In Firefox, open the page’s screenshot tool, choose Save full page, then download the image or copy it. If the bottom is missing, first check that you did not choose Save visible, which captures only the part currently on screen.
Save the entire page in Firefox
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Mozilla’s screenshot instructions describe both ways to open the tool.
- In the screenshot controls, choose Save full page in the upper-right corner. Avoid Save visible if you need content below the browser viewport.
- Choose Download to save a PNG in Firefox’s default download folder, or choose Copy to paste the image into another application.
If you prefer a toolbar button, add the Screenshot button through the Firefox menu: More Tools → Customize Toolbar.

Full page and visible screenshots are different
| Choice | What it captures | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Save full page | The entire webpage, including content beyond the current viewport. | You need the bottom of a long page in the image. |
| Save visible | Only the area currently visible in the browser window. | You need a screenshot of what is on screen now. |
What to check if Firefox cuts off the bottom
Confirm the capture choice
Start by taking another screenshot and checking that Save full page is selected. The two choices capture different extents, and selecting the visible-area option will omit content below the viewport.

If a full-page capture still ends early, you can test whether an extension or theme is involved by temporarily disabling extensions or starting Firefox in its troubleshooting mode, then retrying the same page. Mozilla Support’s archived June 2019 discussion for Firefox 67.0.4 on Windows 10 mentions these checks, but it does not establish a current, universal cause or fix. Restore your usual setup after testing.

Hardware acceleration is only a historical clue
The same archived discussion includes one user who reported improvement on a particular page after disabling hardware acceleration, while still encountering problems with longer pages. That is anecdotal, dated troubleshooting—not a reliable diagnosis or guaranteed fix. If you test the setting, note its original state and restore it if the test does not help.
Very long pages may remain difficult
The historical forum thread also includes comments about possible limits on very long captures and about blank space not necessarily extending to the maximum capture extent. Those observations concern a 2019 troubleshooting case; they do not establish a current Firefox limit or a numeric maximum page height. Mozilla’s current help instructions explain how to capture a full page, but do not identify a specific cause when an individual capture is incomplete.

For a capture you can request through an API, ScreenshotNeo takes a webpage URL and returns an image or PDF. Its cleanup options accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. It also provides an MCP server for AI agents, and the free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
