OneStream queues the selected videos in sequence as a single live broadcast. Playlist streaming is documented for Professional and Enterprise plans, not Free.
Before you start
- Connect the YouTube account and channel you intend to use in OneStream Live.
- Have the prerecorded video files available on your device, in OneStream’s OSL Storage, or in supported cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Check that your OneStream plan supports playlists. OneStream’s Help Center lists Professional and Enterprise as eligible; its Free-plan limitations say playlist creation and streaming are unavailable on Free. Plan terms can change, so check your account if the interface or plan information differs. OneStream Live
- Make sure the YouTube channel is ready for live streaming. Google’s guide advises enabling Live at least 24 hours ahead and verifying the account. This is readiness guidance, not a complete list of current channel eligibility rules. Google / YouTube Live Streaming Guide
Connect YouTube to OneStream Live
- In the OneStream Live dashboard, open Social Platforms.
- Choose Add Platform, or select Connect beside YouTube.
- Select YouTube, choose the account and channel category, and complete the connection flow.
- Return to Social Platforms and confirm that the account appears as connected. OneStream’s YouTube setup guide documents this connection path. OneStream Live YouTube setup guide
Create a scheduled broadcast from multiple files
- Open Pre-recorded Stream in the dashboard and choose Add Videos.
- Select the files you want to include. OneStream’s file picker can draw from your device, OSL Storage, or cloud storage such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Select the desired videos and continue.
- Choose YouTube as the destination and continue.
- Enter the stream details requested in the dashboard, then schedule the broadcast for the intended date and time.
The selected videos form a sequence: OneStream describes the playlist as multiple videos queued to play back-to-back as one live broadcast. Its instructions do not establish that users can edit transitions between individual files or guarantee gapless transitions in every case, so preview the program and allow for possible transitions or processing behavior rather than promising seamless cuts. Prepare and verify the YouTube event
Schedule early enough to confirm the event and channel readiness. Google’s Live Streaming Guide recommends testing the complete setup privately in YouTube Studio before a public broadcast. It also suggests an event structure and publishing the archive for on-demand viewing or organizing archives in a live playlist; these are audience and post-stream choices, not prerequisites for creating a OneStream playlist. - Review the chosen video files and their order before scheduling.
- Check the destination, title, description, visibility, and schedule in the OneStream flow and the corresponding YouTube event.
- Confirm you have the rights needed to stream every video, including music and other third-party material. A live broadcast can still raise copyright issues; using prerecorded files does not remove that responsibility.
Playlist stream or continuous 24/7 stream?
These are separate OneStream workflows. Use a scheduled playlist for a defined program made from multiple videos. Use the distinct 24-hour Stream feature when the goal is a continuous YouTube broadcast. OneStream’s current Help Center documentation says its 24-hour Stream is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and has a maximum duration of 30 days. Free-plan limits to know
OneStream’s Help Center lists the Free plan as limited to 15-minute prerecorded live streams, maximum 720p resolution, and 1 GB of uploaded video or media storage; it also says playlist creation and streaming are unavailable on Free. These are OneStream plan limits documented in August 2026, not YouTube-wide limits, and may change. Check the current plan details in your account before building a workflow around them. Troubleshoot common setup problems
YouTube is not available as a destination
Return to Social Platforms and check that the intended YouTube account is connected. If it is missing or connected to the wrong channel, repeat the connection flow and confirm the account and channel category.

You cannot create or stream a playlist
Check plan eligibility: OneStream documents playlist streaming for Professional and Enterprise and excludes it from Free. If your plan is eligible but the option still does not appear, confirm the current plan and interface details in your account or with OneStream support.

Check whether the file is available on the device or in the selected OSL Storage or cloud-storage location, then reopen Add Videos and select the correct source.

The broadcast is not scheduled as expected
Review the selected destination, stream details, and scheduled time in the dashboard. Confirm the YouTube channel is live-enabled and verified; Google’s guide recommends enabling Live at least 24 hours in advance.
