There is no documented Streamlabs Desktop setting that guarantees a blank-free transition between videos in an embedded YouTube playlist. First compare the Browser Source preview with the outgoing stream: if both show the gap, check the embedded playlist and its autoplay behavior; if only the stream shows it, investigate the scene and source output path.
Find out where the blank appears
- Watch the Browser Source preview around a transition. Note whether the player itself goes blank or whether the whole source disappears.
- Check the outgoing stream at the same moment. If the preview and stream both show the interval, playlist or player behavior is a likely place to investigate. If the preview looks normal but the stream is blank, inspect the selected scene and the source output path.
This comparison is a diagnostic step, not a guaranteed fix. Streamlabs Desktop uses scenes and sources to compose a broadcast, while playback inside a Browser Source depends on the embedded YouTube player.

Check the Browser Source and playlist
Confirm that the source is an embedded playlist
Open the Browser Source properties and verify that its URL points to the intended YouTube playlist embed, rather than a single-video page or a page that stops after one item. YouTube documents how to embed videos and playlists. The displayed content is web content, so the YouTube player—not a special Streamlabs playlist-transition control—handles advancing between playlist videos.

Check autoplay and playlist advancement
YouTube’s embed guidance explains the autoplay=1 parameter for an embedded video player. The YouTube IFrame Player API also documents playlist playback and player events. These controls can help the player advance, but autoplay may be restricted by browser policy, and neither documentation promises a perfectly gapless transition in every Browser Source environment.

What to do if the gap remains
- Record the setup before changing several things at once: Streamlabs Desktop version, operating system, source type and exact source URL, and whether the blank occurs in preview, the outgoing stream, or both.
- If both preview and stream show the interval, focus on the embedded player, playlist configuration, and whether autoplay is allowed in that context.
- If only the outgoing stream shows it, check that the intended scene remains selected and that the Browser Source is present and visible in that scene during the transition.
- If the source itself disappears, distinguish that from a player that remains visible but displays a temporary blank between items; they point to different parts of the setup.
Streamlabs’ Desktop setup documentation describes adding sources to a selected scene, but does not document a universal blank-scene removal switch or a setting that guarantees gapless playlist playback. The available documentation also does not identify one defect that explains every case.

When a local playlist is worth considering
If you own or are otherwise authorized to use local copies of the videos, a local-media playlist is another workflow to try. It may give you different control over transitions and playlist maintenance, but it is not a verified fix and does not guarantee gapless playback. Make sure any media you display publicly is appropriate for that use and that you have the necessary rights.
