In Modern Warfare III, use Challenges > Weapons to see camo progress across supported weapons. For one weapon, open Loadout > Gunsmith > Customize > Camo. Keep Multiplayer and Zombies progress separate in your notes: their challenge families and requirements differ.
Where to see camo challenge progress
Overview across weapons
Open the top-right menu, select Challenges, then choose Weapons. The official Call of Duty camo guide identifies this as the in-game view for camo progress across supported weapons.

One weapon at a time
To inspect a specific weapon, go to Loadout > Gunsmith > Customize > Camo. Check this view against the overview when you need to confirm a weapon’s current camo state.
How to track Multiplayer and Zombies separately
Use one entry per weapon and record the exact challenge condition displayed in-game. A spreadsheet or paper checklist is enough; the fields below help prevent a requirement from one mode or weapon being mistaken for another.

MWII camo challenges and mastery progression carry forward into MWIII, according to the official guide and MWIII launch communications. That carry-forward does not make the challenge conditions interchangeable: verify the mode and weapon shown for each entry.
Before and after a play session
- Before playing: Open Challenges > Weapons and identify the weapon and camo tier you intend to work on.
- Read the live requirement: Check the individual weapon under Loadout > Gunsmith > Customize > Camo. Use the current in-game text rather than a remembered or copied condition.
- Track only matching actions: Note the mode and exact condition alongside the progress shown. Requirements can vary by weapon and category; mastery tiers can add weapon- or mode-specific actions.
- Confirm completion in-game: Reopen the weapon’s camo screen and verify the displayed unlock state.
What to check if progress seems stuck
First compare the action you completed with the exact challenge wording, including the weapon and mode. If they match but the displayed progress does not change, consult current Call of Duty patch notes. Official MWIII patch notes document historical fixes to camo challenge tracking and criteria. Those past fixes show that tracking defects or changed requirements can occur; they do not establish that a particular current challenge is bugged.

Can an external tracker sync progress?
The official materials cited here document in-game progress views, not an official external tracker that synchronizes camo progress across modes. Treat third-party trackers as manual checklists unless their current syncing capability is independently verified, and confirm unlocks in-game.
