Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo hide the Search button at the bottom of an iPhone Home Screen, open Settings > Home Screen & App Library and turn off the option to show Search on the Home Screen. Spotlight remains available: swipe down on the Home Screen or Lock Screen to search.
Hide Search from the Home Screen
- Open Settings.
- Tap Home Screen & App Library.
- Turn off the control for showing Search on the Home Screen. Apple lists this option in that section; its exact wording may vary with iOS version or language. Apple’s iPhone Settings reference
- Return to the Home Screen to check that the Search control is no longer displayed.
Search still works without the button
Hiding the button changes the Home Screen display; it does not disable Spotlight or remove apps from search. To start a search, swipe down from the middle of the Home Screen or Lock Screen, then enter a query. Apple describes the Home Screen Search button for iPhone models with Face ID. Don’t confuse this with app search settings
Settings > Search includes controls for which apps appear in Spotlight results. Those controls affect search results, not whether the Home Screen Search button is shown. Apple’s Spotlight guide
If you can’t find the option
Look for Home Screen & App Library in Settings and check your iOS version; the option’s label may differ slightly. If your goal is broader Home Screen clean-up, you can also hide a Home Screen page. Apps on a hidden page remain available in the App Library. Apple’s guide to organising the Home Screen and App Library
