To set up the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, connect its supplied LIGHTSPEED receiver through the extension adapter, switch on the mouse, install Logitech G HUB, and then open the device’s HITS Configuration panel. From there you can adjust click actuation, Rapid Trigger, click haptics, DPI and report rate. Keep the receiver within 20 cm of the mouse and more than 2 m from strong 2.4 GHz interference sources for the wireless connection Logitech specifies.
The mouse’s setup is unusual because its HITS system lets you change how far a click must travel, how quickly it resets, and how strongly each click is felt. The controls are adjustable rather than tied to one universal setting, so the reliable approach is to begin around the middle of each range, test in a familiar game, and change one control at a time.

What you need before connecting the mouse
Lay out the supplied components before plugging anything in. The package contains:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- The Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE mouse.
- A USB charging/data cable.
- A LIGHTSPEED wireless receiver already installed in an extension adapter.
- Optional grip tape.
- A surface-preparation cloth for applying the grip tape.
- An optional POWERPLAY aperture door with a foot.
The receiver is not a separate loose dongle in the box: it is supplied inside the extension adapter. The extension adapter connects to the USB cable, and the receiver connects to the adapter. The mouse can also store the receiver internally. To do that, remove the POWERPLAY aperture door and place the receiver in the storage area, then refit the door when you are transporting the mouse.

Have an available USB port on the computer and keep the mouse close to the receiver during first setup. If the supplied cable is missing or damaged, the setup materials directly establish only the use of a compatible USB charging/data cable as the replacement path.
Connect the receiver and switch on the mouse
- Insert the USB charging/data cable into a USB port on the PC.
- Attach the supplied extension adapter to the free end of that cable.
- Leave the LIGHTSPEED receiver connected to the extension adapter. It arrives installed there.
- Place the receiver on the desk near the mouse rather than behind the computer or under a desk.
- Move the mouse’s power switch to the on position.
- Move the mouse within 20 cm of the receiver while you check the connection.
This arrangement gives the receiver a short, clear path to the mouse. Logitech’s setup guide specifies use within 20 cm of the receiver and more than 2 m from 2.4 GHz interference sources such as Wi-Fi routers. The distance requirement is especially relevant if the receiver is currently beside a router, wireless access point or another high-power 2.4 GHz device.
The receiver and adapter are the normal wireless operating path; the cable is also used to charge the mouse. If the mouse does not respond after the switch is on, do not begin software configuration yet. First confirm that the cable, extension adapter and receiver are all connected in that order.
Install the current Logitech G HUB software
Download Logitech G HUB from logitechG.com/GHUB. Logitech identifies G HUB as the current configuration software for the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE. Logitech Gaming Software is legacy software for newer devices, so use G HUB rather than relying on an older installation.
- Install and launch G HUB after connecting the receiver and turning on the mouse.
- Wait for the mouse to appear in G HUB’s device view.
- Select the mouse to open its settings.
- Choose HITS Configuration.
If G HUB does not show the mouse, close the configuration step and work through the receiver checks in the troubleshooting section below. Configuration controls are available only after G HUB has detected the device.
Read the mouse’s status LEDs
The LED provides two useful power indications during setup:

- Pulsing green while connected by cable: the mouse is charging.
A red flash is a charging prompt rather than a wireless-pairing mode. Connect the USB cable and leave the mouse powered on or off according to your normal use while it charges; the documented indication you should look for is the pulsing green LED over the cable connection.

Configure HITS in G HUB
Open the device in G HUB and select HITS Configuration. The panel exposes three click-related controls. Each one changes a different part of the click experience, so adjust them independently instead of changing every slider at once.
| Control | Available range | What changing it does | Trade-off to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Actuation Point | 10 steps | Lower values make the click more sensitive; higher values require a more deliberate press. | A very sensitive setting can register a click with less finger movement, while a higher setting gives more tolerance against an unintended press. |
| Rapid Trigger | 5 steps | Lower values release the click faster as your finger lifts. | Faster release can suit repeated inputs, while a less aggressive value can feel easier to control. |
| Click Haptics | 6 strength values, including 0 (off) | Sets the strength of the click feedback you feel. | Higher haptics strength uses more power and reduces battery life. |
Choose an actuation point
Actuation Point determines how far the button must move before the mouse registers the click. At the lower end of the ten-step range, the click responds to a lighter, shorter press. At the higher end, you must press more deliberately before the input registers.
Start near the middle of the available range. Test ordinary clicks, repeated clicks and the buttons you use most in a familiar game. If a light resting finger causes clicks, move toward a higher value. If the button feels slow to trigger or requires more pressure than you want, move toward a lower value by one step and test again.
Set Rapid Trigger
Rapid Trigger controls release behavior rather than the initial actuation. Lower values release the click sooner as your finger lifts, which can make repeated inputs feel more immediate. Begin at a moderate value and make one-step changes while performing the same repeated action in your game. If the release feels too eager for your grip, use a less aggressive value; if you need the button to reset sooner, move toward the lower end.

Click Haptics controls the strength of the feedback delivered with each click. The scale has six settings, including 0, which turns the effect off. Choose 0 when conserving battery is more important than tactile feedback. Higher strengths make the feedback more pronounced but consume more power and shorten battery life, so treat the setting as both a feel preference and a battery decision.

A practical tuning workflow
- Start at moderate values. Do not begin at the most sensitive actuation or fastest release. A middle setting gives you a neutral baseline.
- Test in a familiar game. Use actions you already know, such as single clicks, repeated clicks and movement that requires controlled button releases.
- Change one control at a time. Alter Actuation Point, Rapid Trigger or Click Haptics separately so you can identify which change affected the feel.
- Move in small steps. The controls are designed for personal adjustment; a one-step change is easier to evaluate than jumping across the range.
- Check accidental input. Rest your finger naturally on the button and perform normal movements. If the click triggers too easily, raise Actuation Point or choose a less aggressive Rapid Trigger value.
- Check release speed. Repeat the same input several times. If the release does not feel quick enough, lower Rapid Trigger one step and repeat the test.
- Balance feedback and battery. If you choose stronger haptics, account for the increased power use. Set Click Haptics to 0 if battery endurance is the priority.
There is no single official “best” combination. Logitech’s guide describes what each control changes but does not prescribe one universal setting, because finger pressure, tolerance for accidental clicks and preferred games differ from player to player.
Import or share a HITS Code
G HUB can import a shared player HITS Code and export your own configuration. Importing is useful when another player has sent you a setup to try, while exporting lets you preserve your current combination of HITS settings for sharing or later restoration.
Treat an imported code as a starting point rather than a guaranteed match for your hand. After loading it, test the mouse in the same familiar game workflow and adjust the controls individually if the actuation, release or haptic strength does not suit you.
Use the optional grip tape and POWERPLAY door
Grip tape
Grip tape is optional. If you decide to apply it, use the supplied surface-preparation cloth first, then fit the tape according to its shaped contact areas. The cloth is included to prepare the surface; it is not part of the wireless connection or G HUB setup.
POWERPLAY aperture door
The optional POWERPLAY aperture door includes a foot. The mouse can use this door in place of the standard storage door, while the receiver-storage option is available by removing the POWERPLAY aperture door and placing the receiver inside the mouse. Store the receiver internally when you need to transport the mouse without the extension adapter attached to the computer.

G HUB does not detect the mouse
- Check that the USB cable is firmly connected to the PC.
- Confirm that the extension adapter is attached to the cable and that the receiver is still installed in the adapter.
- Make sure the mouse power switch is on.
- Move the receiver closer to the mouse, keeping the mouse within 20 cm during the test.
- Move the receiver more than 2 m from a Wi-Fi router or another strong 2.4 GHz source.
- Use current G HUB rather than legacy Logitech Gaming Software.
After correcting the physical arrangement, restart G HUB and check the device view again. The receiver’s location is a likely cause when the mouse powers on but software detection or wireless response is intermittent.

The mouse flashes red
A red flash indicates 15% charge. Connect the USB charging/data cable and look for the pulsing green charging indication. If the cable connection is secure but the charging indication does not appear, check the cable and USB port before changing HITS settings.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe connection drops or feels unreliable
Reposition the receiver first. Logitech’s specified arrangement is within 20 cm of the mouse and more than 2 m from 2.4 GHz interference sources. Avoid leaving the receiver beside a Wi-Fi router or placing it where the computer chassis, desk or other equipment blocks the short path to the mouse.
The clicks trigger too easily
Open HITS Configuration and raise Actuation Point one step. Test again before changing Rapid Trigger. If the release behavior also feels too eager, choose a less aggressive Rapid Trigger value.
The clicks do not release quickly enough
Lower Rapid Trigger one step and repeat the same test. Keep Actuation Point unchanged while testing so you can identify the effect of the release adjustment.
The battery drains faster than expected
Check Click Haptics strength. Higher haptic values consume more power and reduce battery life; set Click Haptics to 0 when preserving battery is more important than feedback strength. Also charge the mouse when the LED flashes red at 15%.

The supplied cable is unavailable
The setup materials directly establish a compatible USB charging/data cable as the replacement path. Use a cable that supports both charging and data, because the documented setup uses the cable for the receiver extension arrangement as well as charging.
Final setup checklist
- USB cable connected to the PC.
- Extension adapter connected to the cable.
- LIGHTSPEED receiver connected through the adapter.
- Mouse switched on.
- Receiver positioned within 20 cm of the mouse.
- Receiver positioned more than 2 m from strong 2.4 GHz interference.
