How to unlock Valhalla Protocol
- Update 007 First Light to version 1.3.0 or later.
- From the game’s menus, enter TacSim and choose Valhalla Protocol.
- Read the live briefing before starting each mission; it provides that mission’s current objectives and conditions.
IO Interactive’s Update 1.3.0 patch notes introduce Extended Operations and describe it as free DLC. You do not need to buy Valhalla Protocol separately. The official notes do not specify a platform-by-platform button sequence, so the exact controls for opening TacSim may vary by platform or interface.

What the four missions involve
Valhalla Protocol is a set of four distinct driving challenges in the Slovakian mountains, not one campaign mission repeated four times. IO Interactive describes day and night driving with different challenge sets. You drive the Aston Martin Valhalla, using machine guns and missile launchers to take down targets, while collecting time bonuses and aiming for your best result. How to approach a run
The official overview establishes the broad objective, but does not publish a complete route guide or mission-by-mission target list. Treat each briefing as authoritative for the run you are about to attempt.

- Check the briefing. Note the objectives and any conditions shown for that mission rather than assuming they match another stage.
- Learn the route and target placement. On an early attempt, prioritize understanding where the course goes and where targets appear.
- Balance driving and weapons. Use the Valhalla’s machine guns and missile launchers to engage objectives, while keeping enough control to stay on course and reach time bonuses.
- Compare results against the briefing. Use its conditions, target completion, time bonuses and final score to assess whether a later attempt improved.
This is general advice based on the published objectives, not a tested optimal route or a developer-prescribed strategy. Official materials do not establish a universal score threshold, required medal, guaranteed reward list, or the exact turns, target placements and weapon choice for each target.

If Valhalla Protocol is missing from TacSim
- Confirm that the game has installed Update 1.3.0 or a later update.
- Return to TacSim and look for Valhalla Protocol among its activities.
- If the activity still does not appear, check that the update has completed and consult the game’s current in-game menus or official support information for your platform; the published notes do not document platform-specific menu controls or troubleshooting steps.
