You can stream a Stardew Valley replay playlist on YouTube by sending prerecorded gameplay through an encoder connected to YouTube Live. The encoder—not YouTube—must handle the playlist order and repeat loop. You can run that encoder on your own computer, or use a cloud service if you want the stream to continue without a computer running at home.
What you need before starting
- A verified YouTube channel that is eligible to live stream. YouTube’s current requirements include no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days and a minimum age of 16. First-time live access can take up to 24 hours to enable; check the channel’s Live Control Room for current eligibility and status. YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and encoder setup guidance.
- Recorded Stardew Valley gameplay videos, preferably your own recordings or material you have permission to use.
- An encoder that can send video to YouTube Live and repeat a playlist. The official YouTube setup explains how to send an encoder feed; it does not provide a universal YouTube-side playlist loop. Check the current documentation for your chosen encoder to confirm its playlist and repeat controls.

Prepare and order your recordings
Choose the files you want viewers to see and arrange them in the desired order in the encoder’s playlist. Check that each file plays correctly and that its audio is present. Use recordings you made or content you are authorized to use; permission to stream your gameplay does not grant rights to other people’s recordings or music.

Turn on playlist repeat in the encoder
Enable the encoder’s own repeat or loop option for the playlist. YouTube receives the outgoing feed; its official encoder instructions do not establish a built-in YouTube control that restarts a prerecorded playlist indefinitely. Confirm your encoder’s current loop behavior, including whether it restarts the playlist after the final file or stops instead.
-
Preview and test before going public
Start the encoder and inspect the YouTube preview. Confirm that video and audio are working, the stream health is acceptable, and transitions between files behave as intended. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring the stream before relying on it for a live event. YouTube live streaming tips for computers.

Protect the archive
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If keeping a YouTube replay matters, plan shorter live sessions and make a local recording backup. See YouTube’s live stream archive guidance.

Stardew Valley permission and YouTube copyright checks
ConcernedApe’s official policy, published May 7, 2021, says: “You can feel free to play Stardew Valley on your streams and videos and also to monetize those streams and videos.” That permission covers Stardew Valley gameplay streams and videos, including monetization; it is not permission to rebroadcast someone else’s replay recording or unrelated third-party material. Read ConcernedApe’s policy.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including another live broadcast. If it detects such content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; unresolved issues can lead to interruption or termination. If you have licensed third-party material, its rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and avoid assuming that a creator’s game policy overrides YouTube enforcement.

A local encoder gives you direct control over files and playlist settings, but the computer, encoder, source files, and internet connection must remain available while it streams. Cloud playback is an alternative when you do not want your own machine to run continuously. Verify that any service you choose supports YouTube streaming and playlist looping before relying on it.

StreamNeo keeps a YouTube stream running from uploaded videos, rather than a live camera. Upload your Stardew recordings, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; StreamNeo loops the videos from the cloud. Nothing has to stay on at home, it supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, then start your free first day.
Quick Recap
Troubleshooting
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification, age eligibility, and live-streaming restrictions in Live Control Room. If you just enabled live streaming, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- YouTube shows no incoming video: Confirm that the encoder has the correct server URL and stream key, and that it is actively sending the playlist. Treat the stream key as sensitive and replace it if you suspect it has been exposed.
- The playlist stops after the last recording: The loop control is an encoder feature. Recheck the encoder’s repeat setting and test what happens at the end of the final file before making the broadcast public.
- Audio or video is missing or a transition fails: Check the affected source file in the encoder, then inspect the YouTube preview and stream health during a test broadcast.
- The stream is interrupted by a copyright warning: Identify the matched material and remove or replace it if you do not have the necessary rights. For licensed third-party content, contact the rights owner about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
- The YouTube replay is missing: Streams over 12 hours may not be captured. For retention, keep sessions below that threshold and record a local backup.
