Confirm the exact Galaxy S6 variant
This advice is for the base Samsung Galaxy S6, not the S6 Edge, Edge+, or Active. Samsung lists the base S6 at 143.4 × 70.5 × 6.8 mm and 138 g. Samsung’s Galaxy S6 specifications can help distinguish the handset, but the bare-phone dimensions do not include a case.

Measure with the case installed
Compare the phone-plus-case against the armband’s stated internal dimensions. A listing that names “Galaxy S6” does not by itself confirm clearance for a bulky case, and a screen-size match is not a reliable substitute for checking the pouch dimensions. The available running-armband fit guide likewise distinguishes phone compatibility from case-on fit.
Reseat the phone and adjust the strap
- Seat the phone securely. Place it fully into the pocket so it is not riding loosely or caught at an angle.
- Thread and adjust the strap through its buckle or loop. The TRIBE AB66 manual recommends a firm, comfortable fit to limit movement; it does not call for tightening to the point of discomfort. See the TRIBE AB66 manual.
- Check the fit while moving. Walk and jog briefly before settling into your run. If the band shifts, stop and readjust rather than tightening until it pinches or restricts movement.
Thick cases or screen protectors can also interfere with touchscreen operation through a clear cover, according to the TRIBE manual. If the screen is difficult to use, check whether the case or protector is the obstruction rather than assuming the phone is seated incorrectly.

If it still slips, assess the strap and consider another fit
A strap that is loose, positioned poorly, or stretched out may not hold the phone securely. If replacing it, check that the listing names the base Galaxy S6, gives a useful arm-circumference range, and explains its adjustment method. One retailer listing specifies 22–40 cm, but that is a seller-provided sizing range, not evidence that the band will prevent bounce for every runner. Check the listing details and verify current availability, case clearance, and return terms before buying.
Two listing-based options identify Galaxy S6 compatibility: the Armpocket Ultra i-35 and the TRIBE AB66. Armpocket calls its fit “No-slip,” which is manufacturer wording rather than an independent running test. Compatibility claims do not establish a stable fit on a particular arm.

i2 Gear describes an adjustable neoprene armband and recommends removing bulky cases; its page uses the model name S6-AB, though the product naming is not fully consistent. If the armband continues to move after adjustment, a different carrying format, such as a phone belt, may suit you better, but there is no evidence here that a belt works better for every runner. Product pages and manuals do not provide controlled comparisons of bounce, slip resistance, comfort, sweat protection, or touchscreen behavior, so no option can be called a tested winner.
