There is no single arcade-stick setup that applies to every Psikyo game. The right steps depend on the exact game, its release or port, and the platform you are playing on. Identify those first; then check that your stick works with the system and configure controls using that game’s own options or documentation.
Start with the exact game and platform
Before changing settings, note the game’s full title, the release or port you own, and where you are playing it—for example, a particular console or a PC with a specified operating system. Psikyo games have appeared in different releases, and the available information does not establish universal arcade-stick compatibility or a button map that works across them.

Check the selected release’s official manual or store documentation for supported controllers and control options. Do not assume instructions for another game, another port, or another platform apply.
Check that the stick works with your system
Connect the stick according to its manufacturer’s instructions and confirm the system recognizes it before troubleshooting the game. On a computer, open the operating system’s controller settings and test the directions and buttons. PXN’s English arcade-fightstick manual directs users to computer controller settings for a functionality check; it does not establish compatibility with any Psikyo game, console, or particular operating system.
#1 Best Overall
- Compatible with Switch and Windows.
- Supports ultimate software - customize button mapping and create macros
- Dynamic button layout - button mapping changes with mode functionally and visually
- Ultra-moddable arcade stick - Universal mounting plate supports Sanwa arcade sticks
- Three ways to connect: Bluetooth, 2.4g and wired USB-C. The included 2.4g receiver has a special hidden compartment to store it safely.
For a console, use its own documentation to check controller support and connection requirements. A USB connection or the fact that a product is sold as an arcade stick does not by itself prove that it will work with your console and game.
Set controls in the selected game
Launch the game and look for its controller, input, or button-assignment options. If the game provides remapping, assign movement and the actions that release supports—typically the firing control and any additional actions shown in its manual. Follow the game’s labels rather than relying on a button layout from another Psikyo title.

- Small Form Factor Fight Stick featuring an 8-button layout and 8ft. cable
- Great for both Arcade and Fighting Games
- Compact, lightweight and portable design
- Features Classic 8-Button Layout and HORI’s Original Joystick with V-cut Housing
- Officially Licensed by Sony
If the game has no remapping option, use platform-level remapping only when the platform documentation confirms it applies to your system and release. The available documentation does not establish an exact Psikyo menu path or a universal platform-level workaround, so avoid applying settings intended for an unrelated game.

Test before starting a full run
- In a title screen, menu, or practice setting, check each direction and confirm the character or menu selection responds as expected.
- Press each assigned action button separately and verify that the game performs the action named in its settings or manual.
- If a control is missing or assigned incorrectly, revisit the game’s input options, or the documented platform remapping settings if the game has none.
Troubleshoot by isolating the failure
- The system does not detect the stick: Recheck the connection and follow the stick maker’s instructions. On a computer, repeat the controller-settings functionality check before changing game settings.
- The system detects the stick, but the game does not: Check the selected release’s controller documentation and settings. Recognition by the operating system alone does not confirm that a game supports the stick.
- The game detects input, but a control is wrong: Use the game’s own assignment options if available, then test the changed input in a menu or practice setting.
- You are considering a different stick: Verify support for your specific platform and operating system, its connection requirements, and whether the selected game recognizes it directly or requires documented remapping. Match its available controls to the actions in that release.
Choose a stick only after checking compatibility
There is not enough established information here to recommend a specific model for all Psikyo games. For an arcade stick for PC or a console-compatible stick, check the manufacturer’s compatibility information against your exact system, then confirm that the game release supports the controller or permits an appropriate documented remapping. The PXN manual cited above describes a product and a system-level function check, not Psikyo-specific compatibility.
