To test a site against an OPPO A-series phone in Chrome, open DevTools, turn on the device toolbar, and enter the handset’s CSS viewport width and height in Responsive mode—or create a reusable custom device profile. First identify the exact OPPO model and regional variant: A-series phones do not share one screen size, and a manufacturer’s display resolution is not automatically the browser viewport size. Set mobile touch behavior and device pixel ratio (DPR) as needed, check breakpoints and interactions, then verify on the actual phone when fidelity matters.
Why there is no single OPPO A-series screen size
OPPO A-series is a family, not one device profile. Manufacturer specifications illustrate the range: OPPO Egypt lists the CPH2631 variant of the A60 with a 6.67-inch display at 1604 × 720 pixels; OPPO Global describes the A93 with a 6.43-inch, 2400 × 1080 screen; and OPPO India’s December 2020 A15s announcement specifies a 6.52-inch HD+ display. These are distinct models and markets, not interchangeable browser settings. OPPO Egypt’s A60 specifications, OPPO Global’s A93 page, and OPPO India’s A15s announcement identify those examples.

The resolution printed in a specification describes the physical display panel. DevTools needs logical CSS viewport dimensions, and DPR describes the relationship between CSS pixels and device pixels. Do not convert a panel resolution or diagonal measurement into an exact viewport/DPR pair by assumption. Confirm the exact regional SKU and obtain its browser viewport and DPR from the device or authoritative model-specific browser data.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteSet up the site in Chrome’s device toolbar
- Open the page you want to test in Chrome, then open DevTools. Use the DevTools action bar’s Toggle device toolbar control.
- In the toolbar, use Responsive mode and enter the target’s CSS viewport width and height. You can also drag the viewport edges for exploratory checks.
- To reuse a known configuration, open the device list, choose Edit, and add a custom device with a clear name and the confirmed width and height. DPR, user agent, and device type can also be set in the profile.
- Choose Mobile when you need touch events as well as a mobile viewport. Chrome’s Mobile (no touch) option keeps mobile rendering but uses click events. Set DPR when testing density-dependent CSS or image assets.
Chrome’s workflow and available controls are documented in its Device mode guide.

Test breakpoints, touch behavior, and landscape
Check breakpoint boundaries
Turn on the media-query display in the device toolbar and inspect the breakpoints that appear. Click a breakpoint to move to its width and inspect the matching CSS declaration. Also test just above and below each breakpoint used by your layout: a page that looks right at one width can still fail at a boundary.
If you have not confirmed a particular OPPO model’s viewport yet, Chrome’s generic width presets can provide a responsive smoke test. Its documented widths include Mobile S at 320px, Mobile M at 375px, Mobile L at 425px, Tablet at 768px, Laptop at 1024px, Laptop L at 1440px, and 4K at 2560px. These are generic test widths, not verified OPPO A-series profiles. Chrome’s Device mode documentation lists the presets.

Exercise real page flows
- Switch device type to Mobile and try menus, carousels, form controls, and other touch-dependent interactions.
- Rotate to landscape and retest navigation, content overflow, sticky elements, and forms.
- Capture screenshots for visual review or regression notes; do not treat a matching screenshot as proof of identical on-device behavior.
- If performance under constrained conditions matters, use Chrome’s CPU and network throttling. CPU slowdown is relative to the desktop or laptop doing the emulation, not a calibrated measurement of an OPPO handset.
What Chrome emulation can—and cannot—tell you
Chrome Device mode combines a mobile viewport with simulation features such as CPU and network throttling and sensor behavior including geolocation and orientation. It is useful for finding responsive layout problems and checking interaction paths quickly, but it does not reproduce every property of a phone. Chrome describes device mode as “a first-order approximation of how your page looks and feels on a mobile device” and notes that some aspects, including mobile CPU architecture, cannot be simulated. See Chrome’s explanation of Device mode.

Use the actual target phone for final checks where browser version, operating-system behavior, hardware, font rendering, or device performance could affect the result. A custom DevTools profile does not establish that the site behaves identically on ColorOS or every OPPO browser configuration.

Emulation or a real OPPO phone?
| Approach | Best for | What it cannot establish |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome DevTools emulation | Fast viewport changes, breakpoint checks, touch-flow smoke tests, screenshots, and repeatable early testing from a desktop. | Exact handset browser, operating-system, hardware, font-rendering, and performance behavior. |
| Testing on the target phone | Validating the actual browser and device behavior for the specific model and regional variant. | Convenience of instantly switching among many viewport sizes; one phone does not represent every A-series model. |
Use emulation to narrow down layout issues, then test on the exact handset when the behavior depends on real device or software details.

ScreenshotNeo can capture a page through one API request and return an image or PDF. It is not an OPPO device emulator: use DevTools and a real handset for the viewport and hardware validation described above. For visual captures, its clean-shot steps accept cookie and consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with response headers identifying the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server exposes screenshot tools to Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. Free includes 1,000 shots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. See the ScreenshotNeo website and API documentation.

Troubleshooting inaccurate or confusing results
- The page does not look like the phone: Check that you entered CSS viewport dimensions, not panel resolution. Confirm the exact model and regional variant, then validate on the handset.
- Touch menus or controls do not respond as expected: Ensure device type is Mobile, not Mobile (no touch), when testing touch events.
- Images or DPR-based styles look wrong: Set the profile’s DPR to a value confirmed for the target device. Do not infer it from the display’s pixel resolution alone.
- A layout breaks only near a width transition: Inspect media queries and test just on both sides of the breakpoint rather than only at a generic preset.
- Throttled performance seems unlike the phone: Remember that CPU throttling is relative to the host computer. Treat it as a comparative test condition, not a handset performance result.
- Landscape or orientation-dependent UI fails: Rotate the emulated viewport, then repeat the flow on the phone if sensor or operating-system behavior is material.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the A60’s 1604 × 720 resolution as the DevTools width and height?
No. That is the panel resolution listed for the Egypt-market CPH2631. DevTools needs CSS viewport dimensions; establish those and the device’s DPR independently.
Are Chrome’s Mobile S, M, and L presets OPPO screen sizes?
No. They are generic responsive widths—320px, 375px, and 425px—not model-specific OPPO profiles.
Does Chrome DevTools emulate ColorOS exactly?
No. Device mode approximates mobile behavior; use the exact phone for checks that depend on its operating system, browser, hardware, or rendering.
