Capture and export a full-page screenshot
- Open the web page you want to capture in a supported desktop browser with GoFullPage installed.
- Click the GoFullPage icon in the browser toolbar. In the BETA Chrome listing, you can also use Alt+Shift+P.
- Wait for the extension to scroll through the page and assemble the visible sections. The completed capture opens in a new tab. GoFullPage explains that it must scroll to each visible part to capture the entire page.
- Choose an export format: PNG, JPEG, or PDF. The FAQ says the free version permits downloading screenshots as images or PDFs without stating a count limit. Crop, annotation, and emoji editing are identified as Premium editor tools.
Choose the right export format
- PNG: A lossless image format, useful when fine detail matters.
- JPEG: A compressed image format that may produce a smaller file.
- PDF: A document-style option for sharing or viewing the captured page as a document.
Those are general format characteristics, not results from a comparative quality test. GoFullPage’s listing names PNG, JPEG, and PDF as export options.

What can interrupt or change a capture?
PDFs and custom scrolling
The GoFullPage FAQ says the extension cannot access a PDF document to scroll and capture it like an ordinary web page. If you need the PDF itself, use the browser or PDF viewer’s save or export function. A site that implements scrolling with custom JavaScript can also prevent the normal extension workflow.

If Chrome cannot store an exceptionally large capture as one image, the current BETA listing says GoFullPage reports the issue and splits the result into images in separate tabs.

Pages with embedded frames
Capturing iframe content may prompt GoFullPage to request tabs, webNavigation, and host permissions. According to its permissions article, declining means it will not capture the iframe on that page; ordinary pages without iframes continue to work.
Saving the result
GoFullPage says screenshots reside locally in the extension. Saving them to your computer requires the Downloads permission. Grant that permission if prompted and you want to save a file.

GoFullPage has more than one Chrome Web Store listing, so use the official store rather than an old download link. The BETA Chrome listing reports version 8.9, updated September 29, 2026, and documents the shortcut, formats, and behavior for very tall captures. The original Chrome listing reports version 8.9, updated September 25, 2026; its changelog includes a September 24 Chromium 153 URL-requirement fix and improved dialogs. GoFullPage’s site announced an official Firefox Add-ons release on September 7, 2026, and said on September 1 that it had temporarily pointed Chrome users to the BETA extension. Browser availability and instructions can vary by listing, so confirm you are installing the intended official version.
