Do you need to install PrimeOS on the Primebook 3 Max?
No. Primebook describes PrimeOS 3.0 as its custom-built operating system for Primebook laptops, so this is a first-use setup rather than an installation of a separate OS image. The Primebook 3 Max is listed with a MediaTek Genio 720 processor, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display. Primebook’s FAQ and its PrimeOS 3.0 information describe the laptop-focused operating system.

How to get through first boot
- Connect power. Place the laptop on a stable surface and connect the adapter supplied with your particular unit before you begin.
- Follow your device’s prompts. Use the on-screen instructions for initial settings and network connection. The available Primebook documentation does not identify the exact first-run screens for this model, so labels and sequence may differ from other Android devices.
- Review account or app-store requests. If a prompt asks you to sign in or choose an account, read its explanation and select the account you intend to use. Do not assume that a particular account step is required unless your device says so.
- Reach the desktop and check for updates. Open system settings and look for available updates. If one is offered, use a reliable network and keep the laptop connected to power until it finishes. The official information cited here does not specify an exact menu path or update schedule.
Primebook says charger types can differ among Primebook variants, and its published information here does not establish a Primebook 3 Max-specific connector or wattage. Use the included adapter; for a replacement or compatibility question, confirm the requirements with Primebook support rather than choosing a charger by appearance alone.
Connect the apps and accounts you actually use
Primebook describes PrimeOS as including an app store and file manager, with support for native Android apps and select Linux apps. Once setup is complete, install the apps you need for study, work or entertainment, and review each app’s permission requests before granting access. Availability and functions can vary by app.

Save important documents in a folder you can find easily, and use the file manager to locate downloads or move files. Primebook lists 128GB UFS storage for the 3 Max and microSD expansion up to 1TB in its comparison of the Primebook 2 Max and 3 Max. Those are manufacturer-listed specifications, not a guarantee that every card or app will work in every configuration.
Set up the laptop-style workspace
PrimeOS 3.0 is designed for laptop-style navigation, with a taskbar, keyboard and trackpad support, and multi-window use. Primebook says windows can be resized and arranged side by side. Spend a few minutes opening two apps you use often, positioning them for your workflow, and locating the file manager and browser from the desktop. This makes it easier to move between a class or meeting, notes, documents and email.

Primebook describes everyday use cases that include browsing, classes, documents, spreadsheets, email and coding. It also says the system supports select Linux apps, but does not establish that every desktop application or workflow is supported. For a task that depends on a specific program, check that program’s availability and requirements before relying on the laptop for it.
Know when a task needs cloud access
Primebook describes PrimeX Cloud PC as a way to access supported Windows and Linux environments virtually. That is distinct from running every Windows program locally on the Primebook 3 Max: cloud access depends on service availability and a network connection. Check the service’s current availability and supported applications if a Windows-only workflow is essential.
