If you want to listen to an ASMR roleplay playlist continuously, use YouTube’s built-in Loop control. That repeats playback for you; it does not create a public live broadcast. If you want viewers to watch the videos as a continuous live stream, create a YouTube Live stream in YouTube Studio and send it from an encoder. The two options serve different purposes.
Choose between looping playback and a live broadcast

How to loop an ASMR playlist for personal listening
You do not need an encoder, extra service, or special equipment. Start the playlist on the device you plan to use, then turn on its playlist repeat control.

On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box beside the video.
- Click the playlist’s Loop control. Confirm that repeat is enabled.
On a phone or tablet
- Play the playlist in the YouTube app.
- Open the playlist controls and tap Loop.
- Check that the control is set to repeat the whole playlist. Tapping the control again may switch it to repeat only the current video.
On a TV or game console
- Select and play the playlist.
- Open the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the player indicates that the playlist is repeating.
YouTube’s playlist help explains these playback controls for supported devices: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube. App layouts can change, so look for Loop or Repeat in the playlist or playback controls if the labels move.

How to broadcast pre-recorded ASMR videos as a YouTube Live stream
A public continuous broadcast needs a YouTube Live stream and an encoder. An encoder can be streaming software, dedicated hardware, or a cloud service. The core workflow is the same: create the stream in YouTube Studio, connect the encoder using the stream key and server details, check the preview, then go live.

1. Check that your channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. First-time live streaming may take up to 24 hours to become available, so enable and check access before planning a broadcast. See YouTube’s current guidance on getting started with live streaming.
2. Create a stream in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- In Live Control Room, create a stream and set its title, description, audience, and other details accurately for the videos you will show.
- Keep the Live Control Room open so you can monitor the incoming feed and end the stream when needed.
3. Connect your encoder securely
- In the encoder, select YouTube if it offers a direct YouTube connection. Otherwise, copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key from Live Control Room into the encoder’s corresponding fields.
- Start the encoder’s feed and wait for the preview to appear in Live Control Room.
- Check the video and audio in the preview. When they are correct, start the live broadcast from Live Control Room if prompted.
YouTube’s encoder instructions say to enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not publish it, include it in a video, or share an uncensored screenshot. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before continuing.

4. End the broadcast cleanly
When the broadcast is over, stop the encoder’s feed and end the stream in Live Control Room. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume the same automatic archive outcome for a longer stream.

Make the ASMR playlist suitable for a public broadcast
Confirm rights for every element
Only send recordings, music, sound effects, and visuals that you have the rights to use in a live stream. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the channel; if the matched content continues, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. A license does not necessarily prevent that interruption: YouTube says the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review Copyright issues with live streams and confirm any necessary allowlisting with the rights holder before going live.

Do not equate permission with monetization eligibility
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams. In its July 15, 2025 clarification, YouTube renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” and described repetitive or mass-produced material as ineligible for monetization. Reused-content review is separate from copyright: permission to use someone else’s work does not by itself show that a channel meets monetization policy. Make your original contribution and meaningful variation clear, and do not assume that owning or licensing the videos guarantees monetization. See YouTube channel monetization policies.
Keep titles and collections accurate
Playlist content remains subject to YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Misleading titles or descriptions, and collections that violate policy even if individual videos might not do so alone, can create problems. Describe the ASMR roleplay and what viewers will actually hear or see; consult YouTube’s playlist policies.

Troubleshooting continuous playback and live streaming
- The playlist stops at the end. Reopen the playlist controls and confirm Loop or Repeat is enabled for the whole playlist, not just the current video.
- First-time live streaming is unavailable. Check channel verification and any live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Allow up to 24 hours after enabling live streaming for access to become available.
- The encoder feed does not appear in Live Control Room. Confirm that the encoder is connected to YouTube and that its server URL and stream key match the current stream. Start the encoder feed and wait for the preview before trying to go live.
- The stream key may have been exposed. Reset or replace it in YouTube Studio, then update the encoder with the new key. Keep the replacement private.
- YouTube warns, replaces, or interrupts the broadcast. Review the content for third-party matches. Verify that your rights cover live streaming and ask the rights holder whether your channel must be added to the Content ID allowlist.
- You are unsure whether a video can earn revenue. Check YouTube’s inauthentic- and reused-content rules separately from copyright permissions. A license alone is not a monetization guarantee.
