For most transfers, use Realme’s Clone Phone app: open it on the Realme P4 as the new phone, then scan the P4’s QR code with Clone Phone on your old Android phone. Choose what to move and let the phones complete the transfer before disconnecting. If the P4 is still at initial setup, Android’s built-in copy option is another route; Google recommends using it during setup because it may not be available later.
Before you start
- Keep the old phone available until you have checked the P4. Back up anything irreplaceable separately.
- Charge both phones and keep them close while Clone Phone connects and transfers data.
- Make sure you can unlock the old phone and access the accounts you will need on the P4.

Transfer with Realme Clone Phone
- On the Realme P4: Open Clone Phone. Realme’s general support instructions place it under Tools. Choose the option indicating that this is the new phone; the realme UI 6.0 manual calls this “This is the new device.” Exact labels may vary.
- On your old Android phone: Open or install Clone Phone if prompted, then choose the old-phone option.
- Pair the phones: Scan the QR code displayed on the P4 with the old phone. The realme UI 6.0 manual also describes a manual connection option.
- Select and transfer: Choose the categories you want to migrate and start the transfer. Keep the phones close and wait for completion before disconnecting.
- Check the result: On the P4, verify important contacts, messages, photos, documents and apps. Do not erase or trade in the old phone until you have checked what matters to you.
Realme lists personal data, system data, applications and audio, video, photo and document files among Clone Phone’s transfer categories. The realme UI 6.0 manual gives examples including contacts, messages, call logs, apps, images, videos, preference settings and Wallet cards. Android’s initial setup flow can copy apps and data from another Android device. Google recommends doing this during setup because the copy option may not remain available afterwards. Follow the P4’s on-screen setup prompts and choose the offered device-to-device copy method. Android also describes a wired transfer option when the setup flow and devices support it. A cable is optional, not required for Clone Phone’s QR-based process. If you use Android’s wired setup route, use a data-capable cable compatible with both phones’ connectors; not every USB-C cable carries data, and the sources do not establish that a cable is included with every P4. Use a backup or copy files if transfer misses something
If Clone Phone fails or a category is missing, keep the old phone and try an appropriate backup or manual file copy to a computer. Realme documents local backup and computer copying, but the exact menu path depends on the software edition. Its Europe support FAQ describes local backup for realme UI versions 3.0 through 7.0 as including contacts, messages, call logs, preference settings and apps, excluding app data. It says realme UI R, Go, S, T and U editions do not support local backup. Handle WhatsApp separately
Do not assume Clone Phone alone will preserve WhatsApp chats. Google’s Android guidance says WhatsApp chats and data are restored from the cloud after you sign in to the new device and open WhatsApp. Before retiring the old phone, check that WhatsApp has a backup and that you can access the relevant account on the P4.
