Build a Pabbly Connect workflow with a website-event or webhook trigger, a screenshot action, and a WhatsApp action that explicitly supports sending images to your intended group. Pabbly lists a WhatsScale “Send Image To Group” action; do not assume that a recipient-oriented WhatsApp Cloud API media action can post to an existing group. First check the selected connector and account against the group you plan to use.
How the workflow fits together
Pabbly Connect workflows use a trigger followed by one or more actions. For this task, the flow is:

- Trigger: a website event or webhook tells Pabbly when to run.
- Screenshot: a screenshot service captures the webpage and returns an image or image URL.
- WhatsApp delivery: a compatible provider sends that image to the group.
Pabbly’s website-to-WhatsApp tutorial demonstrates a Web by Pabbly trigger connected to a website form through a generated webhook URL. The WhatsApp action is the critical compatibility check. Pabbly lists a WhatsScale action called “Send Image To Group,” which is specifically described as a group-image action. Confirm in your Pabbly account that the action is available and can send to the particular group you intend to use before building the rest of the workflow. The listing is evidence of an available action, not a guarantee of eligibility for every account or group. See Pabbly’s WhatsScale integration listing.

Do not substitute a generic WhatsApp media action without checking. Pabbly’s WhatsApp Cloud API tutorial describes sending a template message with an image URL mapped alongside a recipient number. That documents a recipient-oriented flow; it does not establish that the action can post to any existing group. See Pabbly’s WhatsApp Cloud API tutorial.
Set up the Pabbly workflow
1. Choose the website trigger
- Create a workflow in Pabbly Connect.
- Choose a trigger that matches how the screenshot should be requested. For a website form, follow the Web by Pabbly webhook route: generate the webhook URL in the trigger step, then configure the form or website event to send its data there.
- Send a test event and verify that Pabbly receives the page URL and any other fields you need. Use the URL field from this event in the screenshot step.
If the screenshot should be taken on a schedule rather than after a form submission, choose a suitable available trigger instead; the source-supported tutorial specifically demonstrates the website-form webhook route, not every possible trigger configuration.
2. Add the screenshot action
Add the HTML to Image app’s Capture Website Screenshot action and map the webpage URL from the trigger. Pabbly lists this action for capturing a screenshot from a URL. The same integration also lists Generate Image from HTML and CSS, which is for generating an image from supplied markup and styles rather than capturing a live page. Inspect the test output before continuing. Identify whether the action returns an image URL or another kind of output, then use the value the WhatsApp action accepts. For the delivery route in Pabbly’s tutorial, the image URL must be publicly accessible to the receiving service; a private or local-only file URL will not work through that route.
3. Add a group-capable WhatsApp action
- Choose a provider and action that explicitly supports sending an image to a group. Pabbly lists WhatsScale’s “Send Image To Group” action; select it if it is available for your account and verified for the target group.
- Connect the provider account and select or identify the intended group using the fields that action presents.
- Map the screenshot image or its accessible URL to the image field. Map any required caption or other fields only if the action provides them.
- Test delivery using a permitted test group. Confirm the destination, that WhatsApp received the content as an image, and that the screenshot is legible.
Pabbly’s separate D7/HTML to Image listing includes screenshot and WhatsApp media actions, but those listings do not establish that its WhatsApp actions send to groups. Test the whole route and troubleshoot
The trigger does not start the workflow
Check that the website form or event is sending data to the generated Web by Pabbly webhook URL, then send a fresh test event and confirm Pabbly receives it. Verify that the event includes the page URL you intend to capture.

The screenshot step returns no usable image
Confirm that you selected Capture Website Screenshot for a live URL rather than the HTML/CSS image-generation action, and that the mapped URL is present in the trigger output. Run the screenshot action by itself and inspect its output before mapping it into WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp action cannot access the image
Use an image URL that is publicly accessible to the demonstrated delivery route, as Pabbly’s tutorial requires. If the screenshot step returns a private or non-public result, arrange an accessible image output supported by your chosen flow before testing delivery.
The image arrives privately or not in the group
Re-check that the selected provider action is explicitly a group image action and that the connected account can target this exact group. A media action that takes a recipient number is not proof of support for an existing group. Ask the provider or check its current setup requirements if the action is unavailable or the group cannot be selected.

The message sends but the screenshot is hard to read
Inspect the captured image itself and its dimensions before blaming WhatsApp delivery. Confirm that the screenshot step captured the intended page and that the test image is readable at the size delivered. The cited Pabbly listings do not specify a universal image-size or display guarantee, so check the selected action’s current requirements if it rejects the file.

A useful test checks all three handoffs independently: the trigger supplies the correct URL, the screenshot step produces an image the next step can access, and the WhatsApp provider sends that image to the intended group. Keep the test group separate from routine announcements until the complete route is confirmed. Exact group eligibility and provider-specific account requirements are not established by the cited integration listings; verify them with the selected provider.
The available Pabbly materials identify workflow actions and demonstrate a publicly accessible image URL requirement, but do not establish current pricing, execution limits, delivery guarantees, or group eligibility for every provider and account.
