The quickest way to share a Nasdara location is to place a custom pin in the WOBO DayZ Map Tool, copy the updated URL, and send that link to your squad. The link can open the same pins, map position, zoom, filters, displayed areas, and routes. A recipient can then choose Save as My Pins if they want the shared locations in their own personal pin set.
For persistent group collaboration, NasdaraMap.com uses a group code and shared markers. The Survival Servers Badlands map offers a simpler Share map link that preserves the current map view and pins. The right method depends on whether you need a portable one-time link, a personal bookmark, or a marker set that several players can maintain together.

What “bookmarking” means on a Nasdara map
There are two different ways to keep a location, and confusing them causes most sharing problems:

- Personal map pins: A custom pin is stored by the map tool in the current device and browser. It remains part of your personal pin set until you replace or remove it.
- A browser bookmark: Saving the map page as a browser bookmark saves the URL, including the map state encoded in that URL. It is useful for returning to a particular view, but it is not the same as importing another player’s pins into your personal set.
A shared URL is portable: another player can open it and see the state encoded in the link. To make those pins part of that player’s own personal collection, the player must use the map’s Pins menu and select Save as My Pins. That action replaces the current personal custom-pin set with the shared set, so it should be used deliberately.

Share a location with WOBO’s Nasdara map
1. Open the correct map
- Open the WOBO DayZ Map Tool.
- Select Nasdara from the map selection controls.
- Wait for the map tiles and controls to finish loading before placing pins. If the map is still changing position while you click, the pin may be placed somewhere other than the intended landmark.
Use the map’s normal pan and zoom controls to frame the area first. You can share a single point or prepare a complete squad plan with several points before copying the link.
2. Activate Custom Pin
Select the pin-shaped Custom Pin tool. WOBO’s documentation also lists Alt+Z as a shortcut for activating it. On a keyboard, the shortcut is useful when you are repeatedly switching between map navigation and pin placement. On a phone or tablet, use the visible pin icon because keyboard shortcuts are not available.
3. Place the pin
- With Custom Pin active, click the desired location on a desktop browser.
- Tap the location on a touch device if the map presents the pin tool as a touch action.
- Repeat the placement process for each location you want to send.
Place pins on the actual feature you want teammates to find rather than on a nearby road or grid line. If a point needs explanation, use the pin’s available label or note fields when the map provides them. A practical squad set might include a meeting point, a medical location, a vehicle spawn, a dangerous approach, and an extraction route.

When a custom pin is added, WOBO updates the page URL to encode the pin location. This URL is the sharing object; you do not need to take a screenshot or manually copy coordinates.
- Place all required pins.
- Use the map’s copy/share icon, or select the address bar and copy the complete URL.
- Paste the link into your squad chat, direct message, or voice-chat text channel.
Copy the link after the final pin and after setting the map view you want people to open. If you pan, zoom, add a route, or change filters afterward, copy the URL again so the latest state is included.
5. Have teammates open the link
When a teammate opens the URL, the map can restore the shared custom pins together with the encoded position and zoom. Depending on the state you shared, it can also restore selected filters, displayed areas, coordinates, and routes. This gives everyone an interactive map rather than a fixed image: each person can zoom, pan, inspect the underlying map, and follow a route.

If a teammate sees the map but not the expected pins, ask them to open the complete URL rather than a shortened or line-wrapped copy. Messaging apps sometimes break long links when they are copied from formatted text. Re-send the URL as plain text if necessary.

Opening a shared link shows the shared set temporarily. To keep those locations in the recipient’s own collection:
- Open the shared map link.
- Open the Pins menu.
- Select Save as My Pins.
- Confirm the replacement if the interface asks for confirmation.
Save as My Pins replaces the current personal custom-pin set with the shared set. It is not an additive merge. If the recipient has important personal pins, they should preserve them first by keeping their original map link or exporting them through a tool that supports export.
To return to the original personal set after viewing a shared set, open the Pins menu and select Show My Pins. This switches the display back to the device’s original personal pins.
Bookmark a Nasdara location for later
Bookmark one shared map state in your browser
After you place the desired pin or pins and set the view, copy the updated URL or use the browser’s normal bookmark command. Give the bookmark a descriptive name such as “North convoy route” or “Airfield medical cache.” Because the location is encoded in the URL, opening that browser bookmark later can return you to the saved map state.
A browser bookmark is best for a named snapshot: it records the pins and view represented by that particular link. If you later add another pin, change a route, or alter filters, the existing bookmark does not automatically update. Create a new bookmark or replace the old one after making those changes.

Keep a personal pin set on the same device
WOBO’s custom pins are saved by the device and browser. This is convenient for a regular player who always uses the same browser, but it is not the same as a cloud account that automatically follows you to every device. Clearing site data, changing browsers, using a private window, or moving to another device can leave you without the original local pin set.
For that reason, keep a shareable URL for any important collection. The URL is the portable backup and can also be sent to another member of the squad. If you change devices, open that link on the new device and use Save as My Pins when you want the pins to become the new device’s personal set.
What a WOBO share link can carry
WOBO’s map documentation describes the share link as more than a point marker. It can include the following map state:

| Routes | Shares a planned path when it was created with the Path Tool. |
The Path Tool has its own Share control. Use it after drawing the route to copy a link that teammates can open for the same path. A route link is especially useful when a squad needs to agree on an approach, fallback path, or extraction line rather than merely identify a destination.
WOBO pin limits and replacement behavior
A single WOBO link can carry up to 100 custom pins. That is enough for a large operation plan, but a squad should still keep separate links for unrelated activities. For example, one link for a north-coast supply run and another for a southern convoy is easier to read and less likely to be overwritten by an accidental update.

- Opening a link displays the pins encoded in that link.
- Save as My Pins replaces the recipient’s personal set with the shared set.
- Show My Pins returns to the original personal set on that device and browser.
Do not ask every squad member to save every temporary link. For a one-off raid, opening the URL is usually enough. Save the set only when the player needs it to remain available after the shared activity.

A reliable squad workflow with WOBO
- Assign one map owner. Have one player prepare the initial pin set so the group does not circulate several conflicting versions.
- Use meaningful locations. Put pins on exact buildings, road junctions, or terrain features and label them consistently.
- Set context before sharing. Turn on the filters, displayed area, zoom, and route that the squad needs.
- Copy after the final edit. The URL reflects the state at the time it is copied.
- Send a short description with the link. State what the pins represent and whether players should only open the link or choose Save as My Pins.
- Keep the original link. It is the easiest recovery option if a device loses its local pins.
For an evolving operation, issue a new link when the plan changes materially. Include a simple version label in the message, such as “Route A – updated,” so players do not rely on an older map state.

NasdaraMap.com takes a group-based approach instead of relying only on a portable URL. Its My markers feature lets you create a group and send a group code to friends. Create and share a marker group
- Open NasdaraMap.com and locate the My markers controls.
- Create a group.
- Give the group code to your squad through a trusted chat channel.
- Have each player join with that code and open the shared marker view.
To add a marker, right-click the map on a desktop browser. On a touch device, long-press the map. Use the marker’s available naming and color options to distinguish rendezvous points, danger zones, resources, and objectives.
Back up or transfer markers with Export and Import
NasdaraMap.com provides Export and Import controls. Export the marker data before reorganizing a group or moving to another device. Import the saved data when you need to restore or transfer it. This gives the group a data backup in addition to the joinable group code.

That browser-local behavior is useful for privacy and quick access, but it also means players should treat exported marker data as the backup when the information matters.
Use the Survival Servers map for straightforward link sharing
The Survival Servers Badlands map includes a pin workflow designed for quick sharing. Drop a pin, give it a name, choose a color, and use Share map. The resulting link preserves the map view and pins so squad members can open the same setup.
This option is a good fit when the group needs a simple shared view and does not require WOBO’s pin-set switching or NasdaraMap.com’s group-code model. Use descriptive names and consistent colors because the value of a shared link depends on teammates understanding what each pin means.

Troubleshooting shared Nasdara locations
The recipient sees the map but no pins
- Confirm that the sender copied the URL after placing the pins.
- Ask the recipient to open the full link, not a truncated line from a chat preview.
- Have the recipient refresh the page after the map finishes loading.
- Check that the sender did not copy an older browser bookmark created before the pin was added.
The recipient wants to keep the pins
Opening the link alone displays the shared set. The recipient must open the Pins menu and select Save as My Pins. Warn them that this replaces their current personal custom-pin set. They should retain their original personal link if they may need those pins later.
Your personal pins disappeared after saving a shared set
Use Show My Pins in the Pins menu to return to the original personal set. If the expected pins do not return, reopen the original personal URL or the browser bookmark that represented that set. Avoid clearing browser data until important pin collections have been preserved in a link.
The map opens at the wrong area or zoom
Ask the sender to recopy the link after moving to the intended area and zoom level. WOBO links can preserve map position and zoom, but the URL must be copied after those settings are finalized. A recipient who manually clicks a different map link before loading the shared one may also be viewing a different state.
A route is missing
Routes need to be shared through the Path Tool’s Share control. A link copied before the route was created will not contain the later path. Recreate or reopen the route, use Share, and send the newly copied link.
A browser change removed personal pins
WOBO personal custom pins are tied to the device and browser storage. Check the original browser first, then open a saved share URL on the new browser and choose Save as My Pins if that URL contains the required set. For future operations, retain a current link whenever the pin collection changes.

- Verify that the player joined the correct group code.
- Confirm that the marker was added to the group view rather than a separate personal view.
- Ask the player to reload the map after joining.
- If the group data was moved between devices, use the exported marker file and the site’s Import control.
Why a shared interactive link beats a screenshot
A screenshot freezes one zoom level and one moment in time. A map link can open the same pins while allowing each player to inspect nearby roads, terrain, buildings, and map categories. WOBO can also carry filters, routes, coordinates, displayed areas, and zoom. That makes the link a working planning artifact: the squad can use it during preparation, open it again during play, and create a new version when the plan changes.
Use a screenshot only as a supplementary visual when a chat client cannot open links or when you need a quick reference during a connection problem. Keep the interactive URL as the authoritative version of the plan.
