Why the clues matter
Silent Hill: Townfall is a first-person psychological horror game set in Scotland in 1996. Its puzzles are intended to carry story information, not just block progress: in a PlayStation feature, Screen Burn Interactive writer and director Jon McKellan said the puzzles were developed alongside the story and can reveal more about Simon’s situation. This Part 6 sequence is a late-game puzzle, and enemies may be present on the route to the room. The following solution is based on PC Gamer’s walkthrough, which warns that it contains spoilers. PC Gamer’s auxiliary-lines guide provides the code, clue interpretation, and first line.

- In the command centre, enter 0825 on the locker to get the auxiliary-room key.
- Reach the auxiliary room and account for enemies along the way.
- Open the room’s locker and take the floppy disk. Use it at the terminal to view the instructions.
- Read the disk’s three rows as lever groups: the first row applies to levers beside one white line, the second to those beside two lines, and the third to those beside three lines.
- For auxiliary line 1, set the levers in order to: vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical. The light beside the final lever should turn green when the line is correct.
The available walkthrough details only the first line’s orientations here; don’t infer the later lines from this sequence. Read their instructions from the disk in your game.

Richard’s case can change
The guide says the code for Richard’s case (Box 36) changes between playthroughs, reporting both 486 and 597. Use the Complete Grid of Codes in your own game rather than treating either number as universal.

Trust your in-game monitors for control-room IDs
Guide transcriptions of some control-room IDs conflict. Read the value from your own CCTV feed or live monitor when it is shown there. A code may also remain unavailable until you have inspected the clue or item linked to it.

When a correct-looking solution does not work
- Recheck the clue first. Documents may specify the order or settings a puzzle needs; the walkthroughs also note that certain codes unlock only after the relevant clue or item has been inspected.
- Check every interaction at a locked door. In a Creative Bloq review, the reviewer was confused by a door that required both a key-card scan and a separate keypad entry. That is one reviewer’s experience, not evidence of a universal bug.
- Compare the screen, not just a guide transcription. For changing case codes, control-room IDs, or projector labels, use the evidence in your own playthrough.
- Try the CRTV where a signal seems relevant. It can offer hints, though the available sources do not establish it as a solution tool for every puzzle.
What is known about puzzle difficulty
Difficulty appears uneven in the available accounts: Creative Bloq’s reviewer describes a blood-bag and IV puzzle that required an injury document, then a separate blood-type and initials deduction. That is a qualitative account, not a measured rating. The reviewed sources do not establish a puzzle-difficulty statistic or player completion rate, so claims that the puzzles are objectively among the series’ hardest would go beyond the evidence.
Konami lists the game for PlayStation 5 and PC, including Steam and the Epic Games Store, and gives 24 September 2026 as the release date on its official product page. Those platform details do not establish whether a physical retail edition is available.
