To install Netflix on an LG Smart TV, connect the TV to the internet, press Home, open Apps or the LG Content Store, search for Netflix, and choose Install. Open the app and sign in. The exact menu depends on your TV’s webOS version, and Netflix availability can vary by model and country.
Install Netflix from your LG TV’s app store
Before you begin, connect the TV to the internet. Network-based smart services may also require you to sign in to an LG Account, depending on the TV and region. You will need an eligible Netflix subscription to watch subscription content; installing the app does not include one.

- Press Home on the LG remote.
- Open the app area available on your TV: on newer interfaces such as webOS 22, choose Apps; on webOS 5.0, choose LG Content Store.
- Search for Netflix and select it in the results.
- Choose Install. When installation finishes, select Launch or open Netflix from the Home screen.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to Netflix.
LG’s U.S. download guide shows both the Apps flow for webOS 22 and the LG Content Store flow for webOS 5.0. The guide notes that images or content may differ, so labels and layouts on your set may not match those examples exactly. See LG’s instructions for downloading smart apps.

Why Netflix may not appear
Netflix support on one LG TV generation does not guarantee availability on every model or in every country. LG Spain lists compatible generations from 2014 (webOS 1.0) through 2025 (webOS 25), but directs users to check the catalog for their specific TV. Treat the generation list as a reference, not a promise of compatibility. Check LG Spain’s Netflix compatibility information.

- Search the LG app catalog for your TV’s country and exact model. LG says supported apps vary by model and country; its guide to finding Content Store apps explains how to check availability.
- Confirm the webOS version supported by your model. A compatible generation elsewhere does not establish that Netflix is offered for your set in your region.
- Check that the TV is connected to the internet and, if prompted, that you are signed in to an LG Account. LG says network-based smart services require an account, while app availability varies by model and region and content can change without notice. Separate service subscriptions may also be required. See LG’s webOS information.
If Netflix is listed but will not install or open
First verify that the TV can reach the internet. LG Argentina’s support guidance suggests trying another Wi-Fi network or a wired LAN connection, restarting the network equipment and TV, reinstalling the app, and updating the TV software. Its advice is regional and was published in 2023, so menu paths and available fixes may differ on your model. Consult LG Argentina’s Netflix compatibility and troubleshooting guidance alongside support for your exact TV.
When an HDMI streaming player is an option
If Netflix is not offered in the app catalog for your exact TV and region, an HDMI-connected streaming player can provide an alternative way to access streaming services. Check that your TV has a suitable available HDMI input and that the player supports the services you want; separate accounts or subscriptions may still be required. LG identifies HDMI-connected devices as one way to access content without the TV’s network services, and its regional support guidance notes that an external device may help when an app is unsupported. This is a fallback, not a requirement when Netflix installs and works from the built-in app store.
