First, identify what kind of lag you are seeing
Players have reported PS5 multiplayer symptoms including “Server lag with frame drops every 10 -15s” and missing inputs; another player described rubber-banding and mobs not interacting correctly. Frame-rate stutter and rubber-banding are not necessarily the same problem. Frame drops are visible stutters; rubber-banding is a character or other game action jumping back after appearing to move. Delayed or missed inputs can have more than one cause. Note which symptom you see rather than treating every issue as a network problem.

Try the same game in solo play and online multiplayer. If solo is smooth but online play is not, that makes the online session or connection worth investigating, but it does not prove your home network is responsible. Minecraft says the game supports solo play and co-op for up to four players, online or on the couch. Check PlayStation Network status
Look for a service issue before changing anything at home. PlayStation includes checking service status in its general guidance for server connection errors. PlayStation connection-error guidance.

Test the PS5 internet connection
On the console, open Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection. This can help establish whether the console reports a connection problem, but no game-specific bandwidth threshold is established for Minecraft Dungeons II. A single speed-test result cannot by itself identify the cause of in-game stutter or rubber-banding.

Compare Wi-Fi with wired LAN, if practical
If you already have a suitable LAN cable, compare the same mode or session over wired networking. On PS5, go to Settings > Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection > Set Up Wired LAN > Connect. Change only the connection type and observe whether the same symptom changes. A cable is an optional diagnostic, not a confirmed game fix or a required purchase. PlayStation wired LAN setup.

Restart the console and router if connection trouble persists
PlayStation’s general connection guidance includes restarting the PS5 and router. In the cited guidance, it advises waiting at least five minutes before restarting the router. This is a general connectivity check, not a Minecraft Dungeons II-specific remedy. Avoid routine DNS, port, or advanced router changes unless a relevant error or official game-specific advice points to them. PlayStation connection-error guidance.

Check for game and PS5 software updates
Use PlayStation’s instructions to check for game and system software updates. Keeping software current is sensible maintenance, but the available guidance does not establish that a particular update fixes these reported symptoms. PlayStation game and system software update instructions.
Record what changed before reporting a persistent issue
If the symptom remains, note the conditions that reproduce it and report them through Minecraft’s current official support or feedback channels. Useful details include:

- Whether it occurs solo, online, or both, and whether the comparison used a similar mode or session.
- Whether the PS5 was on Wi-Fi or wired LAN.
- What happened: frame-rate stutter, delayed or missed input, rubber-banding, or another symptom—and how often.
- Your PS5 model, game version, and any error code.
- Whether a restart or update changed the behavior.
Keep one condition fixed while testing another—for example, compare Wi-Fi and wired LAN in a similar session rather than changing the network, game mode, and software all at once. That makes the report more useful without assuming the cause in advance.
