To capture a product price on an infinite-scroll page, scroll the listing until the product and price have loaded and are visible, then capture the product card or a finite portion of the page. A full-page screenshot only includes content available to the capture; it cannot show products the site has not loaded yet. Check the saved image and keep the page URL and capture time with it for context.
Why an infinite-scroll page needs preparation
Infinite-scroll listings load more products as you move down the page. The target card may not exist in the page yet when you first open it, so taking a screenshot immediately can miss the price. Some sites also replace or remove earlier content as you scroll.

“Full page” describes the content available to the screenshot operation at capture time; it is not a promise to capture every item an unbounded feed could load. Set a practical boundary—usually the target product or a chosen section of the listing—and verify that the resulting image includes it.

- Open the product listing and identify the item whose displayed price you need.
- Scroll the page until the product card is in view. If the listing has its own scroll panel, scroll inside that panel rather than the outer page.
- Wait for the card, price text, and any images to finish loading. If the site adds more items only after scrolling, continue until the target appears.
- Capture the target card, a readable viewport, or the loaded page, depending on how much surrounding context you need.
- Open the saved screenshot and confirm that both the product and price are legible. Keep the listing URL and capture time alongside the image.

Automate the capture with Playwright
Playwright can capture either a full scrollable page or a specific element. Its full-page option does not itself trigger the site’s infinite-scroll loading; scroll and wait for the target first. Runnable JavaScript example
Install Playwright with npm install playwright. Save this as capture-price.js, replacing the URL and the example selector with selectors from the target site, then run node capture-price.js. The script scrolls until the product locator appears, waits for it to be visible, and saves a focused image of the card.

If the listing scrolls inside a nested panel, scroll that panel instead of calling window.scrollBy. If a price is inserted after the card appears, add a locator for the price and wait for it to be visible before taking the screenshot.

Capture a finite loaded page instead
If context matters more than a close-up, scroll until the required range has loaded, then capture the loaded page with fullPage: true:

Capture with Chrome DevTools
For a manual capture in Chrome, open the listing, scroll until the price is loaded, and use a normal viewport or selected-area screenshot if readability is the priority. To include content beyond the viewport, open Device Mode, open the More options menu, and choose Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome documents this option in its Device Mode documentation. The full-size result still reflects page content available to the capture, not products that have yet to load.
Troubleshoot missing or unreadable prices
- The target product is missing: Scroll farther and wait for the listing to load it; then recapture. Confirm whether the inner listing panel, rather than the whole page, needs scrolling.
- The card appears but the price does not: Wait for the price element or its text to appear before capturing. Some pages load card details after the card itself.
- The screenshot is excessively tall: Capture the product element or a finite viewport/section instead of the entire loaded listing.
- Earlier products disappear while scrolling: The page may not retain all visited items in the document. Capture the target while it is present, or use a finite range that remains loaded.
- The price is hard to read: Prefer the card or viewport capture over a scaled-down full-page image, and inspect the saved file at its original size.
