On the original Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini (model RZ03-0499), switch away from the Factory Default profile before adjusting these settings: Factory Default uses a 2.0 mm actuation point, has Rapid Trigger turned off, and cannot be modified. Razer says other profiles support adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger sensitivity.
Confirm which Huntsman V3 Pro Mini you have
This guide is for the original 60% Huntsman V3 Pro Mini, model RZ03-0499. Razer also sells a separate Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz. Its specifications, including 8000 Hz polling and a stated 0.1–4.0 mm actuation range, belong to that separate model and should not be assumed to apply to RZ03-0499. Check the model number on your keyboard or its product documentation, and use the 8KHz product page only to identify that variant.

The keyboard has six profiles: two presets and four customizable profiles. Factory Default is not editable; it uses 2.0 mm actuation and Rapid Trigger is off. The Last-used Synapse Profile recalls the most recent settings used in Synapse. Select a configurable profile before using the quick adjustments below or changing settings in Synapse.

- CHOSEN BY PRO’S FOR ADVANCED FPS MOVEMENT — With Rapid Trigger, Adjustable Actuation and Razer Snap Tap, the Huntsman V3 Pro offers lightning-fast, precise movements that provides gamers an unbeatable edge especially in FPS games
- RAZER SNAP TAP — Prioritize the latest input between two selected keys without having to release the previous one, and enjoy more responsive inputs for near-instant directional changes in FPS games (latest firmware update required)
- RAPID TRIGGER — A step up from traditional mechanical or optical keyboards to achieve the most responsive and precise inputs; reset keys at the slightest lift of a finger, and experience an advantage in speed that is especially useful for movement in competitive FPS games
- ANALOG OPTICAL SWITCHES GEN-2 — Max out on precision and response with advanced switches for ultra fast repeated inputs, a 0.1–4.0 mm adjustable actuation range, and a 100 million keystroke lifespan
- QUICK ONBOARD ADJUSTMENTS — Make precise, on-the-fly adjustments to actuation height or Rapid Trigger sensitivity with the visual aid of an onboard LED array while saving the settings to the keyboard with no software required
Razer recommends current firmware and Razer Synapse for the best experience. Check the official support page for current releases rather than relying on a version number that may become outdated. The page listed firmware updater v2.01.00_r1, dated January 27, 2026, and noted that it enabled Razer Synapse Web support; that date does not establish that it remains the latest updater.
Adjust the actuation point from the keyboard
- Open adjustment mode: Press Fn + Tab to enter Actuation Point Adjustment mode.
- Choose a setting: Use the arrow keys or multifunction dial to change the actuation point. Read the keyboard’s LED indicators to see the setting in millimeters.
- Test a key: Press an alphanumeric key. The LEDs indicate how deeply the key must be pressed to actuate at the selected setting.
- Save and exit: Press Esc or Fn + Tab.
This quick adjustment applies the chosen sensitivity across the keys. While the mode is active, nonessential keys and lighting customizations are temporarily disabled. Razer says quick adjustments do not permanently overwrite Synapse profiles; settings saved in those profiles can be recalled through Synapse.

Enable and adjust Rapid Trigger
Rapid Trigger lets a key reset and register again as it is released, so another press can register with less upward travel. The exact feel depends on the sensitivity you choose; the feature does not guarantee a particular competitive result.

If an adjustment does not work
- Fn + Caps Lock does not enable Rapid Trigger: Check that the active profile is not Factory Default, where Rapid Trigger is unavailable. Confirm the selected profile, then check the keyboard’s settings in Synapse.
- Synapse does not detect the keyboard: Razer recommends restarting the PC after installing Synapse and installing current Synapse updates. Refer to the support page for current guidance.
- You are unsure whether firmware or Synapse is current: Check the same official support page for the latest release information; do not treat the dated updater version above as current indefinitely.
- A setting or range comes from the Mini 8KHz page: Verify it against documentation for model RZ03-0499 before applying it. The 8KHz variant is a distinct product.
