Set the capture viewport with the viewport option
Cloudinary’s URL2PNG add-on captures a public website through a dynamic Cloudinary transformation URL. Set the delivery type to url2png, use the website URL as the public ID, then add the options segment with the viewport dimensions.

The option format is viewport=<width>x<height>. For a 1280-pixel-wide by 720-pixel-high capture, the value is viewport=1280x720.

Replace <cloud_name> and <website-url> with values for your Cloudinary account and target site. The exact delivery URL may depend on your account and target public ID, and may require a signature or eager generation. This pattern is illustrative, not a guaranteed ready-to-use URL.

Check Cloudinary’s example carefully
Cloudinary’s documentation describes a viewport of 640x1135 in its prose, but the example URL uses viewport=640x1136. Those heights differ by one pixel. The documented format is width followed by height; choose and enter the height you actually want rather than assuming the two example values are interchangeable. Meet the add-on and delivery requirements
- Register for the URL2PNG add-on in your Cloudinary account.
- Set the delivery type to
url2pngand use the target website URL as the public ID. - Append the URL2PNG options segment, including
viewport=<width>x<height>, with your desired dimensions. - Use the resulting URL according to your account’s security settings: by default, add-on transformation URLs must be signed or eagerly generated.
Cloudinary says you can optionally allow unsigned add-on transformations through the Console Security setting. If you enable that option, follow the account’s security requirements; do not assume unsigned delivery is enabled by default. The generated screenshot is cached and delivered through Cloudinary’s CDN.

Capture dimensions are not output resizing
The viewport value sets the dimensions of the website capture request. It is not the same as resizing or cropping the screenshot after capture. If you need a smaller image or a crop, apply a later Cloudinary image transformation. Cloudinary documents, for example, making a 150×200 thumbnail from a full-size screenshot; that output size does not change the original capture viewport.
