The AdminBolt VPS template installs AdminBolt on AlmaLinux 9. To use it, select the template in the server’s operating-system settings, open the VPS Web Console after deployment, run bolt-cli admin-sso-generate, and sign in through the generated link. Changing the template erases existing VPS data, and the AdminBolt license is separate from the VPS plan.
What the AdminBolt template installs
The template is a preconfigured AlmaLinux 9 64-bit image with AdminBolt already installed. It is intended for a VPS setup where you want a web-based server control panel rather than a plain operating system. The panel license must be purchased separately from AdminBolt; it is not included with the VPS plan. See Hostinger’s AdminBolt setup guide and its AdminBolt VPS page for product details.

When choosing a VPS image, decide whether you want a clean OS, a preinstalled control panel, or an application/container environment. A control-panel image is useful if you want GUI-based hosting management; a plain OS gives you a less preconfigured starting point. Factor the separate AdminBolt license into your decision.

Select the template in hPanel
- Sign in to hPanel and open VPS.
- Select the VPS you intend to configure.
- Go to OS & Panel → Operating System → Applications.
- Choose AlmaLinux 9 64bit with AdminBolt.
- Back up and download any VPS data you need, then click Change OS to apply the template.
Important: changing or reinstalling a VPS template permanently deletes the data on that VPS. Do not proceed until you have saved anything you need elsewhere. The available template names and hPanel menus may change; Hostinger’s VPS operating-system guide describes the current template-selection flow.

Generate the first AdminBolt login link
- After the template has been deployed, open the VPS dashboard and click Web Console.
- In the browser terminal, run this command exactly:
bolt-cli admin-sso-generate - Copy the unique URL printed in the terminal and open it in a browser to reach AdminBolt.
- At the initial login, change the default admin password. Hostinger identifies this password change as required; choose a strong, unique password.
Hostinger’s product page also describes access at https://your-vps-ip:8443 after installation. For first-time setup, follow the documented Web Console and generated-SSO-link route above rather than treating the direct address as a replacement for it.
What you can manage in AdminBolt
Hostinger describes the panel as a place to create hosting accounts and manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, server metrics, databases, system performance, and reseller accounts. Hostinger says AdminBolt includes a cPanel converter for transferring website files, databases, email accounts, and DNS settings. Its recommended sequence is:
- Back up the existing cPanel account.
- Set up the new VPS with the AdminBolt template.
- Import the data using the migration tools.
- Test the migrated site and services.
- Point the domain to the new VPS IP when you are ready to switch traffic.
