An Apple TV listing for Katseye: Wild Hearts was surfaced, while the Netflix result identified in the available information is for the related series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, not this exact title. Before changing the language
Check the title page carefully before troubleshooting playback settings. A similarly named KATSEYE program is not evidence that KATSEYE: Wild Hearts is available on the same service. If the exact title is not listed, the Netflix instructions below will not add it to your catalog or create language tracks that the distributor has not supplied.

Netflix exposes the available tracks from the player, and the list can differ between streaming and an offline download.

- Use the profile you normally watch with. Profile language preferences can influence which tracks Netflix presents.
- Keep the device online while checking a language that is not appearing in a download.
- Be aware that an audio track and subtitles are separate choices. Changing one does not automatically change the other.
Turn on subtitles and change audio while watching in Netflix
These steps apply when the exact title is playing in Netflix. Open the playback controls first, then make the two selections separately.
Phone, tablet, or computer
- Open Netflix and start playing KATSEYE: Wild Hearts.
- Tap the picture on a phone or tablet, or click the picture in a computer browser, to reveal the controls.
- Choose Audio & Subtitles.
- Under subtitles, select the language you want. If you want subtitles off, choose the off option shown in that panel.
- Under audio, select the language or track you want to hear.
- Close the panel and continue playback. The selected subtitle and audio choices should take effect immediately.
Smart TV, Blu-ray player, cable box, game system, or streaming media player
- Start the exact title in the Netflix app.
- Press the remote’s up or down arrow to display playback controls.
- Select Audio & Subtitles. On some televisions and connected devices, the language choices appear as a row along the bottom of the screen instead of behind the familiar icon.
- Choose a subtitle language, then choose an audio track. Treat the two menus as independent settings.
- Exit the language row or close the panel to return to the programme.
Apple TV while using Netflix
- Start playback in Netflix.
- Swipe up on the Apple TV remote’s touch surface, or press the remote’s up arrow, to open the playback options.
- Select Audio & Subtitles.
- Pick the subtitle language and audio track separately, then dismiss the panel.
The Apple TV gesture above describes Netflix playback. An Apple TV listing for the exact title does not by itself establish that Netflix carries it, nor does it establish which tracks the Apple TV app offers. If you are watching through a different app, use that app’s own in-player language controls.
What each language choice does
Subtitles
The subtitle selection controls the written dialogue and other text supplied by the service. Depending on the title and episode, Netflix may offer a standard subtitle track or an SDH/CC variant. SDH or CC tracks can include additional accessibility text, but neither option is guaranteed for every episode.

Audio language
The audio selection changes the spoken soundtrack when more than one track is licensed for the title. Select the language explicitly; choosing subtitles alone does not change the spoken audio.
Audio Description
If Netflix supplies descriptive narration, it appears as a separate audio track labelled Audio Description. Choose that labelled track to hear narration describing visual information. To turn the narration off, select the corresponding audio language without the Audio Description label. Audio description may be absent for particular seasons or episodes.
Set preferred languages for your Netflix profile
Profile preferences are useful if you regularly watch with the same subtitle and audio languages. They can reduce repeated changes, but they cannot make an unavailable track appear.

TV or TV streaming device
- Go to Netflix’s profile-selection screen.
- Choose Edit Profile for the profile you use.
- Open Language and set the profile language preference.
- Return to playback and check Audio & Subtitles for the exact title. The title still determines which tracks can be selected.
Android, iPhone, or iPad
- Open Netflix and select My Netflix.
- Tap the profile name.
- Choose Manage Profiles, then select the relevant profile.
- Open Audio & Subtitles and choose your preferred languages.
- Save or leave the settings screen as prompted, then reopen the title.
Web browser
- Open Account in Netflix.
- Under Profiles, select the profile you want to change.
- Open Languages.
- Choose the audio and subtitle languages, then save.
- Start the title again and use the player menu to verify the tracks that are actually available.
Why a language is missing
A missing option is not necessarily a fault with your television or phone. Netflix identifies several variables that can change the language list:
- Location: licensing differs by country or territory.
- Profile preferences: the profile’s language settings influence the choices Netflix prioritises.
- Title and episode: tracks can differ between programmes, seasons, and individual episodes.
- Device support: the device or app version can affect which options are displayed.
- Licensing agreements: a distributor may provide a soundtrack or subtitle in one market but not another.
When streaming on a supported device, Netflix can show the languages available for that title in your current location. That list is the most reliable check of what you can select right now.
Downloaded viewing has a narrower list
Netflix may show only the two most relevant languages for a downloaded copy, even when additional languages are available during streaming. If the language you expect is missing from a download:

- Delete the downloaded copy.
- Connect the device to the internet.
- Set the desired language in the profile’s Audio and subtitle languages settings.
- Stream the title and reopen Audio & Subtitles to check the available tracks.
- Download the title again only after confirming that the desired track is offered for offline viewing.
This process cannot override a territory or licensing restriction; it only refreshes the download using the preferences and tracks Netflix makes available.

Troubleshoot the most common problems
The controls do not appear
Make sure playback has actually started, then use the gesture for your device: tap or click the picture on touch devices and computers, press up or down on most TV remotes, or swipe up on Apple TV. A television may display a language row at the bottom rather than an icon labelled Audio & Subtitles.

Subtitles and audio are licensed independently. Leave the subtitle selection in place and inspect the audio side of the panel; if no other audio track is listed, Netflix has not made one available for that title, episode, device, or territory.
The audio changed, but the subtitles did not
Reopen the same panel and make a separate subtitle selection. Selecting an audio track does not select a matching subtitle language automatically.
A language appears while streaming but not offline
Use the download-specific process above: remove the existing download, check the profile’s audio and subtitle preferences while online, and inspect the streaming list before downloading again. Netflix can limit downloads to two relevant languages.
An expected SDH/CC or Audio Description option is absent
Those are separate tracks, and availability can vary by title, season, and episode. Check another episode only to determine whether the difference is episode-specific; do not assume that a track offered elsewhere must exist for KATSEYE: Wild Hearts.
The exact title cannot be found in Netflix
Do not substitute Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE for KATSEYE: Wild Hearts. Verify the title name, service, and territory first. If the exact title is listed in Apple TV or another service instead, follow that service’s in-player controls; the Netflix menu path cannot be applied to an unrelated app.
