Use two services together: Nintendo’s official Coming Soon and Sales and Deals pages are the authoritative sources for Switch 2 release dates, pre-orders and first-party promotions. Add the same games to Deku Deals to receive sale emails, compare participating retailers and study price history. Nintendo documents its Wish List as a way to save games, but does not promise a universal release-date notification for every wishlisted title.
This setup separates two jobs that are often confused. Nintendo tells you what is scheduled to release and which offers are running in its own store. Deku Deals watches the titles you choose and can email you when a wishlisted game goes on sale. Used together, they provide a release watchlist, sale notifications and enough price context to avoid buying at an unusually high price.

What each alert method actually does
The right tool depends on whether you need an authoritative date, a notification, or a comparison across stores. The following table shows the practical differences.
| Method | Source authority | Coverage | Notification behavior | Price context | Format and region notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Coming Soon page | First-party Nintendo catalog | Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 releases and pre-orders | The heart icon saves a game to your Wish List; a universal release-alert guarantee is not stated | Release listing rather than a historical price chart | Use the Switch 2 filter and your Nintendo store region |
| Nintendo Sales and Deals page | First-party Nintendo promotions | Digital games, downloadable content and merchandise | Browse current featured offers; the page advises checking back often | Current Nintendo offers and displayed end dates | Offers vary by country, store region and format |
| Deku Deals | Third-party aggregation | Participating retailers and listed Switch 2 titles | After you sign up, wishlist a game and enable email notifications to receive a sale email | Current retailer offers plus detailed price-history charts | Select the correct country, currency, retailers and exact edition; physical and digital availability can differ |
For a release date, start with Nintendo. For a sale email or a cross-store comparison, use Deku Deals. For an eShop promotion, confirm the result on Nintendo’s Sales and Deals page before paying.

Step 1: Build a release watchlist on Nintendo’s Coming Soon page
Filter for Nintendo Switch 2
- Open Nintendo’s official Coming Soon catalog.
- Apply the platform filter for Nintendo Switch 2 so that older Switch listings do not mix with the games you are tracking.
- Open each title that interests you and read the release information shown on its product page.
Nintendo describes this catalog as a place to see what is coming next. It also explains that a digital pre-order can be pre-loaded to your system and played when the game is released. That makes the page the best first-party reference for a planned launch, even if you ultimately buy a physical copy.
Record the displayed date and edition
Write down the release date exactly as Nintendo displays it, along with the title wording. A listing may distinguish a standard game from a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition or an upgrade pack. Keeping the edition name in your notes prevents you from watching one product while intending to buy another.
Release schedules can change. Treat the date as the current Nintendo listing, not as a permanent promise made by every retailer. Reopen the product page when a launch is close, especially if you are planning time off, a gift or a pre-load.
Save the game with the heart icon
If you are not ready to pre-order, press the heart icon on the title page to add the game to your Nintendo Wish List. Nintendo’s wording presents the Wish List as a way to save a game for later. It does not establish that every wishlisted game will generate an automatic release-day email or push notification, so keep your own watch date or use the Coming Soon page again as the launch approaches.
Use pre-loading when it fits your plan
Nintendo states that a digital pre-order can be pre-loaded to the console and played when the game is released. Pre-loading reduces the download wait at launch, but it does not turn a Wish List entry into a notification service. Decide separately whether you want an early digital download, a physical edition or an upgrade path.

Step 2: Turn the same list into sale alerts with Deku Deals
Create an account and choose your region
On Deku Deals, sign up and set the country or region that matches the store where you can actually buy. Region selection affects currency, participating retailers, tax treatment and which edition pages appear. A sale email from another country may not be usable on your Nintendo account or may refer to a different physical package.
Add each Switch 2 game to your wishlist
- Search for the exact title, including “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” or “upgrade pack” when those words are part of the product name.
- Open the matching product page and confirm that the platform is Nintendo Switch 2.
- Add the title to your Deku Deals wishlist.
- Repeat for every game on your Nintendo release list.
Deku Deals says that users who sign up, add games to a wishlist and enable notifications will receive an email when those games go on sale. This is a sale alert, not a guarantee of a release-date alert. Keep the Nintendo list for launch tracking and Deku Deals for price events.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsSelect retailers and email notifications
Choose the retailers you are willing to use, then enable email notifications in your account settings or wishlist controls. Including more retailers can increase the chance of catching a discount, while limiting the list to stores you trust makes each email more actionable. Check that notification settings are enabled for the individual game if Deku Deals presents a per-title control.
Retailer coverage is not identical for every game. A physical listing may appear at one store while the digital version is tracked elsewhere. If a title is missing, search for the edition name, check your region setting and look for a separate digital or physical product entry.
Step 3: Use price history to choose when to buy
Pick a threshold before the email arrives
Deku Deals provides current offers and detailed price-history charts. Use those charts to define a buying rule instead of reacting to every small discount. Common rules include:
Rank #3
- Explore a vast underground world—by smashing your way through it!
- A brand-new 3D platforming action adventure starring Donkey Kong and Pauline
- Bash through just about anything in groundbreaking exploration! Crash through walls and carve tunnels—the more you smash, the more areas open up to you
- Pair up with Pauline to use Bananza Transformations: smash through obstacles with the raw strength of Kong form, gallop with incredible speed as a Zebra, and more
- Team up with a friend in two-player co-op as Donkey Kong and Pauline! Blast foes and terrain alike with Pauline’s voice as you explore together
- Previous-low rule: buy when the listing reaches or beats a prior low for the exact edition and region.
- Percentage rule: buy at a chosen discount, such as 20% or 30% below the regular listed price.
- Deadline rule: buy only when the discount is available before a date such as a birthday or trip.
- Budget rule: set a maximum amount and ignore alerts above it.
These are personal decision rules, not Nintendo requirements or published guarantees. A historical low is useful context, but it does not predict the next promotion or prove that stock will remain available.

Read the chart carefully
Compare like with like. A physical cartridge, a digital download, a Switch 2 Edition and an upgrade pack can have separate price histories. Confirm that the chart covers your region and the same product variant. If the current price is shown beside an older low, treat the older figure as historical evidence rather than a promise that the store will repeat it.
Step 4: Confirm Nintendo’s own promotion
Check Sales and Deals for eShop offers
Nintendo’s Sales and Deals page covers digital games, downloadable content and merchandise. Nintendo recommends checking back often for featured offers and game recommendations or exploring all sales and deals. When Deku Deals emails you about a digital discount, open Nintendo’s page or the Nintendo product listing to confirm that the promotion applies in your store region.
Read the end date and conditions
Sale pages can show an end date, eligibility condition or a specific edition. Read those details before adding the item to your cart. If the offer is for downloadable content, verify that you own the compatible base game. If it is an upgrade pack, verify that you have the version that qualifies for the upgrade.
Match the exact edition before purchasing
The same game name can refer to products with different contents, prices and hardware requirements. Use this check before following an alert:

| Product detail | What to verify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | It says Nintendo Switch 2, not only the original Switch | Performance features, compatibility and pricing can differ |
| Edition | Standard release, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition or another named edition | Bonus content and the entitlement you receive may not be the same |
| Upgrade pack | Whether the listing is an add-on rather than the complete game | An upgrade pack may require an eligible existing copy |
| Format | Digital download or physical release | Delivery, storage, stock and return conditions differ |
| Region and language | Store country, currency and supported language information | A foreign listing may not redeem or work as expected on your account |
| Availability | In stock, back-order status or a live digital purchase button | An alert can arrive after a brief promotion or stock change |
Deku Deals lists Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition as a named Switch 2 catalog item and tracks retailer activity for it. That illustrates why searching the complete edition name is safer than searching only the franchise title.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A reliable weekly alert routine
- At the start of the week, open Nintendo’s Coming Soon page, filter for Nintendo Switch 2 and add newly interesting titles to the Nintendo Wish List.
- For every new title, note the displayed date and the exact edition name.
- Immediately afterward, search that edition on Deku Deals, select your region and preferred retailers, add it to your wishlist and confirm email notifications.
- When a sale email arrives, compare the current offer with the title’s price history and your chosen threshold.
- Before checkout, open the live retailer or Nintendo listing, confirm the edition and format, read the sale end date and check stock.
- After buying, remove the title from sale alerts or change its notification setting so completed purchases do not keep generating messages.
This routine gives Nintendo responsibility for release information and first-party promotions while Deku Deals handles the cross-retailer watch. It also leaves a deliberate verification step between an alert and a purchase.
Troubleshooting alerts and listings
No email arrives after adding a game
- Confirm that the account email is verified and that notification messages are not in a spam or promotions folder.
- Check that the game is on the Deku Deals wishlist, not merely viewed in search results.
- Open the title’s notification control and make sure email alerts are enabled.
- Verify the selected region and retailer list. A game may not have a tracked offer in the chosen market.
- Search the exact edition name again; a standard edition and a Switch 2 Edition may be separate entries.
An absence of an email does not mean Nintendo changed the release date. Nintendo’s Wish List is documented as a saved list, so use the Coming Soon catalog for a direct release check.
The alert shows a price you cannot find
- Open the live listing rather than relying on the amount in the email preview.
- Check whether the alert referred to a physical copy, digital copy or upgrade pack.
- Confirm that your store country and currency match the listing.
- Look for an expired promotion, changed stock status or a different retailer offer.
The game is missing from a retailer
Deku Deals can only display offers it tracks. Search for alternate wording, check whether the title has a separate physical and digital page, and inspect Nintendo’s own listing for the official digital option. Do not substitute a similarly named product without checking the platform and edition fields.
Why region and date matter more than an alert headline
Prices and availability are volatile. Nintendo has announced a US Switch 2 MSRP revision from $449.99 to $499.99 effective September 1, 2026, and a European revision from €469.99 to €499.99 on the same scheduled date. Nintendo’s Japanese-language system launched on June 5, 2025 at 49,980 yen including tax. These hardware figures are not game-sale prices, but they demonstrate why an old price claim should never be treated as current without checking the live regional listing.
Use the currency, tax treatment and store region shown at the moment you buy. A historical chart can help you decide whether to wait, while the current Nintendo or retailer page determines what you can purchase now. If the sale deadline is close, verify it immediately rather than relying on a saved browser tab or an older email.
Release-and-price alert checklist
- Coming Soon is filtered to Nintendo Switch 2.
- The Nintendo product page’s displayed release date is recorded.
- The heart icon has saved the title to Nintendo’s Wish List, with no assumption of an automatic release email.
- The exact edition is added to a Deku Deals wishlist.
- Deku Deals is set to the correct region, currency and acceptable retailers.
- Email notifications are enabled.
- A personal price threshold has been chosen from the relevant price history.
- Nintendo Sales and Deals has been checked for digital games, DLC and merchandise promotions.
- Format, edition, region, stock and sale end date are confirmed on the live listing before payment.
Bottom line
Nintendo’s Coming Soon page and Wish List are the dependable starting point for Switch 2 release tracking, while Nintendo’s Sales and Deals page confirms first-party promotions. Deku Deals adds the missing alert layer: sale emails, retailer coverage and price history. Keep the two lists synchronized, set a clear buying threshold and verify the live edition and region before every purchase.
