Before changing drivers, identify your Altum and Windows version

Connect to the internet if possible, install available Windows updates, and check whether driver updates are offered. Microsoft recommends Windows Update as the usual way to get driver updates for Windows 10 and Windows 11. This is the safest first step when a built-in component stopped working after Windows was installed.

If Wi-Fi is the problem and the Altum cannot connect, use another available internet connection if you have one. Do not download a purported Wi-Fi driver from an unrelated driver-download site as a workaround.
Check the affected device in Device Manager
Open Device Manager, locate the device associated with the problem, and use its driver options to search automatically for an update. The exact device name and category can vary; the available information does not verify Altum-specific Wi-Fi, audio, or graphics hardware IDs or driver names.

Touchpad
Microsoft says a touchpad may be listed under Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices. Check both categories if it is not obvious. Try updating the driver; if that does not help, uninstall the touchpad device and restart Windows. A restart after uninstalling prompts Windows to try to reinstall the driver, and Windows Update may provide one.

Wi-Fi, audio, and display
Look for the affected device in the relevant Device Manager category and check whether Windows detects it. Use Device Manager’s update options rather than guessing a chipset, codec, graphics device, category, or driver filename. If the device is missing or still fails after the Windows steps, move on to AVITA support or a verified manufacturer driver.

Install a manual driver only after confirming the match
If Windows Update and Device Manager do not resolve the issue, get the driver from AVITA for the exact Altum model. Confirm with AVITA that it supports your installed Windows version and architecture before installing it. Microsoft advises using the device manufacturer’s site for manual drivers and avoiding downloads from non-manufacturer sites.
AVITA’s support page provides regional contacts, but the available information does not confirm a currently available Altum-specific driver package. If an appropriate download is not clearly listed, ask AVITA to identify the supported driver set for your model and location rather than trying a package for a different AVITA computer.

When to contact support
If updating or reinstalling the touchpad driver does not help, Microsoft directs users to contact the Windows device’s manufacturer. The same cautious approach makes sense for unresolved Wi-Fi, audio, or display problems: give support the exact Altum model, Windows edition, version, architecture, and the affected device’s status in Device Manager.
