To prevent a future ring without removing the saved alarm, open Clock > Alarm and turn off the switch beside it. Use Snooze only when you want the alarm to ring again later.
Stop an alarm that is ringing
- If the phone is in use: When the alarm notification appears, tap Dismiss to stop it. Tap Snooze only to postpone it.
- If the alarm screen is showing while the device is not in use: Swipe the X in any direction to dismiss the alarm, or tap Snooze to delay it.

Turn off a future alarm without deleting it
- Open the Clock app.
- Select Alarm.
- Tap the switch beside the alarm to turn it off. Tap the switch again when you want to reactivate it.
Depending on the alarm’s settings, Clock may offer to turn it back on for its next scheduled day. Check that prompt before accepting it. If you want to prevent all future rings, review the alarm’s repeat schedule or delete it instead of relying on a temporary switch.
Delete a saved alarm
- In Clock > Alarm, touch and hold the alarm.
- Tap Delete.
Deleting removes the saved alarm and its settings. Samsung says deletion happens immediately without a confirmation step. Samsung Canada Support

If a Sleep mode alarm keeps returning
Check the Alarm list in Clock for an alarm associated with Sleep mode. A Samsung Community moderator has advised that this alarm can be modified or deleted there; the discussion is older, so treat it as a troubleshooting route rather than a guarantee that every Galaxy has the same controls. Samsung Community: “Disable sleep alarm”
Why your screen may look different
Samsung notes that some screens and options vary by device model and software version. Look for the Clock > Alarm route and the named controls rather than relying on an exact button position. An older Galaxy S9+ manual also documents Dismiss, Snooze, and the alarm-list switch, but its interface details are specific to that model. Samsung Galaxy S9+ User Manual

Snooze settings, if you want to change them
Samsung Canada Support lists a 5-minute snooze delay and three repeats as defaults in its alarm instructions; both are configurable app settings, not fixed values. Check the Clock app’s alarm settings if you want a different delay or repeat count. Samsung Canada Support
