How Much Does Hosted Website Screenshot Monitoring Cost per Page?

There is no single market-wide per-page price for hosted website screenshot monitoring. Vendor listings accessed on October 3, 2026 show examples ranging from $8 per 1,000 page captures to subscriptions priced by monitored pages or monthly checks. Those units are different, so comparing headline prices without matching what gets counted can be misleading.

Published prices use different billing units

The prices below are vendor-published listings accessed on October 3, 2026. They are examples, not a market average, and may change. A “page,” “check,” and “screenshot” do not necessarily mean the same billable event.

Service Published price and allowance What the unit covers
PixelHawk Free for 1 monitored page; Starter $20/month for 25 pages; Pro $49/month for 100 pages; Business $99/month for 300 pages. The page also lists annual billing at $16.67, $40.83, and $82.50 per month, billed yearly. Plans list scheduled checks; paid-plan schedules are daily. Plan features vary, including history, manual runs, screen widths, environments, seats, login support, and integrations.
WebChange Detector Free: 10 checks; Micro: $9/month for 300; Solo: $17/month for 1,000; Team: $45/month for 3,000; Studio: $85/month for 6,000; Scale: $270/month for 20,000. Prices exclude tax. One check is one page at one screen size. Desktop plus mobile for the same URL counts as two checks. Allowances reset monthly and do not roll over.
Apify Website Screenshot & Visual Change Monitor From $8 per 1,000 page captures. Charges per page captured on every run, including pages suppressed from output because they are unchanged. Failed-to-load pages are not charged. This is a community-maintained Apify actor listing, not an Apify-operated monitoring product.
ScanU Pro: €19/month for 3,000 screenshot credits; Pro+: €29/month for 10,000; Max: €49/month for 50,000. VAT may apply. One credit is one screenshot of one page, one device, and one browser.
Verivisor Free lists 50 screenshots monthly; Pro lists 1,000 screenshots monthly for $24/month. The pricing page labels the free plan “£0 / month”; verify the currency presentation before relying on that detail.
SiteRender.ai Flat monthly subscription; readable plan amounts were not stated on the accessible pricing page. Plan determines page count and crawl depth; the listed model has no credits or per-check fees.

Subscription amounts are not directly comparable to a per-capture rate: the subscription may buy monitored URLs, checks, or a bundle of other features. An allowance’s nominal value is useful only if it matches the captures you intend to run.

Estimate your monthly capture volume first

Start with the number of URLs, then account for how often each is captured and how many device, viewport, or browser combinations are included. A page captured once daily at one viewport produces roughly 30 monthly captures. If desktop and mobile are each billed separately, that becomes about 60 checks; four separately billed viewports would produce about 120 captures per URL per month. These are arithmetic examples based on the vendors’ stated billing units, not market-wide usage statistics.

  1. Count monitored URLs. Distinguish the number of pages in a monitored site from the number of captures your plan includes.
  2. Choose a schedule. Daily monitoring is roughly 30 runs per page per month; more frequent checks raise usage-based costs. Weekly monitoring is roughly four to five runs per page per month.
  3. Multiply by capture variants. Count each viewport, device, browser, or environment separately if the vendor bills it as another check or screenshot.
  4. Add manual and recovery runs. Confirm whether on-demand captures, retries, or checking a staging environment consume the same allowance.
  5. Compare the result with the quota. For subscriptions, divide the monthly fee by the captures you expect to use—not merely by the URL limit—to estimate your effective cost per expected capture.

What changes the real cost per page

How a provider defines a page

A monitored URL may be a subscription limit, while a usage-based provider may charge for each successful capture. A screenshot credit can also mean one page on one device in one browser. Read the unit definition before converting a displayed price to a per-page figure.

Schedule and viewport count

More frequent runs increase usage when billing is per capture. Multiple screen sizes may multiply checks: WebChange Detector explicitly counts one URL on desktop and mobile as two checks, while ScanU defines a credit by page, device, and browser. PixelHawk’s plans also vary by screen widths and scheduled-check options.

Features beyond the capture allowance

Compare retained history, manual runs, alerts, integrations, team seats, login support for protected pages, and environment limits. A lower headline price may not include the functions your workflow needs. Check whether listed prices exclude tax or may incur VAT, and confirm the currency and billing period.

Unchanged pages and failed captures

Billing treatment differs. The Apify community actor listing says captured pages are charged even if unchanged pages are suppressed from output, while pages that fail to load are not charged. Confirm the same rules directly for any plan you consider; do not assume an unchanged or failed capture is free.

How to compare plans without a misleading average

  • Match the billing unit: URL, check, screenshot, or successful capture.
  • Use the same monthly schedule and number of viewport/device/browser combinations for every option.
  • Separate monthly subscription cost from an effective per-capture estimate, and use the captures you expect to consume.
  • Account for history, alerts, access controls, environments, team features, and manual runs.
  • Verify current quotas, tax/VAT, currency, rollover rules, and failed-capture billing on the provider’s own pricing page before purchase.

Because the published examples bundle different limits and features, a single average would obscure the differences rather than help estimate a real monitoring bill.

Where ScreenshotNeo fits

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a hosted visual-change monitoring subscription: its published facts do not establish scheduled monitoring, saved baselines, or change alerts. It can be an alternative to try first when the requirement is to capture pages through an API or AI agent, rather than buy a managed monitoring plan. Its API pricing is $0 for 1,000 shots monthly, $5 for 3,000, $15 for 15,000, $39 for 60,000, $99 for 250,000, and $249 for 1,000,000; annual billing gives two months free. The publisher states all features are available on every plan. These are screenshot API allowances, not prices for hosted visual monitoring.

ScreenshotNeo says cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets can be removed before capture, and that bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed. It also offers an MCP server for AI agents including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for details. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.
