Yes—you can stream a rain ambience video to YouTube over JioFiber if the connection, computer, encoder, router, and power at your location can sustain the broadcast. A plan’s advertised speed does not prove that your home has reliable upload capacity around the clock. Test the actual setup at the quality you intend to use, leave upload headroom, and plan separately for interruptions and replay recording.
What you need before starting
- A verified YouTube channel with live streaming enabled, no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and an account holder who is at least 16. First-time activation can take time, so check eligibility before your planned start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Rain footage and audio that you created or are authorized to use for a livestream, with permission records where applicable.
- A computer and encoder, such as OBS, capable of handling your chosen video, frame rate, audio, and scene complexity.
- A JioFiber connection whose real upload performance, measured from the streaming computer, can sustain the encoder’s bitrate with headroom.
- A plan for power, router, computer, and internet interruptions—and, if a replay matters, a separate local recording.
Jio describes its broadband service at JioFiber, but advertised plan speeds are not a guarantee of sustained upload at a particular home. No universal JioFiber upload guarantee establishes that a continuous livestream will work at every address.

Choose a quality your connection and computer can sustain
Use YouTube’s bitrate figures as encoder starting points, not as promised JioFiber speeds. YouTube’s current H.264 recommendations include:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Video setting | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|
| 240p–720p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps |
| 720p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 10 Mbps |
These are YouTube recommendations, not a guarantee that your connection can sustain them. Measure upload from the computer and network path you will use, and leave operating headroom rather than setting the encoder at the full speed shown by a test. A wired Ethernet connection can reduce local Wi-Fi variability, but it cannot fix upstream congestion or an outage.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
For YouTube’s encoder workflow, use RTMP or RTMPS ingestion; YouTube recommends RTMPS for encrypted transport. The guide lists H.264, H.265, and AV1 video options, up to 60 fps, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate encoding, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval (not over four seconds). Use the current settings table for the codec and resolution you select: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions.
Rain footage may have little motion, but moving leaves, water, transitions, or animated overlays still affect the encode. Test the actual scene and audio rather than assuming a static image will represent the load of your finished programme. OBS warns that meeting its basic requirements does not guarantee streaming performance on a particular computer; see its system requirements.

Set up and test the livestream
- Verify the channel and enable Live. In YouTube, confirm channel verification and live-stream access, and resolve any account restrictions. Do this well before broadcast day.
- Prepare the rain programme. Create or assemble the video and audio loop you intend to show. Check that the loop transitions cleanly and that sound levels are comfortable and consistent. Keep evidence of rights or licenses for every third-party asset.
- Configure the encoder. In OBS or another compatible encoder, add the rain video and audio sources, set the target resolution and frame rate, and choose a bitrate your measured upload can sustain with headroom. Use constant bitrate and a two-second keyframe interval as YouTube recommends; confirm codec-specific settings against YouTube’s current table.
- Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room and create a stream using the encoder workflow. Copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your channel. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and recommends RTMPS.
- Preview before going public. Start the encoder, check the YouTube preview and stream-health messages, and confirm that both picture and sound are correct before making the broadcast public.
- Run a representative test. Test from the same computer, router, connection, bitrate, resolution, frame rate, and programme you will use for the long session. A private or unlisted test can reveal dropped frames, encoding overload, audio problems, or unstable upload. Follow YouTube’s computer livestreaming tips and monitor stream health.
- Start conservatively and monitor. If the stream becomes unstable, reduce bitrate or resolution and test again. Watch both YouTube’s health indicators and the encoder rather than relying on a single speed-test result.
Plan for interruptions and the 12-hour archive limit
A 24/7 broadcast depends on the computer, encoder, router, electricity, and internet all remaining available. If any fails, the livestream can stop; no household connection test proves uninterrupted service for a full day. Arrange someone to monitor or restart the setup if that is important to your channel.
Keeping the feed live and preserving its replay are separate jobs. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends making a local recording backup. If you need a replay, record locally and consider ending and restarting sessions well before the 12-hour boundary rather than expecting one 24-hour archive. See YouTube’s archive guidance. An external SSD is one possible recording destination; required capacity depends on bitrate, duration, and recording format.

Copyright and monetization risks for rain ambience
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can trigger a warning, a placeholder image over the stream, interruption, termination, or a strike. Having a license may not prevent a live interruption if the rights holder has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams explains these risks, and its livestream terms place responsibility for necessary rights on the provider.
Do not assume that a track labelled “royalty-free” is automatically cleared for a YouTube livestream. Confirm that the license covers this use and, where relevant, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. YouTube’s channel monetization policies say highly repetitive or mass-produced content can be ineligible for monetization, including similar videos with minimal variation or little added value. A rain ambience format is not automatically disqualified, but monetization depends on the channel and policy review; do not count on ad revenue.

Troubleshooting common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Stream health reports insufficient bitrate or the stream buffers | The connection cannot sustain the chosen bitrate, or upload performance varies. | Measure upload from the broadcast computer; lower bitrate or resolution; use Ethernet if practical; repeat a representative test and leave more headroom. |
| Encoder reports overload or dropped frames | The computer cannot encode the selected resolution, frame rate, or scene at the chosen settings. | Reduce resolution, frame rate, or scene complexity and test again. Basic system requirements alone do not ensure a given machine can stream reliably. |
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed | The stream URL or key may be wrong, or the channel may not have Live access enabled. | Check the encoder workflow in Live Control Room, recopy the URL and key carefully, keep the key private, and verify channel eligibility. |
| Broadcast is interrupted after a copyright match | Third-party audio or video may have been detected; a license may not include Content ID allowlisting. | Use content you created or have permission to stream, contact the rights holder about allowlisting, and avoid restarting with the same unresolved material. |
| The 24-hour replay is missing or incomplete | YouTube may not capture a livestream exceeding 12 hours. | Record locally and, if the archive is needed, plan shorter sessions with restarts before the 12-hour boundary. |
| Stream stops when power, router, or internet fails | The local setup has lost a required component or connection. | Restore the failed component and restart the encoder; for a long-running channel, decide who will monitor and recover the setup. |
