You can set separate price alerts for Meta (META), Tesla (TSLA) and Netflix (NFLX) in Yahoo Finance, then turn on earnings notifications for the same followed companies. On iPhone or iPad, open a quote and tap Alerts; on Android, open the quote’s Summary tab, tap Alerts, choose “Create new price alert,” enter the level and tap Done. Earnings alerts are a separate setting, so follow each company and enable earnings-result and upcoming-week notifications. This guide shows the exact mobile paths, how to schedule reminders, and what to check when a notification does not appear.
What the two alert types do
A price alert watches one ticker for a target level that you choose. You need a separate alert for every symbol and every target level you care about. For example, an alert for META at one level does not also cover TSLA or NFLX.

An earnings alert is independent of price alerts. It tells you about an earnings result or an upcoming earnings week for companies you follow. Creating a price alert alone will not subscribe you to earnings notifications.
Yahoo Finance’s iOS help describes the result this way: “When your target is met, a push notification will be sent to your device.” The exact controls and available alert limits can change as the app and account plans change, so use the current labels shown in your installation.

Use the correct ticker symbols

Confirm the company name and exchange shown on the quote before saving an alert. A symbol search can return related instruments, and an alert attached to the wrong instrument will not answer the question you intended to monitor.
Set a price alert on iPhone or iPad
Yahoo Finance documents the following iOS workflow in its price-alert help page.
- Open the Yahoo Finance app and search for META, TSLA or NFLX.
- Open the quote for the company you want to monitor.
- Tap the Alerts icon on the quote page.
- Enter the target price and create the alert.
- Repeat the process for each company and each additional target level you need.
When the target is met, Yahoo Finance says it sends a push notification to the device. The alert is tied to the symbol and level you entered; it is not a single “watch all three” rule.

Edit or delete an iOS alert
Reopen the quote’s Alerts control to review an existing alert. From that control, use the available edit or delete action to change the level or remove the alert. If you no longer need a level, deleting it prevents an old threshold from generating a later notification.
Set a price alert on Android

- Open Yahoo Finance and search for META, TSLA or NFLX.
- Open the quote and stay on its Summary tab.
- Tap the Alerts icon.
- Choose Create new price alert.
- Enter the target price and tap Done.
To inspect alerts you already created, use View price alerts. Review this list after setting up all three symbols so you can verify that the ticker and level for each alert are correct.
Turn on earnings notifications for META, TSLA and NFLX
Earnings notifications require two things: the companies must be followed, and the relevant notification types must be enabled. Yahoo Finance provides notification controls at finance.yahoo.com/notifications.

- Add META, TSLA and NFLX to your Yahoo Finance watchlist or follow each company individually.
- Open Yahoo Finance notification settings.
- Enable notifications for earnings results.
- Enable notifications for upcoming-week earnings if you want advance notice of companies reporting in the coming week.
- Save or confirm the settings, then verify that the three companies remain in your followed list.
These controls cover earnings information rather than a chosen share-price threshold. Keep them enabled even if you already have price alerts; the two alert systems answer different questions.
Schedule a precise earnings reminder
If a broad upcoming-week notice is too early, Yahoo Finance also documents earnings reminders that can be scheduled for a selected day, hour and minute. Use the reminder option available for the followed company or its earnings event, choose the date and time you want, and confirm it. The current options and any account restrictions are shown in Yahoo Finance’s plan comparison at finance.yahoo.com/about/plans/compare/.
A scheduled reminder is useful when you need a calendar-like prompt before a known report. It does not replace the earnings-result notification: the reminder is your chosen time, while a result notification concerns the company’s reported results.

Check notification permissions before troubleshooting
A correctly created alert can still be invisible if notifications are blocked at either level: inside Yahoo Finance or by the phone’s operating system. Check both before recreating alerts.
Yahoo Finance settings
Open the app’s account area and review its notification controls. On Android, Yahoo’s documented path is Account > Notifications > Manage; the Android instructions are available at Yahoo Finance notification preferences. Confirm that price and earnings categories you need are enabled.
iPhone or iPad permission
In iOS Settings, open the system notification settings, select Yahoo Finance and allow notifications. Review the alert presentation choices offered by iOS, such as banners, sounds or the notification center, according to how prominently you want the message displayed.
Android permission
In Android’s system app-notification settings, select Yahoo Finance and allow its notifications. Android versions and phone manufacturers can label this screen differently; look for the Yahoo Finance app entry and its notification switch or channels.
After changing permissions
- Return to Yahoo Finance and confirm that META, TSLA and NFLX are still followed for earnings notices.
- Reopen the price-alert list and verify each symbol and target.
- Check that the phone is not suppressing the app through a device-wide notification mode or a per-app channel setting.
- If an alert was deleted while troubleshooting, recreate it from the quote page rather than assuming the old rule remains active.
Build an alert plan that is easy to audit
Create one rule for each decision level
Price alerts are most useful when each one corresponds to a decision you have already defined. If you want notice at two different prices for TSLA, create two TSLA alerts. Do the same independently for META and NFLX. The documented workflows do not create a portfolio-wide rule from one entry.

Record the symbol, target price and reason for the alert in your own notes. The phone notification tells you that a target was met; it does not explain whether the level was intended for research, a portfolio review or another action.

Separate price monitoring from event monitoring
Keep a small list of price levels and a separate list of earnings reminders. This prevents an earnings notification from being mistaken for a price trigger and makes it easier to disable one type without losing the other.
Review stale levels
When your objective changes, reopen the quote’s alert control on iOS or View price alerts on Android. Remove levels that no longer matter and add new ones only after checking the company symbol. This keeps the notification stream tied to current decisions instead of accumulating obsolete thresholds.

You can use Yahoo Finance for the three-symbol price-and-earnings setup described here and choose a platform with technical or multi-condition support only when those extra rules are genuinely needed. Do not assume that an alert limit, frequency or premium feature shown in an older guide still applies to your account.
Common setup mistakes and fixes
You created an alert for only one company
Each symbol needs its own quote-page workflow. Search the other two tickers and create their alerts individually. Then inspect the alert list to confirm all three appear.
You expected a price alert to announce earnings
Price and earnings alerts are separate. Follow the companies and enable earnings-result and upcoming-week notifications in Yahoo Finance’s notification settings.
The ticker is right but no push message appears
Check Yahoo Finance’s in-app controls and the phone’s operating-system permission. On Android, use Account > Notifications > Manage; on iOS, review Yahoo Finance under system notification settings. Also verify that the alert still exists and that the target price was entered as intended.
You cannot find the same label shown in a guide
App interfaces change. Look for the current Alerts, Create new price alert, View price alerts, earnings results and upcoming-week earnings labels in the live app. Yahoo’s iOS and Android help pages remain the authoritative paths for the documented workflows.
You reached an alert or reminder limit
Limits, frequencies and premium features depend on current account terms. Check the live Yahoo Finance plan comparison before deleting useful rules or assuming that upgrading or changing plans will provide a particular allowance.
Five-minute verification checklist
- Search results show META, TSLA and NFLX, with the intended company quote open for each.
- Every required symbol has its own target-price alert.
- On iOS, each alert was created from the quote’s Alerts icon; on Android, each was created from Summary > Alerts > Create new price alert.
- All three companies are followed for earnings.
- Earnings-result and upcoming-week notifications are enabled.
- Any precise earnings reminder has the intended day, hour and minute.
- Yahoo Finance notification controls and the phone’s operating-system permission both allow notifications.
- Old or unwanted alert levels have been edited or deleted.
When to choose advanced alert conditions
Simple target-price alerts are appropriate when one price level is enough to prompt a review. Consider an alert system with technical, watchlist or multi-condition support when your rule depends on more than a single quote value—for example, a combination of conditions that must all be true. TradingView’s documentation specifically covers those categories, while the Yahoo Finance instructions cited here document the direct target-price and earnings workflows.
Whatever platform you use, validate the current plan terms and notification permissions before relying on an alert for a time-sensitive decision. An alert is a prompt to check the live market information, not a substitute for reviewing the quote, the event details and your own criteria.
