activity, an expired window or a canceled round because too few players joined can remove the prompt. A Festival Manager at an event site can confirm whether the local registration is active.
The round was canceled
Some activities require enough players to start. Try the next hourly window and choose a game with a larger listed cap or a different activity. The cap is not a promise that a round will launch; it is the maximum number of participants.
You finished but received no normal reward
Check whether you reached the activity’s minimum score. In platforming games, this can mean reaching the first checkpoint; in collection or defense games, it means earning enough points before time expires. Also check whether you were expecting a Monster Cube pick: that part requires an available Reward Key after the round.
A listed game is not available
The documented rotation differs between guides and the global client. Nine activities are described in the main rotation, while Nyerk Shooter and Shugo’s Dilemma are also listed by the client. Availability can depend on rollout, region and patch, so use the live Shugo Festival schedule for the definitive list.
Version and availability notes
The published gameplay guides used for the current instructions were updated October 12–19, 2026. They agree on unlocking through the level-10 faction quests, hourly registration, the three-minute entry period, minimap access and post-game key usage, but they do not agree on whether nine or 11 games are currently exposed. No official NCSoft event reference was identified for these details, so quest rewards, key caps, token amounts and the active rotation should be rechecked after patches.
