Choose the official page to monitor
Start with the exact AMC or scheme URL relevant to your question. SEBI’s mutual-fund and RTA resources link to AMFI investor and data resources, including scheme information, NAV history, online AMC links, and factsheets. Use those directories to find the official destination, then record the specific page URL rather than relying on a general search result.

Decide what change matters before setting up monitoring. Examples include an investor notice, a factsheet link, a risk display, wording in a disclosure, or a page-layout change. The target should match that purpose: a factsheet link may be best monitored as text or an element, while a design change may call for a screenshot comparison.

Visual monitoring services can compare screenshots of a page or a selected region and show before-and-after differences. Some also provide text comparisons, alerts, or a history of saved versions. When evaluating a service, check whether it supports the comparison mode you need, region selection, version history or export, suitable alert channels and check frequency, dynamic-page interactions, and cloud or local checks. Most importantly, test access to the exact AMC page. Documentation of a feature does not establish that the service can reliably capture every Indian AMC page.
Set up a useful baseline and alert workflow
- Open the official URL and identify the intended page state. Note whether the relevant content requires a choice, login, or interaction. A URL alone may not represent every state a visitor can see.
- Choose the capture scope. Use a full-page comparison for broad layout changes, or select a stable region if surrounding content changes frequently. For wording or document-link changes, use text or element monitoring when available.
- Save the baseline. Capture the page in the state you want to track. Keep the URL and capture date with the screenshot or saved version so later differences have context.
- Set a proportionate check frequency. There is no established universally correct interval for AMC pages. Choose a cadence that fits the importance of the change, then confirm that the service can access the page and that its saved capture is legible.
- Review every alert against the official page. Record the alert date, URL, screenshot or version, and a brief description. Treat an alert as a prompt to inspect, not proof that a material disclosure changed.
- Preserve the evidence. Keep dated captures and notes together so you can compare versions and distinguish a transient rendering issue from a persistent page change.
Distill’s change-history documentation describes reviewing version history and highlighted differences. It also notes that remote-browser access can encounter problems; local monitoring or configuration changes may be needed in some cases.

Separate routine NAV updates from meaningful page changes
AMFI says scheme NAVs are published daily on the respective mutual-fund websites and AMFI’s website, and that open-ended NAVs are declared after markets close. A changing NAV figure is therefore expected data movement; by itself, it is not evidence of a page redesign or a disclosure change. See AMFI’s NAV explanation.

Troubleshoot missed or noisy alerts
- The monitor saves a blank or incomplete page: Confirm that the URL loads in an ordinary browser and that any required choice or interaction is represented in the monitored state. Change the configuration or try a local browser monitor if remote access is failing.
- You receive frequent alerts for changing values: Narrow the capture to a stable section or apply text/element filters if the service supports them. Daily NAV movement can be expected.
- The screenshot differs from what you see: Check whether the service is capturing the same page state, including any interaction or login requirement, and inspect the current official page manually.
- An alert appears significant but may be transient: Compare the saved versions, revisit the official URL, and confirm that the difference persists before describing it as a change.
- A page cannot be accessed remotely: Try the monitor’s documented configuration options or local-browser mode where available. Do not assume any service works on every AMC site without testing that exact URL.
Disclosure context and limits
SEBI’s resource page is a directory to relevant AMFI information and investor resources; it is a useful starting point for locating official pages, not a substitute for checking the particular scheme’s current documents. A SEBI-hosted December 2024 scheme-information document includes disclosure language about periodic Scheme Summary Documents and website publication. That document is specific to its scheme context and should not be treated as a complete current rule statement for every fund; consult current SEBI materials and the relevant scheme documents for the applicable requirements.
No cited source establishes how often Indian AMC pages change or demonstrates that a particular monitor reliably works across those sites. Run a trial on the exact URL, page state, and region you intend to track, then manually verify important alerts.
